I am trying to set up the Rating control from the Ajax Control Toolkit in a .NET 2010 app. I'm not trying to do anything fancy. Just configure it to the minimum. I an't seem to find any documentation on how to ge this to work.

Recently I was reading an article about "Browser Internals" and suddenly this idea struck me.
What if I create my own Browser?
So, I have two questions with me.
Question 1:
Is it possible to integrate an Open source Web Engine like "Servo" or "WebKit" to my custom Browser UI interface created using QtCreator or Visual Studio?
Question 2:
Is there any other components that needs to be inserted between the UI created using C++(QtCreator) and Servo or WebKit?
Note:
I am a complete beginner to this field and these questions were asked in a curiosity to learn internal stuff. Pardon if the Questions were not standard.

Yes, it is possible. Browser engines have public APIs to provide a way to embed them. For example, the goal of this little project was to present how to build up your own UI interface (using Aura) and wire Chromium (browser engine) into that.

If you prefer Qt technologies, then QtWebEngine will be the solution. The intent of this module is exactly what you have described: to embed Chromium engine into Qt applications with hiding its most painful parts and provide convenient API to customise your browser application.

You don't necessarily have to use extra layers between your application and a browser engine, but if you are a complete beginner, I would highly recommend that.
I am newbie in Xamarin; I know there must be ready components for what I need, already I searched but not yet found.

I'm currently looking into graphing too and OxyPlots seems to be a pretty good line graph tool. I don't think it supports dynamic updating so you'd have to program it to update manually when new data points come available.
I've not gotten round to actually using this myself but I thought I'd post this here in case it works for you.
Edit: Here's a list of examples. Also you can add it to your project using nuget so it should be easy to set up.

I am trying to automate UI interactions for a C++ MFC application. I tried to find elements' automation ID using UISpy and UIAVerify tools. I am on win2k3.
There is a tab control, the automation ID of which is visible to UISpy but not to UIAVerify.
The issue is - it is not visible even to the C# code that I write using Project White framework or ui automation framework of .net 3.0.
I want to get handle to this control the way UISpy gets it. Is there any way I can find out how UISpy does it?

UISpy is likely using Microsoft UI Automation under the covers. You can see how this works from this example*. There are all kinds of conditions on AutomationElement which you can use to locate them.
I've only worked with WPF tabs, but found it really, really hard to locate them by Automation Id. Instead I've been using the AutomationName property, with the title on the tab as the value. Not sure if White supports this, but I'm pretty sure you can get the original AutomationElement out and use it as per the example.
You'll also probably be looking for something supporting the SelectionItemPattern (there's a SelectionItemIsSupportedProperty), and you'll need to use the pattern to select the tab and make it active before you can see anything in it.
Please comment if you need any more info. It might help to know what the structure of your container with tabs in is.

I would definitely recommend checking it (I am a little biased as I wrote it!).
But it's just a simple DLL that you include in your MVC project and it will give you all the benefits of HTML5 input types. If the browser doesn't support it - it will just fall back to a normal textbox.
To answer your questions though, it only adds a benefit if you are looking to add HTML5 functionality to your application or website. It uses the exact same syntax and the normal HTML helpers that ASP.net MVC comes with, but this just makes life easier if you are looking to add HTML5 functionality to your site.

I'm working on a few sites for professional photographers who want to be able to update on their own. I'm looking for a simple CMS solution that has very basic functionality as a gallery and is easy for them to work with. My main concern is with ordering images--I'd like for them to be able to drag their thumbnails around and lock the order. I suspect there is an existing solution out there and am looking for recommendations. I've seen something like this driven by Flash for Flash sites, but I don't know the name of it. I'm looking for something that is similar, but not Flash.
