I am new to android developement.i had created one page in jquery using html and css and i want to add it to the android activity but i am unable to do it,can anyone please provide me proper code for it?
If you're talking about how to make a hybrid app (using HTML/CSS/Javascript to make an application but still have native Android functionality) I would take a look into Phonegap. Just follow the directions and it lets you upload HTML/CSS and your AndroidActivity simply has to open it. Hope this helps.
I've been using my iphone to surf the internet a couple of times, and I've noticed that some websites had some plugins on their site, I've been trying to find these for my own website but couldn't find them.
The plugin I'm interested in is kind of a 'Coverflow' effect,
it's completely based on the touch screen, and looked about the same on every site I've seen it on. that's why I'm assuming it's a.. built in plugin or something like that.
I've also noticed that these sites have an iphone styled toolbar and menus, well I'd be grateful if you could help me find that plugin,
Would also be nice if you could explain about it a little or show me more plugins that are available out there for the iPhone's safari
I don't know about any plugin in Mobile Safari, but you can use some Frameworks to build apps with touch-events. For example:
http://jqtouch.com/
http://www.sencha.com/products/touch/
These frameworks often offer much features, which you can use to let your web app look like a normal iPhone-App.
I am new to Phonegap to develop native Applications. I cant see any jQuery files under WWW folder. Why should i download it?
Is it possible to bring UITabBar, UITableView everything through Phonegap and javascript without jQuery? What is senchaTouch, what is the purpose of it? Anybody can give clear direction?
jQuery is not required to make apps with PhoneGap. However, if you would like to, you can use jQuery in your apps if you wish (jQuery just uses Javascript itself).
UITabBar and UITableView are native iOS controls. PhoneGap does not provide a way for you to use those at the moment. But if you take a look at the PhoneGap roadmap, you will see a bullet point marked "Native Controls" - so don't give up hope!
I'd like to have a mobile interface for my Grails app, and am wondering how to go about it, namely how to create the UI.
Google search quickly revealed iUI and the iUI Grails plugin. Both don't seem to be maintained any longer, last releases being in 2009. Despite their version numbers, are they in a usable state?
Are there any alternatives? I remember seeing another plugin for this, but now I cannot find it.
Right now, all we have are iphone clients. In the long run, does a web-app benefit from a vendor-neutral interface, or is it more prudent to create an interface per platform?
I can suggest that you look at Mobl-lang, JQuery Mobile or PhoneGap as your frontend and let your Grails app deliver data to the frontend as JSON
There is grails plugin for iphone like layout http://www.grails.org/plugin/iwebkit.
Here is the reference to stack-overflow ticket which discusses the same issue.
iWebkit vs. JQTouch vs. iUI
I've been using JQuery draggable/droppables in my application from last 1 year. Now, the application needs to be supported over iPad and iPhones.
Known, above JQuery won't support drag/drop over iPads...
I'm looking for a some JQuery plugin or so which I can connect to my existing JQuery codes for drag/drop over iPad.
After googling, I found some alternate ways like, JQTouch, jquerymobile etc.. But, it looks I would then need to do massive changes (or, write a complete drag/drop things from scratch) in my application :(
My application is very heavy and hence looking for some quick/easy way to connect my existing JQuery solution into iPad touch events etc....
Please help
Thanks in advance
This project will allow you to use jQuery UI on the iPad:
http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui-for-ipad-and-iphone/
https://github.com/furf/jquery-ui-touch-punch
this will work with draggable.. dont even need to change your code when using draggable!
