Umbraco with Windsor Castle error after adding nuPickers plugin - plugins

With an existing Umbraco site running fine we added the nuPickers plugin which does not seem to like Castle. In the browser console we are seeing a lot of 404 / 500 errors being generated for the embedded resources within the plugin. (The plugin is a single DLL with css and js files embedded in it.)
The site continues running fine (back and front ends), except for the plugin.
The Event log is showing: "No component for supporting the service nuPickers.EmbeddedResourceController was found"
We have tried route.ignoreroute in our route config, and also adding a handler in web.config, both unsuccessfully, as we do not think the resource requests should be getting to castle?
Any help or pointers gratefully accepted!

Just in case anyone comes across this ticket, we 'solved' this by
Getting all of the embedded resources, (html, js & css - not the classes)
Physically placing them inside the App_plugins folder in the correct structure (as they were being requested),
Renaming the js and css files (by adding the .nu after the file
extension), and,
Adding the following mime types into the web.config
mimeMap fileExtension=".css.nu" mimeType="text/css"
mimeMap fileExtension=".js.nu" mimeType="application/javascript"
Then, everything seems to work - but there MUST be a better solution, surely?

Generated codelab does not work. Files removed from storage.googleapis.com

I have been using codelabs for creating tutorials.
https://github.com/googlecodelabs
I use the claat tool to generate the tutorial from an md file.
Since the past few days I have noticed my codelabs have stopped rendering.
It appears like the css and js files which were served through storage.googleapis.com are removed. Any idea how to fix this problem?
Tried accessing the css and js files directly
https://storage.googleapis.com/codelab-elements/codelab-elements.css
It gives an error
Anonymous caller does not have storage.objects.get access to the Google Cloud Storage
object. Permission 'storage.objects.get' denied on resource (or it may not exist).
I know this is the problem but dont know how to fix it.
Hi I had the same issues
There is a fix for both the template
https://github.com/googlecodelabs/tools/pull/798/commits/c9e6704bec43413dc972dd17d48df59589d4b2cb#diff-32ca476fba2e5a4abb3a8851cdd88e3f115676a9bce40a587c4d0d3e6a644341
as well a new claat version https://github.com/googlecodelabs/tools/releases/tag/v2.2.5.
In my own claat template I have adjusted the links to all my ressources like ccs and js from /codelab-elements/.. to /claat-public/.. and that fixed the issue.

TYPO3 - Blocked loadin mixed active content in console

On my live site 'mysite.com' I see the following error message in the console:

jquery-1.11.3.min.js:4:24860
I have no clue how it got there and don't remember what I changed. Where do I need to look for and how can I fix this?
I do have a Development Site ... dev.mysite.com ... and for deployment I just move the new files into the live folder.
Edit: I want to fix this problem by loading the files from my live site ... but I don't know from where I'm loading those files.
As those font-files are probably loaded from CSS I assume you already load your CSS from the dev server.
Check this out in the your browser (Network-tab).
You might see it in the HTML source. But the loading also could be initiated by javascript. so you need to check that too for any references to your dev-server.
Then you need to identify the source of this inclusion. If it's in the javascript it's obvious.
The CSS includes can be initiated in multiple places. The most common are in typoscript, so first try: go to the Template Analyzer and look for your dev-server domain. Identify the template and modify it.

GWT - spring security - caching issue

I have a GWT application which is secured by Spring Security. I have a Main.html which serves the application and Login.html for login. For most part everything works fine everytime. But sometimes after restarting my application I can still access Main.html - although most of the widgets on the page are unusable. I can see the Login.html's HTML in the console being printed as exception. On refreshing, it takes me to login page. Has anyone ran into similar issue? Is this some kind of caching issue? How can this be avoided?
It seems that in your case your bootstrap file is beining cached and thus a wrong version of your app is being loaded.
You have to make sure that your bootstrap file (the one which is named nocache) is never cached. See here for more details.
You can check if your bootstrap file is cached by using Firebug and looking at the HTTP requests for your scripts. You can check two things:
If the correct <md5>.cache.html are loaded (compare it to the ones in your gwt output folder).
The response type of your .nocache. file is not 304 or so.
Adding meta tag on top of my Main.html - helped me resolve my issue for now.

Standalone GWT Deployment

So, this is a pretty trivial thing to accomplish apparently, but for some reason it just will not work for me. I created a VERY SIMPLE GWT app. It uses UIBinder just to display a label and a button, no actual processing or handling takes place. I did this to test deploying the app using strictly JS and html that is not hosted by Eclipse and Jetty or whatever.
I compile my app, run it in eclipse, and it works fine. However, when I try to run the html page directly from the WAR directory, it does not work.
Do I need this running on a webserver for it to work? It is just html and js, so I shouldn't? I've been to the GWT site about deploying, and surfed quite a few forums. They seem to always mention the necessity of a server, but it seems like it should not be necessary?
Since it is a pure JavaScript and HTML it should work properly without server. Checkout this link: Compile and run in Production Mode with Eclipse
In your EntryPoint class, in onModuleLoad() there's a RootPanel.get("someDivId") call somewhere. Make sure your html page (=the host page) contains a div with that id.
Also make sure your host page calls the right java script file. It's easy to forget to edit the host page after you renamed your GWT module (see rename-to in your .gwt.xml), as the generated JavaScript file matches your module name.
This will work locally on all browsers except Chrome for security reasons.

symfony/zend integration - blank screen

I need to use ZendAMF on a symfony project and I'm currently working on integrating the two.
I have a frontend app with two modules, one of which is 'gateway' - the AMF gateway. In my frontend app config, I have the following in the configure function:
// load symfony autoloading first
parent::initialize();
// Integrate Zend Framework
require_once('[MY PATH TO ZEND]\Loader.php');
spl_autoload_register(array('Zend_Loader', 'autoload'));
The executeIndex function my the gateway actions.class.php looks like this
// No Layout
$this->setLayout(false);
// Set MIME Type
$this->getResponse()->setContentType('application/x-amf; charset='.sfConfig::get('sf_charset'));
// Disable cause this is a non-html page
sfConfig::set('sf_web_debug', false);
// Create AMF Server
$server = new Zend_Amf_Server();
$server->setClass('MYCLASS');
echo $server->handle();
return sfView::NONE;
Now when I try to visit the url for the gateway module, or even the other module which was working perfectly fine until this attempt, I only see a blank screen, with not even the symfony dev bar loaded. Oddly enough, my symfony logs are not being updated as well, which suggests that Synfony is not even being 'reached'.
So presumably the error has something to do with Zend, but I have no idea how to figure out what the error could be. One thing I do know for sure is that this is not a file path error, because if I change the path in the following line (a part of frontendConfiguration as shown above), I get a Zend_Amf_Server not found error. So the path must be correct. Also if I comment out this very same line, the second module resumes to normality, and my gateway broadcasts a blank x-amf stream.
spl_autoload_register(array('Zend_Loader', 'autoload'));
Does anyone have any tips on how I could attach this problem?
Thanks
P.S. I'm currently running an older version of Zend, which is why I am using Zend_Loader instead of Zend_autoLoader (I think). But I've tried switching to the new lib, but the error still remains. So it's not a version problem as well.
got it...
I was not using
set_include_path()
while loading Zend. It's still odd that it would give such a cryptic error, but this was the missing piece indeed.
