Data.c file generation - matlab

i'm very new to matlab, i'm working on a software which needs the following files as input model.c,model.h,model_data.c for a particular simulink model. I have a model for which i can't generate model_data file using RTW, i have tried to get some information on the files generated by RTW, but i didnt get sufficient info. If there anybody who knows about the RTW please let me know the blocks which are required to generate model_data.c

model_data.c is a conditionally created file (i.e. it is only created if it is needed, which depends on the way the model is set up for code generation).

For others who need help in future.
Open the Configuration Parameters pane. Go to Code Generation -> Optimization and make sure that Default parameter behavior is set to Tunable.

Generate starter code based on new file VSCode

Is there a way to configure some code based on a file extension when created in VS Code? I'm currently working with psioniq file header which has been pretty helpful in generating good header files, but I'm looking to take this a step farther.
When I create a new file, based on a specific file extension, I would like it to generate some starting code that I can configure. For example, I work with Verilog a lot. It would be really cool if Code could generate based on the file name.

Code generates some code (like below) or something else that could be configured based on the filetype:

Anyone have any extensions they know about or resources they can point me to to implement this?
This would be a pretty easy extension to write but an alternative is snippets.
You can create keywords, based on the extensions, that when you type it it'll create all that code for you.

Dymola error message when translating: "unknown internal error in Dymola"

I have problems translating Modelica models with Dymola 2020: When I try to translate the models, the following error message appears:
"unknown internal error in Dymola".
The model was translating and simulating a couple of days ago, and the same model still runs on the computer of other colleagues. I didn't change the compiler in between nor the Dymola version. I've also restarted the computer but the problem persists.
Also, other models are still translating, so not all models are affected by this error.
Does anyone have a clue how to debug this error? Thank you very much for all hints!
The most likely explanation would be some weird setting of some flag.
You can see if you have any odd settings of normal flags by:
Dymola 2020: Edit>Options>General>Flags... Check "Non-default"
Dymola 2020x: Tools>Options>General>Flags... Check "Non-default"
(If it is a non-Boolean setting it is a bit messier.)
That is assuming it is really the same model and there is no difference in any model in the path (including working directory).
Frankly speaking, if you get "unknown internal error in Dymola" you should report it to technical support at Dassault Systèmes (through your reseller), and let them debug it.
It is not your job to debug such errors.
Have you tried to delete the content from the working directory (WD)?
Sometimes there are artifacts, which mess up the compilation of a specific model.
You can check where it is, using the
GUI, File -> Working Directory -> Copy Path and paste it in the Explorer
Command line typing cd, which returns the path to the WD
Then make sure that there are no important files in the WD (usually .mo files) and finally delete the full content of the directory.
Note: You should ensure that the WD is a local path (otherwise performance can take a serious hit). Besides that it is usually a good idea to have the WD separated form the directory where models are stored.

B&R Automation Studio transfer post event

Is there any way to execute a post project transfer event when transferring a project to a PLC?
I want to automatically change the value of a variable using fx the PVI interface every time I do a transfer.
I am not entirely sure what the usecase is for this. However the easiest way for some kind of post transfer script would be to utilize the Runtime Utility Center (RUC).
In the RUC, you can define instruction lists for a B&R PLC with an online connection. This includes instructions for transferring projects and setting values of process variables (PVs).
For transferring the project with RUC, you need to create a RUC package. This can be done under Settings/Export to Runtime Utility Center. You could also do this from the command line. More details in the help under Project management/Project installation/ Performing project installation/Export RUC Guid: cfe34190-f436-4c14-b06d-3a4ca39be7e7
This will create a zip, which you can then use in your RUC. For transfer command there is a wizard which activates when you double click on the command Transfer to target under Project installation The result is a line in the instruction list, which might look like this:
Transfer "C:\path\to\your\zip\project.zip", "InstallMode=Consistent InstallRestriction=AllowUpdatesWithoutDataLoss KeepPVValues=1 ExecuteInitExit=1"
After transferring you can write your PV. Under Process variable functions in the RUC you can find the command Write process variable. Also here there is a wizard and the result looks like this:
WriteVariable "taskname\VariableName", "USINT", "2"
I am using AS 4.4.6. There might be slight differences when using a other version.

How can I create in Gehpi directed tree graph instead of sphererical

I want to make a network graph which shows the distribution of our documents in our folder structure.
I have the nodefile, edgefile and gephi graph file in this location:

What I do is:
Run the algorithm ForceAtlas2 with scaling 10-20, dissuade hub marked and prevent overlap marked, all other standard setting.
What I get is a graph with groups radial/spherical distributed. However, what I want is a tree directed network graph.
Anyone know how I can adjust Gephi to make this?

I just found a solution.
I tested the file format as shown on the Yed site "import excel file" page

This gave me the Yed import dialog (took a life time to figure out that it's a pop up menu and not selectable through the standard menu)
Anyway, it worked and I've adjusted the test files with the data prepared for the Gehpi. This was pretty easy, I could used the source target ID's etc. Just copy paste.
I load it into Yed and used some directed and radial clustering algorithms on it. Works fine!
Below you can find the excel node/edge file used to import in Yed and the graph file you can open with Yed to see the final radial result.

Only thing to figure out is how to combine the weight (which represents the number of documents) with the node size.
Unfortunately, as of version 0.9.0, Gephi no longer supports hierarchical graphs. Maybe try using a previous version?
Other alternatives involve more complex software, such as Graphviz, but you need a .dot file instead of your .csv. I looked all over, but could not find an easy-to-use csv to dot converter.
You could try looking at d3-hierarchy, a node.js program, but then again you need to use the not-so-user-friendly npm. If you look at the link, it looks like it can produce the kind of diagram you're looking for.

How to save mpi profile summary report in matlab

I want to save the details of each worker as it is seen in the mpiprofile summary report. Profsave does not give all the details very clearly for the report generated by the mpiprofile viewer option.
Is there any other way to save the report?
One way I figured to do something similar is the following.
I am assuming you are using "pmode" because as far as my understanding goes, you need to run on "pmode" to run mpiprofile.
So this is how it goes.
Saving
Save the mpiprofile info inside each worker(or it is often called lab from my understanding).
mpiprofile mpistruct;
Then you transfer to the client using the following command
pmode lab2client mpistruct;
Then save the mpistruct into a .mat file
save('mpistruct');
Loading:
When you are trying to view the mpiprofile result:
Load the mpi file
load('mpistruct.mat');
Run mpiprofile viewer
mpiprofile('viewer', mpistruct);
This should pop up the browser.
