For some time now, I have had troubles getting Google Analytics to work properly on my generated Github Pages. I've used the default snippet provided by Google but I think that the crawler that is looking for the snippet looks in the url victorbjelkholm.github.com instead of victorbjelkholm.github.com/2012-I-Bilder/. However, my default url in the Google Analytics profile is http://victorbjelkholm.github.com/2012-I-Bilder/ so it should be no problem.
Do anyone had a similar experience of adding Google Analytics to sites on Github Pages?
Do anyone have a suggestion on what could solve this so I can get some stats from my site?
The url is http://victorbjelkholm.github.com/2012-I-Bilder/

I went into the Profile Settings of the active profile and changed Default page to index.html. Now my tracking code can be found correctly.

Do you have any filters on the UA-20806824-11 Google Analytics profile that could be filtering out data from Github?
I took a look at your site: the GA code looks good, and I saw tracking data for the page view being sent to the analytics servers.

I have a Facebook page and i want to publish my joomla website articles in this page, that mean after add a new article in my website automatically published in the facebook page, here is my web site, so plz if someone has any idea i will be very appreciative :)
There are a lot of developed plugins and components which will do the job. Check the Joomla Extensions Directory, you will see, that there are commercial and non-commercial solutions that might fit your needs.
This one http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-web/social-share/social-multi-share/18072 comes with auto publish to Facebook and Twitter. I'm using it on my site and it has an auto Facebook page import function in the plugin parameters itself. It has all the configuration options you need.

We're in the process of launching our Magento website. Everything is live now & we've taken down our 'coming soon' page. The problem is our 'coming soon' page is what is showing up in google search & when we add a link to our site on facebook.
Is there a method to change this or do we have to wait for Google to update?
We've submitted a sitemap to google.
Thanks for your help :)
I had the same problem. Just wait for 2 or 3 days and GG is going to update the result with your new website.
If that "coming soon" page was not your site landing page, you can add that URL to robots.txt file. By the way, just wait for a day or two! The sitemap will do the job and soon update their database. Don't forget to try Google Webmaster Tools.
I found a useful article which explains how you can request that Google removes old cached pages for your site from it's search results.

I am unable to create a simple facebook app. It continually says try again later. I have searched the forums, but only see posts about people trying to create the app as a "page", but I am logged in as a "user" on the master account. My account has been active for 7 years and I only have one page.
What do I have to do to get the ability to create an app?
I am simply trying to create the app so that customers can click a like button on our product pages. This is done using a pre-built extension in the Magento E-Commerce platform. All I need is the appID to plug into Magento.
Please help!
I ran into the same problem today. I was trying to create an app for my fan page for this site: http://www.cutepickuplines.info
It looks like it's an issue with Facebook. I figure it will be resolved by the end of the day. I'll report back here when I get it working.
Looks like things are working. If needed clear your browser cache or sign out before trying again.

This morning dynamically generated links to FB pages from our app stopped working. Link to a page like this http://www.facebook.com/pages/125567350861413 used to work just fine, now it requires page name http://www.facebook.com/pages/Daniels-Real-Estate/125567350861413
Why would this be changed? Was there a problem with old pages link format?
We tweaked our code to take into account page name and made it work. But if a user changes the name of a page the link to this page will break, until we refresh the list of pages in our db. We'll write a chron job that will refresh the list of page names for all users using our app multiple times a day, but we'd prefer not having to do that.
Anyone else ran into this issue? What was your workaround (other than the above)?
While this is probably an off-topic question, you can get the page url using the graph api:
http://graph.facebook.com/125567350861413 and looking at the link property. As to why Facebook changed this, you would have to ask them at their developer group or log a bug.

The problem is that AdSense has to crawl your pages to make suitable ads. If I have dynamic content or user-generated content, then AdSense is not suitable. How can I modify my site so that it is accessible to the Adsense crawlers, or should I approach the problem of monetizing my site from another angle?
does your content require a login?
If not then theres no reason Google can't crawl it. Just because its dynamic or user generated doesnt mean google can't see it.
If it doesn't require a login and Google still cant crawl your site, then you have done something wrong and your site is not SEO'd very well in the first place.
As far as other ad networks go, heres a few off the top of my head
Burst Media
ValueClick Media
Casale Media.
Though keep in mind these are usually much harder to join then Adsense.
