When I try to import from eclipse, and select root directory -> select the folder where I have all the my-gdx-game-android,html,desktop.. It only imports the android and it shows a message:
Could not set the project description for 'my-gdx-game-android'
because the project description file (.project) is out of sync with
the file system.
Make sure when you import your projects that you select Existing Projects into Workspace and not Existing Android Code into Workspace.
If you select the second one, Eclipse will only import Android specific projects. The base project in libgdx is a pure Java project that doesn't rely specifically on Android so it won't be imported using that function. This is also true for your html and desktop projects since they're not Android projects.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I am doing here.
I was given a project with a large .tproject file (7956 lines). This is because it is blacklisting numerous files that shouldn't build. It's mostly node_modules. Each file in a module is blacklisted.
Making sure I have installed the node packages, I have followed these steps:
Remove blacklist node from .tproject
Open Tizen Sudio (2.3) on Windows 10
File > Open Projects from File System
Show other specialized import wizards
Tizen > Tizen Project
Browse root directory location
Profile > tv
Finish (project is created but modal hasn't closed)
I get this message:
Resource '/project' already exists
and then:
Errors occurred during the build.
Errors running builder 'Tizen Web Builder' on project 'DStv Now'.
java.lang.NullPointerException
What I want to know:
To get the NullPointerException, my project is definitely missing something in order to get setup. Any ideas what could be missing?
How do I import the project as a Tizen TV application?
How is the .tproject file created?
Is it a suitable file to add to .gitignore? It looks auto generated.
If not, is there a way to use regex to blacklist files instead of listing them one by one?
What I know about .tproject is, It holds Project template Information. Like : tv-samsung-3.0, wearable-2.3.2. This will change only when the developer changes the template for some reason (Suppose update app for new tizen version).
About Importing Tizen TV Project->
Tizen-Studio > File > Import > Tizen > Tizen Project > Root Directory >
Select Specific Project Folder
If every-thing's okay till now you would see a project on Project list. Set the Profile and Version, then finish. The project should be on your Tizen-Studio Project Explorer. Project > Clean > Build.
About .gitignore what I can suggest is to add only the files that get removed at Clean Project command.
I have a number of projects in my Eclipse workspace, some of them plain ol' Java projects, some of them Java web applications, some of them Flash Builder Flex projects.
They all live in a directory hierarchy. How can I open all of them in IntelliJ IDEA to be able to migrate from Eclipse to IDEA? The projects reference each other.
You can create an IntellIJ IDEA Project from source using the Import Project in the main menu.
Select the eclipse .project file or .classpath then check Link created IntelliJ IDEA modules to Eclipse project files.
The official docs, here:
To import an existing Eclipse projects to IntelliJ IDEA:
Open the New
Project Wizard. Having selected the option Import project from
external model, click Next.
On the Import page of the New Project
Wizard, select Eclipse. Optionally, check the option Import into
current project. Click Next.
On the next page of the wizard, specify
the directory, that contains the desired Eclipse workspace. In the
section IntelliJ IDEA project and module file location, specify
whether you want to create IntelliJ IDEA module files in the same
directory where the Eclipse projects reside, or in a dedicated
directory of your choice.
Check the option Link created IntelliJ IDEA
modules to Eclipse project files to automatically synchronize the
Eclipse projects and IntelliJ IDEA modules.
Specify whether you want test sources to be imported.
Click Next. IntelliJ IDEA scans the specified workspace for projects.
On the next page of the wizard, select the Eclipse projects you want
to import. So doing, each Eclipse project is converted to a separate
IntelliJ IDEA module. Click Next. Specify the name for the new
IntelliJ IDEA project, and the location of the project files.
Select also the format in which the project will be stored. Click Finish.
If you select "Keep project and modules in" you could separate eclipse project and IntelliJ IDEA project files
I never did something like this, but after reading docs and playing a bit the options it should be the best way.
The project works well in Eclipse and I have upgraded the android SDK to 22.0.1 too. when I follow the instruction
1, In Eclipse, select File > Export.
2, In the window that appears, open Android and select Generate Gradle build files.
3, Select the project you want to export for Android Studio and click Finish.
But the problem is the exported build.gradle is empty.only one comments there:
// Top-level build file where you can add configuration options common to all sub-projects/modules.
and this empty file is never able to guide the android studio to import the project successfully.
Does anyone has idea what I should do? Thanks.
I want to import my Eclipse projects into IntelliJ IDEA, so I went to the IntelliJ IDEA help page:
If no project is currently open in IntelliJ IDEA, click Import Project
on the Welcome screen. Otherwise, select File | Import Project.
Problem is there is no Import Project option on the welcome screen and there is no Import Project option in the file menu.
Any ideas how to do this?
I checked for updates and it's telling me my 11.1.3 version is the latest, even though the help page has 12.0 in the title bar.
In IntelliJ IDEA 14.1.4 you can import a project with the following existing sources:
Eclipse project (.project) or classpath (.classpath) file
Maven project file (pom.xml)
Bnd/Bndtools workspace (workspace/cnf)
Flash Builder project file (.project, *.fxp, *.fxpl)
Gradle build script (*.gradle)
Go to File → New → Project from Existing Sources… and a dialog will open that allows you to open one of the supported files or directories.
In IntelliJ IDEA 11.1 you can find the import option in the New Project dialog. You can find it at File | New Project.
In IntelliJ IDEA 11 you should use File | New Project, Import project from external model.
Also check that Eclipse Interoperability plug-in is enabled in Settings | Plugins.
How can I import existing Blackberry projects into eclipse?
I found this development guide for BlackBerry Eclipse users, but I didn't find any .jdw file:
Import a BlackBerry application project from an existing workspace
When I make new project and copy all the folder src and res I obtain an error that there is a file missing and there is no specification of type of the name of this file
Error: Cannot run program "jar": CreateProcess error=2.
Can any one help me to run this project?
Click File-->New-->Blackberry Project-->Create project form existing resource --> then browse to your project folder and click finish.
Use this BlackBerry Java Plug-in for Eclipse guide: Add a .jar file dependency
