My Facebook app not appears in facebook search result - facebook

I've created a new facebook application at developer.facebook.com with following details:
Canvas Page: http://apps.facebook.com/158158040982233
My application has 200MAU.
However, this app is not appearing in search results, if i am trying to search in under search textbox at facebook, what can be the reason?
Please guide me,
Thanks, Baris.

Wait for some time , even i have faced same problem. I think it will take some time to reflect.
And make sure that your "sandbox mode" should be disabled.

It could be missing for a number of reasons, for example, is the Social Discovery option for your app enabled? Does it have a App Fan Page? Is Sandbox Mode enabled?
Having a App Fan Page will increase the changes of you App appearing in Search. Using FBML will also cause your app to not appear in search results. Sandbox mode will mean user's won't see you app in search results either.

Apps are now automatically indexed when they reach 10 MAU. It is no longer necessary to manually "Submit to Search" as per blog on Facebook

Misconfigured: App Sorry, That Helps hasn't been approved for display in App Center

I have a simple Facebook App that I use to allow users of my website to login with Facebook. Recently I added a basic custom story via the open graph API, e.g.
Nick plays a mixtape via anexample.com
The custom story appears in my stream as expected, however when I click the anexample.com link on the story I get the following error and cannot access the actual Facebook App page:
Sorry, the details for anexample.com cannot be displayed because the app is
misconfigured.
What is strange, is that the application redirects at
https://www.facebook.com/games/?app_id=AN_APPLICATION_ID
despite the fact that the app is not registered as a game.
Has anyone else faced this behaviour?
Thanks,
On tapping on the App link, you could navigate it in one of the two possible ways
Any FB page: Add the page in Advanced settings of your App.
A website: Add a web platform

Facebook аpp approval for social plugin

I want to get approval for my app id only for the like and share buttons of facebook but it seems that it got more complicated then before.
When I go to my app then javascript sdk to create the code of javascript for my site it shows
This app is in Development Mode and not available publicly.
Modo público can be enabled in the App Dashboard.
So then I go to the app dashboard and it is asking a lot of information I don't have because it's only to have the like button in my site I don't want to read more likes of users.
So anyone can help me to find the right way to do this.
The only thing you should have to fill in to make the app public is the Contact Email on the main Settings page:
(source: infused.org)
Found this thread whilst having the same problem. In addition to infused's post, you have to go to "status and review" and turn "Do you want to make this app and all its live features available to the general public?" to Yes.
Furthermore, I noticed that removing the app id (as per the code you get if you are not logged in and go to the plugin generator page), then the code does not work at all.
Also, if the app is not set as live, then it will still sometimes work - just to make things harder to debug.

Facebook Apps in the Search

I'm developing a website that required a Facebook Fan page, an app for sharing and authorizing and another app as a tab app for the page.
Now I'm facing a problem that when one searches the Facebook, all these three instances appears in the search, and the bad thing is that the Official Fan Page is third in the results :(
I wonder if there's any way to remove these apps from search results without removing them as I'd like to save all the likes these apps have received?
Thanks!
There is no way to remove apps from search, but as per https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/611/ the app profile pages are deprecated and will be removed in a few months
Ensure that social discovery is disabled (Settings > Advanced > Social Discovery).
Edit: Since this doesn't work (see #Igy's comment), I would try to merge these apps into one.

Problems registering Facebook App

I am writing a website using which a user would be able to change his status on facebook. Now for this, I have to register my website on facebook. When I go to register my website on Facebook, there are various options like 'MobileApp', 'FacebookApp', 'Website' etc. Can anyone please suggest which one of these is a correct option for me. An article explaining me the same would be useful. Thanks
Saurabh
What sort of app do you want to build? Those options are for configuring the different places your app will be accessed by users.
It sounds from your description that you probably want 'Website' since you said you're building a website.
You have to Create a New App from developers.facebook.com .
Then you go Settings > Basic and select App on Facebook from bottom section.
Enter your "return url" and its done.

App Profile Page not showing up in search

I have an issue where my app shows up in the searches, but it links directly to the app itself.
I have no idea how to link the App Profile page, there just seems to be no flow given users may never even see it.
How do I get the app page to load first?
The app is http://apps.facebook.com/spqtest
The profile page is at http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=124588877600328
Search results for an app will go to the App canvas page if there's one specified. There isn't an option to change how this works.
[edit] apologies, i was incorrect earlier, it seems that it only goes to the app's own canvas page if you already use the app, otherwise it goes to the information page for the app [/edit]
Now there is a bug and the search result goes to the app directly even if you haven't used the app before. I created a bug for this you can subscribe.
