What is the Android equivalent to iOS / iPhone's UICatalog sample app? - iphone

I'm looking for an app that demos all of Android UI elements. Similar to the following:
http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#samplecode/UICatalog/Introduction/Intro.html
Any ideas?

If you are asking for Api demos, follow this link
http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/index.html
And you can find Api Demos application in your android emulator too.
And the source code to them are shipped with the platforms itself. You can see the source in the
android sdk folder-> Platforms->Android x.x->Samples

Web SDK - Doesn't work on iPhone

Aviary HTML5 Web SDK works fine for iOS laptop, Android phones, Windows laptops, but not iPhone.
Tested with iPhone safari browser and iPhone chrome browser.
Aviary feather loads, then "loading-spinner" icon keeps on spinning.
Is this a bug, or is mobile iOS not supported?
The Creative SDK for Web does not currently support phone-sized mobile devices, as noted in the Getting Started guide for Web:
For handheld use we generally recommend our native SDKs (iOS, and Android), which have a UI optimized for smaller screens and performance tuned to the native device.
As one possible alternative, as of last week, there are PhoneGap plugins (compatible with PhoneGap, Cordova, and Ionic) that are available for the Creative SDK.
See the following blog posts to read more about the Creative SDK PhoneGap plugins:

The relevant plugin and template repos, with instructions and API guides, are available on GitHub:

Sound not working on cocos2D JS v.3 + IntelXDK + Cordova

I have a problem with the audio that is not working on Android or an emulator. But it is working on web apps. I have searched in Google but i can't find the solution.
Why does cc.audioEngine is not working while using Intel XDK ?
Instead using library of JS, you can build your own plugin of cordova to record / play audio on your android. Or search existing cordova plugin on github.
It's not that the XDK is "not working" it's that the webview and/or webview requirements don't meet the requirements of your cc.audioEngine library. I'm no expert on cc.audioEngine, but it appears to require Web Audio. That is not supported in the standard webview that you find in the typical Android device. This is why we provide the Crosswalk for Android build option. It includes the modern HTML5 features and APIs you take for granted in your desktop browser.
Try building with Crosswalk and debugging with the Debug tab. Both of those use the Crosswalk webview.

IPHONE api demo

Android has a API demonstation you can install directly onto a Android device and see how the widget, buttons and all the other toys work. Its great to see whats available. I need the same thing for IPHONE but i cant find it under a search engine query. Can anyone point me to where it is?
BTW: I found the link to the android API demo on this site i cant find the link but the apk application was titled "API demos" for android and i think it was from the Android developer site.
There's plenty of sample code at http://developer.apple.com/, section “Sample Code”.
You may want to take a look at UICatalog, this is what you're looking for.
There is no “God App” which includes everything though.

Questions on Cross platform mobile app development

I have the following queries on using phonegap / Titanium appcelarator for our cross platform mobile development
Currently we want to develop iPhone compatible and android compatible app with single source code using the cross platform mobile SDKs
Can this phoneGap or Titanium appcelarator works with single source code on both the iPhone and Android platforms?
also is there any other platform works as such?
And how these application will be relased with Appstore / Android market place since they have single code base ( source code ).
Any helps would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried out Sencha Touch with PhoneGap and also Titanium.
Sencha touch is pretty easy as it is based on javascript and can be used with android and iphone. The app created with Sencha touch can later be wrapped inside phone gap and submitted to the appstore.
Titanium again uses javascript but they do some processing on it. So the app is native.
They do have some common api's that can be used for both iphone and android. But for some advanced features they have 2 seperate sets of api's for both android and iphone.
So both have some differences. And they are both acceptable in Appstore and android market place.
I have not tried Titanium, but one of my friends is using Corona. He said its support Android and iPhone, and easily port over. You will need at least, adjust the image size, AFAIK, the image size for iphone and androids(various size) are different.
Corona: Write once, build to both iOS and Android.
corona concentrates on games. it uses lua. if you want to build a cross platform application you should first design your application cross platform. android and ios are different os with different style guides.
i have experiences with titanium and it worked fine. but i experienced that a cross platform design is important since the most time of building the app was used for programming the user interface. so invest time in building a good mvc design and ui. after that it worked out easily.
Find answers for you question below.
Can this phoneGap or Titanium appcelarator works with single source code on both the iPhone and Android platforms?
Yes It can definitely work with single code base. in addition to this you can develop universal App that can run in tablet and handheld from single code base
(NOTE: however on some point you have to differentiate between iOS and Android as some of the functionalities are specific to iOS or Android System. Titanium provide constants to check between iOS and android. It also provides constants to differentiate between Tablet and Handheld devices)
also is there any other platform works as such?
Other than Android and iOS titanium provides support for blackberry and mobile web platforms also.
And how these application will be relased with Appstore / Android market place since they have single code base ( source code ).
You can build App for required platform from titanium it self.

is there an iUI for the Android

Im developing for both iPhone and Android. For iPhone im using iUI to show what the user interface would look like from a browser. Does anyone know if there is a similar javascript/css library which would allow me to mock up the Android interface?
I think you can just use iUI. This guy has an Android theme for iUI - go to Theme Switcher and select Android to see what it looks like.
Not sure what the license is on the css. You should probably ask him.

Hi! Good choice :)
The Android theme for iUI is not perfect to me but you can use it at its current state.
This theme is now part of the iUI official source tree so feel free to grab it using Hg on the Google code project page. Since it's now part of iUI, it's released under New BSD license.

Have fun :)
Im actually using that to do the
development on the phones themselves
but need an admin page on an ordinary
web site that can simulate what the
controls would look like on android
and iphone.
Then you should also dynamically replace all form elements with custom designed divs, for both iPhone and Android.

Yeah, there is no Android version, per se - but iUI works just fine. I use it for web-based apps on both Android and iPhone all the time.
jQTouch is also a good solution, but it's considerably less attractive on Android, simply because the page transitions are all geared toward iPhone.
I noticed that the default phonegap (now cordova) app looks alot like an android app. If you want some quick and dirty try that maybe.

The code associated with this book has the equivalent to iui, more or less:
