This is my first thread so be easy on me :) . For all problems i had i found a solution here at stackoverflow, but this one i can' figure out.
So, I wanted to make like button at my website (not facebook page, but actual website) , so when an user likes some URL, it appears in his timeline (website is with articles, so every article has its URL) . Mosh important, i wanted that the like would be in form " 'someone' liked 'something' ON 'SOME_PAGE'" . This "on some page" is the wanted part actually. After some research i found out that i need open graph protocol and facebook app to make that happen. So i followed this tutorial http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ .
Right now, when i like something on my webiste, it appears in my timeline like it should, in form :" name surname liked "something" on "some_facebook_app/webpage" , so its all ok if I make the like, but when someone else likes if (person that is not admin for this app) , it appears as regular link, actually it gets rendered with open graph protocol as in , it shows title, description and picture, but it doesnt connect to my facebook app, there is no "on facebookapp" part. Also, when i come from my friends facebook account to my timeline, likes i made on this particular website are not visible. I dont know is that the problem because i cant find anywhere anything about this (i subscribed app details, i dont know if that is the problem...) . Also, only my face show up in likes, even when i know for sure that my friends liked that particular link too, but I assume that this is problem that is associated with the previous one (because like is not "connected" to facebook app) .
I'm new in this facebook developer stuff, and this facebook app is a big black hole for me...
I found out what it was. I didnt know what sandbox mode meant, so after disabling it, app is now visible to everyone. Nobody actually helped me here, but thanks anyway :) .

I have started to experience a really strange problem with Facebook link scraping/caching which seems random in nature.
On brand new posts when I go to check: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ with my new URL I get a message saying 'Cannot scrape: URL blocked'
We have literally been sharing URL's to Facebook for YEARS with no problem whatsoever. All open graph tags are present and working fine.
What is really weird is if I just manually press the 'scrape again' button it grabs all the bits properly and says everything is fine. It's always just the first attempt.
I have also tried manually calling the scrap API instead of letting Facebook do it when someone shares the URL for the first time and still sometimes (not always) it returns empty (just 'id' and 'url' returned) indicating the URL was blocked.
What's going on here it's driving me mad? We are nowhere near our API limits if maybe that was the issue...
Why would it say blocked first go on the debug page then literally 2 seconds later you press 'scrape again' and it works fine.
Just to note sometimes when it says blocked it still shows maybe the image in the link preview but no title or description. It's like it's grabbed some tags but then given up. Very strange...
I have checked our access logs and I can see 'Facebot' accessing our site fine.
Hope someone can help, I am really hoping this is some weird Facebook bug as I can't see any change in our code base that would effect this.
Facebook does not return anything helpful when this happens even with the API. I have no way in contacting Facebook direct either. If we are somehow getting blocked I would love to know why and fix that issue. But it's impossible to debug at the moment.
Just to note I have 3 sites all running the same code base (WordPress environment). They are all experiencing this issue. All been running fine for many years.
Cheers
This was to do with rate limiting that was not visible in the Facebook APP dashboard. Helpful...

Solution for your problem: You can use Facebook image button after adding link on Facebook news feed, like shown in iamge
second thing upload image on othe site and give the image path to your website and then put it on your news feed, you can get definitely positive result using this two methods.

thanks hope this two will work for your problem
I am experiencing a weird behavior of Like Box Social Plugin.
When I go to https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like-box/
and enter my facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/LetUgo.cz
it shows doubled persons in the list (i.e. their face photos).
In other words, almost every person who has liked my page is listed twice.
The number of persons (X people like...) is also incorrect.
When I log out of facebook and show the plugin again, it is correct.
So the wrong behaviour happens only when I am logged into facebook.
The same problem happens to the others who like the page.
When I go to this facebook page, everything is correct. So this problem relates to facebook like box social plugin only.
Does anybody have a clue?
Cheers
I need to create a "contest" page where user will be asked to submit picture.
After that, they should be able to share their picture on FB, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, etc for other people to come and vote.
I want the page to be displayed as a jQuery gallery and whenever people select a thumbnail, the bigger picture open with the associated vote and "share" button.
When a user share an image, I want a specific TITLE & URL associated with that particular image... something like "http://www.mysite.com/contest.html#picture1"... or "http://www.mysite.com/contest.html#picture2"
How is this possible if I only have one page?
I wouldn't have problem if I could use the old "facebook.com/sharer.php" with parameters... but it seems that the Open Graph Protocol is "overiding" the sharer.php parameters....
Works fine with Twitter and Pinterest... I might have the same problem with Google+.
Excuse my bad english, thanks!
Well, set up a (“dummy”) page for each picture, and fill it with the appropriate OG tags … and have your users like that. And then put a JS redirect into that page, so that users following the link when it’s shared on Facebook will get to the “real” address you want them to end up at.
(Btw., IMHO this is what happens too often these days when people think doing everything client-side and client-side only is so “fancy” and that a “good” and “modern” site requires all that AJAX/one-page-only nonsense instead of a real good and working URL structure, and then are not able to handle all that this implies properly …)
Im using Facebook's like button plugin on my own website product pages, also using opengraph tags
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
Everything seems to work fine, the problem is when people 'like' a product, the comment box shows up but if they leave it empty only single line is posted on their feed like:
Jon Doe has liked "title here".
But when they write that comment when they click Like or even post the the link manually all the image, text, description information is correctly displayed.
Anyone knows how to fix this?
Well, that’s the basic difference between a like and a share. Since Facebook has merged these to functionalities into one social plugin, it’s up to the user which action he takes.
The old share button has been deprecated, so not much use in implementing it now, because even if it’s still possible(?) it will stop working eventually.
If you want shares instead of likes, your one alternative IMHO is implementing the Feed Dialog on your site, triggered by a click on a button of you own making.
I'm trying to add a facebook "like" button to my page, and it is appearing just fine. My problem is that once it is clicked by a user, it says "Like NUMBER" then resets as if the request was canceled or something.
The weird thing is that if I try to like a page using my facebook account it works, but I tried letting a friend like some content and this behavior appeared.
I created a facebook app, specified the site url with a trailing slash, and site domain. I used the app ID with FB.init, and with the open graph tags. I can't figure what I'm doing wrong here. Any help would be appreciated.

First, for the count to work correctly, Facebook needs to have access to the page (in other words a public page). Check your URL in the linter tool (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug) to ensure it can been seen by Facebook.
Secondly, ensure your og: tags are correctly setup. Once again, you can use the linter tool to do that.
Facebook like buttons will show this behavior until they have been scraped by Facebook. That scraping (facebook like docs) will occur every 24 hours, when an admin clicks the like button or the url is put in the url debugger/linter. From what I can tell doing that will solve the problem for that specific link, but not any others you may have on your site.
I don't know of a generic solution for dynamically generated pages unfortunately.
