Has anything changed in iTunes to upload a new Binary.? - iphone

I have an app in iTunes which i wanted to update with a new version. As according to the normal procedure, I have archived the file via XCode and then I tried to validate but it said "No suitable application records were found". After some search I came to know that the App status needs to be changed to ready to upload then I can do what I want. But when I logged in to iTunes, there is no option to upload a new binary, as can be seen in the image below..
instead there is some promo code option there. But in the previous window, there was an option to "ADD VERSION" as in the image,
but this link is not working as well.. When I click "Add Version" this page comes up.
and when I click continue on this page, it again sends me to the page showed in image 2.. Is there anything under maintenance in the site currently.? Can someone please check and respond.
Can anyone please tell me what shall be the proper procedure to follow in this case.
Thanx In advance..

Don't click Continue, click the "Member Center" link, and agree to the new program license agreement. This will allow you to create a new version.

To Upload new binary, you need to have new version with app state 'Ready To upload Binary',
Click on Add Version and add update details...make app statue 'Ready to upload'. Then Upload.

Actually the process I followed is proper. When we click the member center link, it shows this "Under Maintenance" window..
So this is the problem. Untill they maintain their site, we cant accept member center terms, and hence we wont be able to upload any new version. So just wait for them to be up with the link again.

Some maintenance might be going on. U can wait for a day and try later.

Updating App with new version on app store and when to change app details?

I have made new version of the app and i want to update it on apple store. Also i want to change some keywords and screen shots, because there are new features.
But browsing the stack overflow i noticed that some of these properties are editable only during the upload. Since i don't want to mess things up, and it is delicate matter, i would like step by step instructions, if possible.
So do I first upload binary (in xode archive and then distribute), and after that go to my developer account and edit things, or reverse?
The two items that are locked after app submission are Screenshots and Keywords. Description Metadata may be updated at any time, even after approval. Data in the "Version Information" section cannot be edited after the app is made "Ready for Sale" with the exception of the copyright notice.
The process you will most likely want to follow is:
Create a "New Version" placeholder for your app in iTunesConnect
Update your Keywords
Update your Screenshots (Be sure to include 3.5", 4", and iPad if applicable)
Update Description
Set App as "Ready to Upload Binary"
Submit the binary -- AFTER THIS POINT YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO EDIT SCREENSHOTS OR KEYWORDS WITHOUT REJECTING THE BINARY
After Approval, you can still edit Description
Hope this helps!
I did it like this for my first app :P
click the app you want to update in "Manage your apps".
then add version.
edit everything you want! and done.

Make Update to a live iPhone app

I have an iPhone app which is aleready live on the app store...Now I want to make small updates to the app (fixes and adding iAd)
How do I submit the new updated app..Will that create a new version OR is that not required?
Also in iTunes Connect, I do not see any link which says Submit update or new version..
Do I first have to upload via Loader ...Please guide me. Thank you.
You should update the "version" field in your .plist, then submit a new binary.
In the application page, there is a "Add Version" button in the lower right corner, as follows:
Click "Add Version", clarify what is being updated/fixed/upgraded in the new version, make sure that all the other fields are correct, and then submit.
After that, you will have to use the Application Loader (Mac App) to upload your binary.
No matter how small or insignificant the updates are, you have to add a new version. Note that the current version will not be removed from the store, so you will not lose sales (or downloads).
Also, note that while there are technical ways to slightly circumvent this (e.g., by downloading dynamic code from the internet), such practices are strictly forbidden and will cause your app to be rejected.

How do I upload the app updates in the new iTunes Connect UI

I was just going to update my iPhone app. I've added the "What's New in this version" info and update everything but I can't figure out where to upload the app itself. Can anyone help me with this?
You need to click the button on the top right of the page that says "Ready to Upload" (or something really similar). You should then be able to compile the app and upload it using the Application Loader.

iTunes Connect uploading issue

Too bad that iTunes Connect changed its behavior recently. I'm providing an update to an existing app. I submitted new binary using the Loader without problem on the first try. Then I discovered that different from before, one has to reject the binaries in order to change screenshots.
Too bad that the update is in the status of "In Review". Well, I have to rejected my binaries and begin to upload new screenshots, because I don't want to display screenshots of previous version. The new screen shots are uploaded but I'm stuck in "Developer rejected" status. Meaning I cannot upload the binaries and not able to change screenshots from that time on. The following error will appear when click Save Changes in either situations.
"There was an error saving changes. Please try again later or contact
iTunes Connect Support at itunesconnect#apple.com."
I checked the source of the error page and think it's this error
id="lcBoxWrapperHeaderTextUpdaterContainer"
action="/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/wo/7.0.0.9.7.7.1.1.1.1" errorId="ajaxContainerError"
I have reported iTune Connect via the "Contact us" link on this issue but not get any response back for 2 days already. Very disappointing.
Did anybody experience similar issue? How did you resolve this?

AppStore: changing the icon after the app is published?

My app is already available on the appstore, but after getting some feedback I'm having second thoughts about the icon.
I know the large version of the icon is supposed to look like the device version. But what if I upload a different one, without changing the binary icon, now that the app is already published? Could that get my app removed?
And if I decide to also change the binary icon and re-upload a binary with just that change, would that be considered as an update and go through the review process?
They shouldn't care if you update the store images/text, as long as it still looks reasonable. If you post an update, it will go through "review", but if the update change notes say that you only updated the icon, they'll likely pass it through pretty quickly.
You could always send an email to the App Store help email (it's listed on a bunch of the iTunes Connect pages), and see what they say. They've gotten back to me relatively quickly every time I've asked them a question.
I don't think your icon looks all that bad, actually.
It is not possible, when your app uploaded and successfully published then after we cant change the app icon ....so you have to upload again with different icon.
Thanks
