How To Promote Google TV Only Application - google-tv

I would like to know after I built an application for Google TV, how can I get the app listed under http://www.google.com/tv/apps.html, or does Google do anything to help promoting Google TV Only Apps? Since it takes a separate effort to design TV friendly UI and Navigation system, what can we do to make it more visible to Google TV users? Right now the Play Store is very messy and unorganized in a way or it might only because the country I am located.

You should contact the Google TV developer advocates. In particular, Les Vogel, or Krispy. In the past they have looked at apps and provided feedback. They have also helped to get interesting apps into the featured section of the Play Store on Google TV.
You might also consider joining the Sony Developer Network, which allows you to upload your app and have them test it on their Google TV devices. They provide a test report which will help to make your app better for the TV experience. If they like your app, they can also add it to their own featured app section of the Play Store on their Google TV devices.
There is a Google TV community on G+ where you can post about your app to get some feedback from users. Do a Google search and you will also find other forums that deal with Google TV and will help to get the word out about your app.
The best marketing tool is to have a web site for you app and provide a blog to tell users about updates and plans you have for the app. You should also create a YouTube video to show your app in action. Create pages on the various social networks so that users can follow your progress.

Nothing, featured apps are either apps for GTV that are very successful or apps that Google has picked. Currently there is no way of doing anything against that. But I guess Google will work on that if they will continue GTV.

AppStore and alternatives for the following app

I got an offer to develop a simple iPhone app that would call a web service with user's credentials. An user would get the list of files that can be downloaded (.pdfs) and could then download the wanted file. Simple enough...
Now, I've had bad experience with publishing on AppStore. Basically, they refused one app because according to them our RSS reader for a online newspaper wasn't in accordance with their guidelines. They said that the application was a simple web aggregator which I won't argue now. Not now :)
So, back to the new app problem :)
I would like to know what are the options for distributing the new app. The client has a web page and wants to give it's visitor this app to get that data from their phones too.
Technically, the app doesn't have to be a native app. It can be a phoneGap solution too since it's quite simple regarding the functionality. Sincerely, I am afraid that there is no way that Apple will allow this app to be uploaded to their store being native, phoneGap...
P.S.
I would also like to know is there a way to distribute an "internal" (not publicly available) iPhone app? For example, a company needs an internal tool for their 500 employees, but can't afford to go through the process of conecting each device and compiling the app for each device individually...
If you want to sell customized apps to companies, you should consider the B2B program.
if you are in an enterprise that wants to deploy apps inside your company, the Enterprise Developer Program is a good choice.
For internal:
100 test devices.
alot of iphones with the distribution profile after the 100 devices
with the enterprise:

Twitter / Facebook integration

I am on a mid way of porting an iPhone application to Windows Phone 7. In that iPhone application it is providing provision for submitting score details through Facebook / Twitter mail etc. So I need to implement the same functionality in WP7, too. How can I implement this functionality in my Windows Phone project?
While searching I found some methods with the help of web browser. But that is not useful in my case. In my app I need to log in through the the designed page and need to update the score status to the social networks through my own view.
Please help me to achieve the functionality in my app. (If anybody has sample apps or links please attach that information, too.)
You can use the ShareStatusTask to post to facebook, twitter msn etc.
ShareStatusTask shareStatusTask = new ShareStatusTask();
shareStatusTask.Status = "My Score: xxxx";
shareStatusTask.Show();
I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, but ScoreLoop provides a free high score system as well as social network integration for Windows Phone games. I'm currently migrating my homegrown scores systems to ScoreLoop, looks good so far.

Possibilities on Google TV emulator

Iam an android developer and wanted to know if someone has already started developing android apps for Google TV on its emulator.
I have read the google's documents on Google TV and I have few of my thoughts revolving around my way . I wanna know which all capabilities does the Google Tv SDK gives us while working with Google TV emulator..
Does Live TV uses Activity or Fragments on top of which the content(TV SHOWS) is displayed ?
Can we control the Live TV feature provided by Google by customizing the Views of Live TV like placing a widget which shows the newly released movies on a timely basis?
Is Live TV only a native app provided by Google and doesn't offer any flexibility wherein we can replace the Live TV app by writing our own app which shows the same content(TV SHOWS) offered by Live TV ? (as we can modify default contacts app in our android mobile devices)
Please address my confusions !!
There is no official way to have live tv participate with your apps.
You can change the channel of the TV using an intent from your app. (And find out about channels using the channel listing content provider.)
There is no supported way to do this.
You can not make any changes in with live tv thought apps. You can only change the programs not everything. If you Google want to change then they do it, because they have all rights of content. Now all the process are digitilaized. Why Google can made changes in it? Reason Firstly they will receive all the programs by channels after that they will upload on own server. After that send the signals to satellites and satellite send these signals to the users.

Does Apple reject "mobile web shell" applications?

I'm not sure how to word this correctly, so I'm going to be a little verbose:
I'm tasked with building an app for my company that will just load a mobile website into a barebones browser with no address bar or anything. So basically the app will be just the same as if the user had navigated there in Safari (sans normal browser controls).
My question is: does Apple reject this sort of app because of it just being a wrapper around a mobile site? I'm totally lost on this, as I've never developed for iOS before and have no idea what kinds of roadblocks i might hit.
Apple may reject your app if all it does is wrap a web site in a UIWebView. You need to have more functionality in your app than just loading a web page.
From the app review guidelines for iOS:
4.2 Minimum Functionality
Your app should include features, content, and UI that elevate it beyond a repackaged website. If your app is not particularly useful, unique, or “app-like,” it doesn’t belong on the App Store. If your App doesn’t provide some sort of lasting entertainment value, it may not be accepted.
You may want to investigate developing your company's app as a mobile web app. There's plenty of information published by Apple (and others) about how to write mobile web apps that function similarly to native iOS apps.
Put some functionality that gives your app look like native application.
Make sure that your description for app is enough for understanding to Apple app tester about you app.
and resend your app to apple store or you can send reply to apple review team about your application.
FWIW a company I worked for put an app through the App Store that was little more than a browser in May 2013.
It probably helped that the website it pointed to had an extremely responsive design, was a media player with play buttons etc. Also played video inline, which you can't do on mobile Safari (because mobile Safari will play the video full screen).
See section 2.12 in App Store Review Guidelines:
Apps that are not very useful, are
simply web sites bundled as apps, or
do not provide any lasting
entertainment value may be rejected

Free *regular* application on iPhone - how to display ads?

What ad networks are available to iPhone developers who want to distribute free regular apps (not web applets) that are ad supported?
Prompted by this story on crappy app making $200/hr.
Here's one:
Pinch Media
I'm making this Community Wiki so anyone can add to this list.
I've seen a Tower Defense game (TapDefense) that makes the user click a link to a paid app in order to save the game. It uses AdMob as its ad distributor.
The Deck prides itself on being a very "high quality" advertising network. I've seen them on a few iPhone apps, but they're apparently picky about who they will allow to run their ads.
