Misconfigured: App Sorry, That Helps hasn't been approved for display in App Center - facebook

I have a simple Facebook App that I use to allow users of my website to login with Facebook. Recently I added a basic custom story via the open graph API, e.g.
Nick plays a mixtape via anexample.com
The custom story appears in my stream as expected, however when I click the anexample.com link on the story I get the following error and cannot access the actual Facebook App page:
Sorry, the details for anexample.com cannot be displayed because the app is
misconfigured.
What is strange, is that the application redirects at
https://www.facebook.com/games/?app_id=AN_APPLICATION_ID
despite the fact that the app is not registered as a game.
Has anyone else faced this behaviour?
Thanks,

On tapping on the App link, you could navigate it in one of the two possible ways
Any FB page: Add the page in Advanced settings of your App.
A website: Add a web platform

Deep linking not working from the Facebook timeline

I am trying to enable deep linking from custom open graph stories. I have gone through the instructions listed
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/ios/app-links
Deep linking works fine when I click from the Facebook timeline to the actual story post page and then click the object button. If I click the object button on the timeline itself, the url is NOT handled and instead is open directly in the Facebook webview.
This may be because I don't have a web platform added on my App Dashboard.
Facebook documentation reads
Deep linking in Open Graph stories If you're deep linking from an Open
Graph story published from your app, you will need to go through one
more step.
...
If you HAVEN'T already added a website for this app, in the App
Dashboard, inside your app's settings, click on ''Add platform'', and
select ''Website''. Then in any of the fields (either ''Site URL'' or
''Mobile site URL''), fill in your subdomain. It doesn't matter if you
don't have a website that you're integrating with Facebook, this will
register this subdomain for use with your native app.
However, when I try to add a the url in app settings (the screenshots match those in the documentation), my open graph submission is rejected by Facebook with the note:
Your app does not qualify for the submitted platform. In the app
settings tab, please remove platforms without Facebook integration.
Canvas or page tab apps cannot redirect users, and websites must
properly integrate Facebook login.
Anybody been through this before and can lend some guidance? I am very much confused by the documentation.
The deep-linking started working on its own about a week later without any changes on my part.

Smart App Banner in Facebook

When a user opens a link in their Facebook iPhone app to our page, how do you get the Smart App Banner to show at the top of the page? It doesn't show I'm assuming because the Apple Dev site says Smart App Banners don't show up in frames. Is there a way around this? Do I have to build my own custom banner?
This is also an issue in Twitter. Our app shares links to FB and Twitter back to our site. I'm trying to figure out how to make the Smart App Banner to show up whether viewing in iPhone Safari, Facebook, or Twitter.
Smart App Banners require a meta tag in the header of the page. They cannot be used in frames. So without access to the source code of Facebook and Twitter, this isn't possible.
http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariWebContent/PromotingAppswithAppBanners/PromotingAppswithAppBanners.html
Yes, you will have to build your own smart banner or use someones work. I had the same problem and would like the visitors to our website to find our app using a "smart banner".
I have adapted this great script: https://github.com/ijason
Had to make a few changes to link to the app in App Store instead of the artist e.g. changed the code artistViewUrl to trackViewUrl = json.results[0].trackViewUrl to link directly to the app instead of the developer in my case.
It's implemented here and has been tested it in Messenger, Twitter and the native Facebook app. The usual smart banner is shown in Safari. The other will appear in other browsers and when using frames.

So far it has given the result I was aiming for even though Facebook steals the best spot in the Messenger app. Hope it helps.

How can I make Facebook App page visible on mobile?

On my client's Fanpage, a third party app is running for a contest. How can I make this FB contest page available on mobile? I read the answer here:
http://facebook.stackoverflow.com/a/10833366/461119
also
Facebook SDK : Page Tab App returns not found in mobile Facebook App
I do not understand it clearly.
Is the query parameter ?ref-ts which we have to add at the end of URL?
What does it mean by "It helps in the browser but not the app itself."?
Will it help to see the App on mobile and click on it to go to the contest page on FB?
Also, I found this answer:
Works as advertised! Thank you. I was getting 404, but simply adding
ref=ts in my redirect URLs (I force users to use my app as a page tab)
fixed it! – Guillaume Boudreau
under the first link above but what is forcing users to use app as a page tab?
How can I set App as a page tab?
little bit confused.
I searched the web vigorously but did not get any clear explanation.
My observations about this issue:
Seems like it's an ANDROID issue, Work OK on iPhone's
Work with the link redirection services like Bit.ly (where the bit.ly link included the ref=ts)
I sent an email to Facebook for ANDROID developers.
Hi,
my iPhone's user colleagues can open links to page tab app with ref=ts
parameters but on Android we can't ;-(
The only way we've been able to do it is when the link to the app is
under a bit.ly redirection link
The problem is only when the links are open through the Facebook App.
Thanks

You can access to your app using the next link https://apps.facebook.com/YOUR-APP-ID
In this way, you can access from a desktop or a mobile with no problem.

Tab App (FB) wont show on Facebook iPhone App

I created a facebook and placed it on my facebook brand page, I also created a post on the wall of that page with the link to the app.
all works well until people started calling me saying that when accessing using FB iPhone app it will redirect to an error page "the page your requested was not found"
I tried adding a link (same page) to the "Mobile Web" link of my app in the FB Developer App.
it still doesn't work..
I need people accessing the app page to get some content.. I know it is possible but cant find how..
thanks for your help
Tabs aren't supported via the app or mobile site. Best you could do is add the query parameter "ref=ts" to prevent the page from going switching to mobile. It helps in the browser but not the app itself.
So add ?ref=ts to the end of your app url and at least mobile users can see it in their browser.

ui.methods permissions.request in share url

Earlier today I noticed a friend shared a Viddy video which made me curious. When I clicked on the share link I immediately got an authorization request dialog with custom text on the "next/login" button (Watch the movie). The URL for this share which triggered the behavior was this:
http://www.facebook.com/
connect/
uiserver.php?
app_id=125119214225766
method=permissions.request
redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.viddy.com%2Fvideo%2F2f44f934-bc2f-419f-b462-c46f261744ee
response_type=code
display=async
perms=email%2Cpublish_actions
auth_referral=1
fb_private_mode_enc=ASJbi0_rc8L9GhOWGzXF1eZQgqGW6WhIquDadvKiRi8uZRozkFn937vhtfsR_Krg8iM
I've looked around trying to find this feature documented. How am I suppose to generate such share URLs? I found some documentation on fbdevwiki.com, but that does not cover most of the arguments. If anyone could guide me to some documents I'd be very grateful.
That's an app using Authenticated Referrals so that users are prompted to grant permission directly on Facebook's chrome instead of landing on your app unauthenticated, and then bounced to an auth dialog and back to the app again.
The 'watch video' text in the auth dialog is because this app is publishing 'watch' actions in the Open Graph API
{edit} it appears the 'watch video' link is only shown for preselected partners and isn't available for all video apps
{/edit}
The generated url you see is generated by the app, you can achieve this by creating your own app and giving it the permission.
You can start by going to Facebook Developer
