I am trying to add a facebook feed to a website and for some reason it does not show any activity.
This is the page: gmphomes.com.au/about-us.html
And this is the facebook page that has the activity: facebook.com/pages/GMP-Homes/257003974317783
I have gone into the facebook account, copied over the script from the Social Media section and pasted it into the page.
But when I look at the page gmphomes.com.au/about-us.html it says no activity to display.
Can anyone suggest where we have gone wrong.
I would have though that this would have been an easy thing to do.
Cheers
Malcolm

The activity feed is to display activity to Facebook on your website, such as when people like or share one of your pages. If you want to display activity from your Facebook fan page wall you need a different plugin, maybe the like box http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/

If you can't display posts from your Facebook page then it's most likely because you have restrictions (either age or location) on the page. You can remove any restrictions by going to your page settings in Facebook and making sure that the page isn't restricted to a certain country or age range. Once you've removed the restrictions then check out the Custom Facebook Feed plugin.

You have no activity on your wall for it to report.
Please read what an activity feed does here
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/activity/
Perhaps you are looking for something instead to display your wall posts?

You can use neosmart STREAM. It's a Social Media Plugin to add Facebook and Twitter walls to a website. neosmart STREAM lite is free and can be downloaded here: https://neosmart-stream.de

Ability to tag friends in a facebook native share dialogue

I am using the Facebook iOS SDK 3.1 in my latest, and I'm using the native share dialogue from FBNativeDialogue.
It has a "friends" button in the corner, which I always throught was to tag friends (just like the location button tags the location), but I realised that this is privacy settings for the post.
Therefor, Im still confounded how you can tag friends in a post. Nothing seems to happend when i type # followed by my friends names, is this not implemented yet ? And does anyone know of clever way to implement this ?
What the customer wants is the similar to the "Who are you with?" button as shown here:
I just don't think this is possible, considering the current Facebook SDK (3.5.1) documentation -- https://developers.facebook.com/docs/howtos/ios-6/#nativepostcontroller. It states:
iOS 6 includes a native Share Sheet that lets users post status updates, photos, links, and locations to Facebook and includes support for setting the audience for the post and tagging the post with a location.
Even when you post something on Facebook from iOS' Notification Center, it only allows you to share the information mentioned above, without tagging friends.
Instead, you could use the Facebook views, as they do here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/tutorials/ios-sdk-tutorial/show-friends/. But if you have to use the Native Dialogs, I can't see a way. If you get it to work, please let us know the solution.

How do I set up Facebook comments on my website?

I have tried for a month to set up Facebook comments on my site. I want the comment box on my post pages. Also, I want the social buttons which seem to be there sometimes. What file do I place the JavaScript SDK code on, in my PHP or CSS (or is it pasted into each post page)? Then do I cut and past the plugin code into each page I want it to be available, or just in one theme file? I'm lost in this sense and no one seems to be able to give me an answer.
All of the information you will need is on the Facebook developer page! If you are using Wordpress you may easily implement Facebook comments by installing the official Facebook plugin.

We have a Facebook App which is launching tomorrow at 9am. The App Profile Page is here: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=305816312768314
There's a banner on it which says these pages are deprecated, and I should migrate. I would love to. However, there's no link that I can find which will allow us to migrate, either on that page or in the App's settings.
We have a page which meets the requirements (same name, and is a Product/App category) here: http://www.facebook.com/CameraAwesome
When our App publishes to FB (it's a Camera app), and the resulting photo says "via Camera Awesome" the 'Camera Awesome' link that FB is generating still links to the deprecated App Profile Page: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150842254209778&set=a.10150842250419778.510347.525564777&type=1&theater
Already read and tried:
https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2012/02/01/how-to--migrate-your-app-profile-page/
http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/611/
http://www.hyperarts.com/blog/how-to-migrate-your-app-profile-page-to-a-facebook-page/
Would love to know how we can properly get this fixed so that FB is linking to the App Page rather than the deprecated App Profile Page.
Any ideas?
Your official Facebook Page may not be getting all the fans it deserves because users are accidentally Liking unofficial duplicate versions of your Page you’ve created. These missing fans cost you news feed impressions and clicks and ad targeting opportunities, or require you to waste time managing multiple duplicate Pages. Fortunately, Facebook now offers the “Merge duplicate pages” tool to allow you to roll fans from duplicate versions of Pages into your official Page.
Instructions for Merging Duplicate Pages
Go to your Page and click “Edit Page”, then click the “Resources” tab, and then select “Merge duplicate pages”. You’ll then see a list of any duplicate Pages that are eligible to be rolled into your Page. [Update: We've determined that currently, duplicate Pages must be under your control to be eligible for a merge. Those looking to gain control of community Pages or unofficial fan-controlled Pages that represent the same thing as their official Page should use the "Is this your business?" link or "Report: duplicate" link beneath the duplicate Page's profile picture.]
To qualify, you must be an admin of the duplicate Page, and it must have an identical name to the official Page. If you don’t see any eligible Pages, check back in a few weeks as Facebook may expand eligibility to similar but not identical Pages.
Reporting Non-Identical Duplicate Pages
The merge tool only works for Pages you control with exactly the same name as the official Page. Therefore, you may not find the duplicates you were hoping to merge with in the tool. Admins have two sensible options in this situation:
Report the Pages as Duplicates
Wait and hope that Facebook will allow non-identical duplicate Pages or those not under your control to be merged in the future.
Note: This merge pages tool is currently working erratically. It may or may not show up for you when it should even if the pages are both biz pages and in the same category and have an exact name match. Unfortunately this is a FB problem and I encourage you to contact them about the bug in their merge pages tool. If it is present for you it works well, if it’s not present you may be out of luck

Suggestions on adding a comments section(not feedback) to my iPhone app?

My app is about sharing content and i want to give users the ability to share their comments about the content in the app... not a review or feedback to me but for sharing with other users.
I'm not sure on the exact word for it but I mean something like a talkback or a wallpost or a response like there is an option leave a comment here in stack overflow.
Anyway my question is if anyone knows of a way to do that?
I thought about using the Facebook graph api but never seen something like this before.
Thanks
UPDATE
found a great blog about disqus platform that shows how to add a comment section to an app using the disqus platform
thanks to superjessi for the idea..
You may want to look into the Disqus API. They're widely used for a commenting system and don't require users to make a new account, Disqus accounts work anywhere Disqus is used. I have seen other apps use it, and it seems to work beautifully.
What prevents you from storing those comments in your own database? Then you just have to design a standard UIView to enter the comments and show the comments in a WebView or an UIView.

Can Facebook app make a "question post" and then use the data from the answers to make analysis?

Facebook has question posts where you ask a question and provide a few options for people to select per their suitability. I want to know if a facebook app can create question posts and then use data from the answers to make analysis. Lets say there is an app and user ABC interacts with it, the app helps user ABC spit out a question to user ABC's social circle; then the app displays graphs of how people answered that question. Is this possible?
As of today, Facebook Questions isn't available through their API or exposed via their FQL tables. You should be able to get this information once they expose it to either of these two. If you can't wait, you could write your own app that takes the Facebook friends to a link to answer the question but it won't work as smoothly as their native Facebook questions. You can suggest that they add this ability here.
They just added the ability to post questions (read has been available for a while)
