Loading Require.js plugins - plugins

How do you load a require.js plugin?!
I've read all the docs - http://requirejs.org/docs/plugins.html - but unless I've missed it, nowhere does it tell you how to load a plugin. I'm trying to load the "text" one. If I require something like: template: 'text!template.html' Chrome just gives /text!template.html.js 404 (Object Not Found), so presumably the text plugin isn't loading.
I've put it in the same dir as require.js, and tried adding it in my require header, but it doesn't seem to find it.
What have I missed?! I'm using the combined jquery-require.js file, if that is relevant. i.e. http://requirejs.org/docs/download.html#samplejquery

I worked this out. Nothing to do with require.js, schoolboy error with the webserver permissions meant the file wasn't being served. For reference, in the require.config just put text :"PATH_TO_FILE" and it will find it when you reference "text!:...".

TYPO3 extension - f:uri.resource returns wrong path

I'm writing a backend module for my own TYPO3 extension, where I'm wrapping the content into a be.container including a CSS and a JS file:
<f:be.container
includeCssFiles="{0: '{f:uri.resource(path:\'CSS/backend.css\')}'}"
includeJsFiles="{0: '{f:uri.resource(path:\'JS/backend.js\')}'}"
>
<!-- module content -->
</f:be.container>
None of those resources gets included though. When I'm rendering f:uri.resource directly into the HTML, it - no matter which path - resolves to
/typo3/
which makes no sense to me. In my project, /typo3/ is the path where the TYPO3 core is symlinked to, relative to my web path.
I've assured that my resource files are placed in EXT:my_extension/Resources/Public/CSS/backend.css and EXT:my_extension/Resources/Public/JS/backend.js respectively. I had a similiar issue including resources in the frontend, where it would resolve to just a / - in the end I decided to go with inclusion via Typoscript instead. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this for the backend module as well. Any idea how to solve this? Maybe I missed something in the configuration which messes up path resolution for f:uri.resource. Any help would be appreciated.
For a minimal test case, try putting the plain output into your fluid template:
{f:uri.resource(path:'CSS/backend.css')}
If that yields the same result, it seems like the ViewHelper is not aware of the current extension. You can pass it the extension key as argument, see https://docs.typo3.org/other/typo3/view-helper-reference/9.5/en-us/typo3/fluid/latest/Uri/Resource.html.

Umbraco with Windsor Castle error after adding nuPickers plugin

With an existing Umbraco site running fine we added the nuPickers plugin which does not seem to like Castle. In the browser console we are seeing a lot of 404 / 500 errors being generated for the embedded resources within the plugin. (The plugin is a single DLL with css and js files embedded in it.)
The site continues running fine (back and front ends), except for the plugin.
The Event log is showing: "No component for supporting the service nuPickers.EmbeddedResourceController was found"
We have tried route.ignoreroute in our route config, and also adding a handler in web.config, both unsuccessfully, as we do not think the resource requests should be getting to castle?
Any help or pointers gratefully accepted!
Just in case anyone comes across this ticket, we 'solved' this by
Getting all of the embedded resources, (html, js & css - not the classes)
Physically placing them inside the App_plugins folder in the correct structure (as they were being requested),
Renaming the js and css files (by adding the .nu after the file
extension), and,
Adding the following mime types into the web.config
mimeMap fileExtension=".css.nu" mimeType="text/css"
mimeMap fileExtension=".js.nu" mimeType="application/javascript"
Then, everything seems to work - but there MUST be a better solution, surely?

Ember CLI project crashes when I change CSS file. Am I missing something?

I'm pretty new to Ember but have used Ember CLI to create a project and am on my way. Lots to learn but I'm very impressed so far.
Anyway, my understanding is that Ember CLI projects use broccoli's file-watching features to create a "continuous development" environment. I've seen it in action: as I change templates or javascript files, my changes are immediately apparent when I switch back to the browser.
But when I make changes to css files, my app crashes. Console output is below. Note that when I restart the app with ember server, everything works as exepected. So this isn't some CSS syntax error or the like.
So ... this sure seems like a bug to me, but I'm so new around here that I'm wondering if I'm just missing something very basic.
We're not talking SASS files, either. I'm getting this error if I change a single character in a very small /app/styles/app.css - the one generated by ember new. I've also tried moving the style rule to a file called my.css and leaving app.css empty except for this one line: #import 'my.css'; No love.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance,
-Billy B

Update:
Based on the help I've gotten so far (thank you guys) and poking around a bit, I have a theory: because I can edit files in other directories and other editors just fine, I conclude that app/styles is just plain not in the list of "watched" directories. This could be a simple error of omission, but I"m wondering if it isn't deliberate. Wouldn't this directory be one that is processed by Compass and other CSS preprocessors, which might have their own file watching systems or otherwise have problems with watched files? Perhaps the makers of ember-cli have deliberately omitted this directory?
How do I find this out? And what should I do? Head over to the ember-cli project and ask for assistance there? I tried to find where a list of watched directories might be kept, but have so far been unsuccessful.
A workaround for the moment is to alter the index.js in line 246 (according in your error and my error messages) in the sane module and add something like this:
if (!this.dirRegistery[dir]){
console.log('error',' empty/unkown dir',dir);
callback();
return;
}
No idea if this is is valid fix. Somehow this is related to sublime. (Caching, File-lock?)..

GWT - spring security - caching issue

I have a GWT application which is secured by Spring Security. I have a Main.html which serves the application and Login.html for login. For most part everything works fine everytime. But sometimes after restarting my application I can still access Main.html - although most of the widgets on the page are unusable. I can see the Login.html's HTML in the console being printed as exception. On refreshing, it takes me to login page. Has anyone ran into similar issue? Is this some kind of caching issue? How can this be avoided?
It seems that in your case your bootstrap file is beining cached and thus a wrong version of your app is being loaded.
You have to make sure that your bootstrap file (the one which is named nocache) is never cached. See here for more details.
You can check if your bootstrap file is cached by using Firebug and looking at the HTTP requests for your scripts. You can check two things:
If the correct <md5>.cache.html are loaded (compare it to the ones in your gwt output folder).
The response type of your .nocache. file is not 304 or so.
Adding meta tag on top of my Main.html - helped me resolve my issue for now.

symfony/zend integration - blank screen

I need to use ZendAMF on a symfony project and I'm currently working on integrating the two.
I have a frontend app with two modules, one of which is 'gateway' - the AMF gateway. In my frontend app config, I have the following in the configure function:
// load symfony autoloading first
parent::initialize();
// Integrate Zend Framework
require_once('[MY PATH TO ZEND]\Loader.php');
spl_autoload_register(array('Zend_Loader', 'autoload'));
The executeIndex function my the gateway actions.class.php looks like this
// No Layout
$this->setLayout(false);
// Set MIME Type
$this->getResponse()->setContentType('application/x-amf; charset='.sfConfig::get('sf_charset'));
// Disable cause this is a non-html page
sfConfig::set('sf_web_debug', false);
// Create AMF Server
$server = new Zend_Amf_Server();
$server->setClass('MYCLASS');
echo $server->handle();
return sfView::NONE;
Now when I try to visit the url for the gateway module, or even the other module which was working perfectly fine until this attempt, I only see a blank screen, with not even the symfony dev bar loaded. Oddly enough, my symfony logs are not being updated as well, which suggests that Synfony is not even being 'reached'.
So presumably the error has something to do with Zend, but I have no idea how to figure out what the error could be. One thing I do know for sure is that this is not a file path error, because if I change the path in the following line (a part of frontendConfiguration as shown above), I get a Zend_Amf_Server not found error. So the path must be correct. Also if I comment out this very same line, the second module resumes to normality, and my gateway broadcasts a blank x-amf stream.
spl_autoload_register(array('Zend_Loader', 'autoload'));
Does anyone have any tips on how I could attach this problem?
Thanks
P.S. I'm currently running an older version of Zend, which is why I am using Zend_Loader instead of Zend_autoLoader (I think). But I've tried switching to the new lib, but the error still remains. So it's not a version problem as well.
got it...
I was not using
set_include_path()
while loading Zend. It's still odd that it would give such a cryptic error, but this was the missing piece indeed.
