How to install Liquidsoap & Airtime on CentOS 6.5? - centos

That's the question, i already try some tutorials but i don't get any one to works
What repositorys are needed? Is there any repo than i can add than have it to install it directly? Is there any way to avoid using Debian Box?
I wanna keep the server without graphic interphase, although the webinterphase of Airtime is acceptable.
I'm trying to use it to Broadcast music from an external HDD, to transmit when the DJ's will not be on air, like an AutoDj function
I'm using icecast for the server, i do some test and it works, but i wanna automatize it and then i must add liquidsoap and/or airtime for this.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.
PS: Any suggestion of another software to do this than will be actualy supported would be very welcome.
PS2: If you think i can receive a better answer in another StackExchange place, or think you know a forum, or a place/tutorial that can work, please let me know ;)
I already try IRC btw...
PS3: I mostly post it here because maybie some of you or know the answer or know a better/alternative answer that can post.

How to connect HC-05 to MSP430

I am trying to use Bluetooth module HC-05 with MSP430 by Texas Instrunments.
I want the bluetooth module to collect data wirelessly from an android phone via bluetooth. Can anyone please help me?
You will find an answer and the end. But first I need to write a few introducing words.
You are new to SO and, you might wonder why no one answered your question.
If I should guess: IMHO there could be two main reasons for this.
Your question is not specific enough:
What kind of TI MSP430 do you intend to use? I suppose you use a launchpad G2(?).
What have you tried so far? You can not expect someone else to invest some time if you did not try so solve your problem yourself. Perhaps it easy, if you only try. The people here love to help, but they expect you to be interested in the problem.
What is your backgroud: Are you a programmer but do not know how to connect the hc05 to the MSP or are you fit in electronics and connecting MCUs? Are you a complete beginner?
There are so much cases and I would not have the time to handle all.
I used google to search "MSP430 HC-05" and found a lot of usefull stuff. The first hit is a project working with a Energia IDE, a HC-05 module, a G2-Launchpad and even an Android phone. I and probably other people do not understand why you did not try to search the internet for information.
Ok! enough wise words! ;-)
Here is the promised answer:
You find an example project with the following URL: http://www.electronicwings.com/ti-launchpad/hc-05-bluetooth-module-interfacing-with-msp-exp430g2-ti-launchpad
More results can be found: including (Youtube) Videos
- Keywords: HC-05 MSP430
Please try to work with that material and feel free to ask furter questions here.
But please be sure to be a bit more specific. (Code examples, error messages, your configuration and hardware and what you've tried so far.)
Cheers PPK

How to create a controller and display in browser in zend?

i am new in zend framework. Please help me to create controller and how navigate in browser.
Not the best question, because it shows you haven't searched much. Let's search together:
framework.zend.com
StackOverflow
StackOverflow again
StackOverflow 3
So either search better or please try to explain your need with more details and show what you have already done.
Yeah, this is pretty vague.
I'm assuming that you have some experience with computers, computer programming, the Linux operating system, and developing for the web. Object oriented programming principles, as well as some awareness of php itself are also going to be very helpful.
Do you have an environment to work from? A webserver that's capable of running php? You'll need that, as a bare minimum first. Luckily we live in the days when it's easy to set up virtual environments for that. Try puphpet. It's awesome. While you're at it, make sure you get MySQL, as you'll need it for many of the tutorials provided by Zend (and others).
https://puphpet.com/
Have you downloaded the framework?
If you use the zf tool to create a project, as described in the link below, you'll have a basic application that includes a Controller and that you should be able to browse to.
http://framework.zend.com/manual/1.12/en/learning.quickstart.create-project.html
That should be enough to get you going.

SoftPhone and linux

We are thinking about writing a softphone app. It would basically be a component of a system that has calls queued up from a database. It would interface with a LINUX server which has Asterisk installed.
My first question is
Whether we should write the softphone at all or just buy one?
Secondly, if we do,
what base libraries should be use?
I see SIP Sorcery on CodePlex. More than anything, I am looking for a sense of direction here. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.
The answer would depend on the capabilities you have in your team and the place you see your core value and the essence of the service you provide.
In most cases, I'd guess that you don't really care about SIP or doing anything fancy with it that require access to its low level. In such a case, I'd recommend getting a ready-made softphone - either a commercial one or an open source one. I'd go for a commercial one, as it will give you the peace of mind as to its stability and assistance with bug fixing and stuff.
To directly answer your question, one of the many open source softphones are likely to fit your needs, and allow slight modifications as needed. Under most open source licenses there is no obligation to distribute your code as long as you only use it internally (do not distribute the binary.)
Trying to guess what you are trying to do, it sounds like a call center like scenario, so one of the many call queue implementations out there might fit your needs.
I had to write an own softphone and I found a great guide how to achieve it. In the guide there are 10 steps provided for having an own softphone (voip-sip-sdk.com on page 272)
I found it useful and maybe you will find it as well.

Wikipedia as part of my iOS app

I would like to download information from wikipedia to my iOS app. Firstly, I created simple RSS reader, but I can't download date from wiki. Now, I think that I should create parser for wiki.
What do you think about this? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tomek
In my opinion, parsing a website is never a good idea. Only the smallest change in the design of the website can break your application and make it unusable. I'd try to get to your data in an alternative way. ;-)
Sandro Meier
Scrapping a web site directly from your app is never a good idea. If you are ever going to do that it is suggested that you do it on a server and provide the data to your app in a well known format, so that site changes can be quickly managed by your server, and as a result, never breaking your app.
Although wikipedia does not have a formal API, it provides some other ways of extracting data from its servers. You should check this link:

I know this question is quite old. But I've dealt with the same problem and wrote this very small library. I am using the mediawiki api (Mentioned in the post from Felipe) to get the needed information.

Service development framework solutions for Windows Phone 7

I've been trying to get Thrift to work with WP7, but has put it on hold preliminary.
I'm now looking for other solutions to this and would like to get some feedback on which solution to choose, if any.
Any suggestions is much appreciated, so don't hesitate :)
You might need to hive us a little more detail. Like a link to Thrift would be helpful. Not sure what you are trying to do.
I bing "Thrift" and get a bunch of things (one of which appears to be a commercial service/web site). I bing "thrift api" and get references to an Apache project.
Help us to help you.
