I am getting the error A signed resource has been added, modified, or deleted while releasing applications in to my iPod. previously by mistake i tried releasing the same application in to iPod but it didnt run as there was errors in my application. After rectifying the errors when i tried releasing the app its showing the above mentioned error..
Pleasing can anyone help me..
Try to do a clean build (Cmd-Shift-K to clean all targets). If that does not work, look into a previous question on this topic.

Yesterday i was testing my app in the iOS simulator and everything was working fine. I then decided to run the app on my iPhone and i got the error unable to install application, Unknown error occurred this has happened before so I cleaned my build folder (as this has fixed this issue before) however, the same error occurred. I then ran the app in the iOS simulator again and now i get the error Unable to run app in Simulator, An error was encountered while running (Domain = LaunchServicesError, Code = 0). I find this very weird as i didn't change anything besides trying to run the app on my iPhone. I have tried every solution given on this post and still no luck.
I'm sorry if my question doesn't contain much detail but as I said I didn't change anything and it was building and running fine a minute before plugging in my iPhone and trying to run it on there.
Any help would be much appreciated.
edit
I tried running other projects (with and without extensions) and they are working on both simulator and iPhone, therefore the problem must be within my project. (my project does have a today extension)
In that kind of cases I usually :
Product > Clean
Close xCode
Delete the Derived Data (in ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData subfolders)
Delete the app on the iPhone
Reboot the iPhone
Restart and rebuild
I had this problem. In my case, it was caused by the Build value being blank. After putting a value there, and resetting the simulator once more, the issue went away.
I had the same problem and checking the system log carefully helped me to identify a coliding library that was causing this error. You can also check this answer if you are using extensions.
Generally it means there is a problem with the build, it may be due to old cache (solved by a clean build) or a project definition error (missing library, bad definition in info.plist, etc).
In my case it happened only on iOS 8, turns out that my widget had the wrong bundle ID.
My IPhone app is suddenly giving a SIGABRT error message when I attempt to run it on my iPhone, before even the first line of the application delegate is reached. It runs fine in the simulator, and even restoring previously working snapshots give the same error when I attempt to load the application on the device.
I fiddled with the Product Name build setting and the data model prior to the problem occurring, but as mentioned, old snapshots that ran fine now won't load, suggesting that the problem isn't in the code.
I have tried restarting xCode, the computer, the iPhone and deleting the app but the problem is still occurring.
I am sure that the problem lies with the device
Any ideas what the problem might be or how I can fix it?
Taking on Till's suggestions I reinstalled iOS (well, actually I updated it to 5.1) and everything is working again. Thanks for the advice. I've no idea what went wrong, but at least its working again now!
My app has been (correctly) rejected by Apple as it crashes when you try to use the offline maps. The crash is in the route-me code libraries so the crash log isn't that helpful. In test it is fine, and does not crash, so I can't recreate the test condition successfully.
I am running on the same version of iOS (4.3.3) as Apple. I've tried forcing the location code to return a location on California.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
When I had problems with getting an app accepted to the App Store on Apple's end but not my own it ended up being some of the build dependencies for an external library I was using. I had set them in my Debug build but not my Release builds. Since I didn't test on Release builds, I never noticed the crashing. Apple did however, since that's what I sent them.
It may be an issue on their end.
This happened to me ( iPhone Crash with "No Backtrace" ). I resubmitted with no changes and my app was approved. Months later I have never reproduced or heard complaints of a single crash.
I'd recommend resubmitting an identical binary. While you wait for approval, try re-running a clean build, deleting and reinstalling the app from your device, and ad-hoc testing on "clean" devices that you haven't deployed to before to try and reproduce the crash.
I had the same problem with Apple. When I was running my app with offline maps on the iPhone simulator, iPhones or iPad, I had no problem. But with Instrument, the app was crashing when I set the delegate of the MapView to the ViewController.
The way to fix is really simple :
Had the code [RMMapView class]; just before the [mapView setDelegate:self];.
If I remember correctly, the compiler was not able to find a .xib file. Sorry don't remember exactly why I made this, but it works.
I have an iPhone app that's been in development for about 2 weeks. We recently tried the "release" version of the build on a device, and to our great unhappiness, it crashes in one of the views with an "EXC_BAD_ACCESS".
This crash only occurs on devices, and only in the "release" build. Not only that, but it only happens the first time the app is launched! It is also 100% reproducible.
We have removed the small block of code that deals with data persistence, and have tried re-openning Xcode, cleaning the project, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc., as some other questions suggest.
Do you have any advice for a) what might be causing this problem, and b) how to go about debugging if it only happens in "release"?
Thanks
It turns out there was no problem in the code at all.
The reason it was crashing was that Xcode was trying to attach the debugger to the release build for some reason! We are still trying to figure out why, because we have checked the most obvious places, but I'm sure it won't be too hard to track down.
The build works fine if you install from iTunes or the Xcode organizer instead of building and running from Xcode directly, so it won't affect your end-users at all, as long as you are careful to check for other first-run issues.
We can only guess what the cause might but if it's 100% reproducible, then it should be a good candidate for some fprintf-style debugging.
Figure out the most probable place for the error to occur, and start putting "Got past xxx view initialization" style statements in to start narrowing the problem. It's tedious, but eventually, you'll get there.
In theory fprintf statements could affect the problem. However, it's rare that it does so, so it's a good place to start.
When I tried to upload a build on device it give the following error.
Your mobile device has encountered an unexpected error (0xE8000001)
I am unable to solve this problem. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Anytime i get an unexpected error i hard reboot my device by holding down the home and lock buttons until the apple logo appears. No idea what causes it, but the reboot usually fixes it.
This seems to be a bug that is puzzling many users. No idea what the error actually is, but on this forum people claim:
this error will require you to restore your iPhone/touch, either through Xcode's Organizer window or iTunes. No way around it".
This basically happens when there's a communications error between Xcode and the iPhone which leaves Xcode confused about the state the iPhone is in. (You can actually make it happen sometimes by unplugging the phone in the middle of installing a build.) As the error message's text suggests, turning the iPhone off and back on will usually clear the error. You may sometimes have to restart Xcode or even your whole Mac, but not often.
To all
The problem get solved. When I set provisioned profile of device. It works.
Thanks for your help & guideline.
