Facebook review, vague to no explanation of failure - facebook

For the last three days, 3 different submissions, I have not been able to pass Facebooks review process. The only feedback I am given is:
I clicked around to see if I could find more details, but there aren't any; as far as I can tell, that's it. At this point I have submitted a support ticket, but thought I'd check in here on SO to see if any others have experienced this vague response.
UPDATE - 2015-05-251
After waiting over the weekend to see if fb would answer my direct support ticket (which I submitted thursday or friday of last week) I came to find that this ticket has just vanished; as if I never submitted it. I know it was there, I was watching it over the weekend. I tried to check it around noon (PST) today and it was gone.
Without any further indication from fb what we're doing wrong, I tried again to submit a review request. I made a few changes to screenshot instructions, added some new information about contacting us if something is wrong (i.e., phone number), and added a few more pieces of information about the publish process. Hoping to hear back from them tomorrow (Tuesday) if not sooner.
UPDATE - 2015-05-25[2]
I got a response from one of the support members on the FB dev page pointing out that there is a good chance that I was not viewing 'all' tickets on my fb dev support page. He was right. I found the support ticket there with someone from fb offering to help me get things straightened out tomorrow (Tuesday). Will update here once I get more information.

Jimmy (I answered your post on the Developer's group). I found this:
"My app was rejected for 'General Issues'. What does this mean?
The App Review process involves loading your app on each supported platform, logging in with Facebook, and using every Facebook integration that you're requesting in review. This often results in what we call 'general issues.' These are errors or bugs relating to loading your app, logging into your app or the general functionality of your app. This means we weren't able to test the permissions you request in your submission.
Since these are issues that prevent us from reviewing your Facebook functionality, we can't comment in detail about how your app uses the Facebook functionality you've submitted for review. Because of this, we reject with 'General Issues' and provide feedback about this on each platform.
If you receive a 'General Issues' rejection, please carefully read all of the feedback. Each platform will receive individual feedback that should explain what issues were experienced in review."

After my final update above (posted on 5/25/2015) I was later informed by the individual assigned to my support ticket that Facebook had a bug in their system that was preventing my submission from being approved. After waiting it out (about 2 days) they got the bug fixed on their end and this morning my submission was fully approved.
The best solution I can think of is: If you've triple-checked and tested your code and you are still failing the review process and getting no explanation as to why - check in with Facebook support either by submitting a ticket (if you have that option) or by reaching out on their Facebook Dev page. It's a closed group but they don't seem strict in any sense about who they approve to join. FB devs moderate the group, so posting your situation along with your App ID seems very helpful.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in on this one, here and on the fb dev page.

Facebook periodic review is unclear

Platforms affected: Connect URL.
Developer Policy 1.2: Build an app that is stable and easily navigable. Some common violations of this policy include:
- Broken Facebook integration (e.g. broken share, like or comment functionality)
- Broken user experience in the app (e.g. app has broken links or user interface failures)
My app:
Using https://www.npmjs.com/package/hellojs v1.18.8 to query user info from facebook.
The request URL:

App has no share, like, comment functionality and not really any user interface. Just our page offers ability to fill some data with facebook and then it remembers you with cookie.
Anyone has similar e-mail and what to do?
Our app does not use share, like or comment functionality neither do we provide any user interface for users (only the o. We are using Facebook to prefill some user data on our site.
Have the same unclear message "Platform affected: Connect Url".
I asked for a more detailed answer and received an answer the next day:
Thank you for your response.
Facebook periodically reviews the websites and applications which are on it. Your application is in its review process currently. We are required to test the Facebook login functionality in order to conclude the review in totality. However, we are unable to do so.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to locate a Facebook integration (Login, Share and Like) on your submitted platform. To help us conclude the review process, could you kindly share the details regarding the location of a Facebook integration and how to navigate to it on your website URL.
This review is essential to Facebook as we want to offer the best experience to users as well as developers like yourself. Please help us in bringing your application into compliance by working with us.
Alternatively, you could aid us by sending us credentials of a test user which is already registered and connected to an FB account within the app. You can get all the information related to creating a test user here - https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/test-users.
Please feel free to get in touch with us regarding any doubts or queries you might have.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
My app contains the functionality of a facebook login. I made an instruction and a test user of the application so that Facebook employees could test the functionality used in my application.
Normally they write down what is wrong and explain how to fix it. If you are not sure you can reply them back and ask how to fix it. I manage to fix my issue which was similar to the one explain below by emailing facebook.
https://technuisance.com/facebook/facebook-policy-warning-for-app-solved.html
I got the same message from Facebook two months ago. In my case, I didn't find a solution in time and Facebook penalize me by deactivating the app.
Therefore, you must attend to it if you do not want the same to happen to you. Facebook uses software similar to this to check for failures on your site and assigns a score according to its performance. That's why they send you such a generic message.
I suggest you use PageSpeed Insights to receive a report on the performance of your website. In addition, the platform gives you suggestions for optimization and improvement; Surely there you will find some clue of what may be failing.

Domain is blocked by Instagram and Facebook

I have a Shopify site at https://www.vaingloryshop.com that is being blocked both by Instagram and Facebook. Instagram gives me the error "Link not allowed. It looks like your profile contains a link that is not allowed. We restrict certain content and actions to protect our community. Tell us if you think we made a mistake." And as you can imagine I spammed the 'Tell Us' button, but they never reply. Facebook's debugger returns, "We can't review this website because the content doesn't meet our Community Standards. If you think this is a mistake, please let us know." Also let them know numerous times.
The domains are bought through Google. The first time we turned on the site was 12/24/18 and was the same time we tried to add to our IG bio and immediately got this blocked message and have ever since. At that time we had the primary domain as https://www.vainglory.us. And I thought the .us as throwing it off, which is why I changed the primary domain to what it is now (about a little over a week ago). Any ideas?? FB, IG support is MIA, and Shopify/Google domains have no ideas or issues on their ends.
Fixed! Found a clue while scouring the internet. I went ahead and setup a Facebook Ad account then from there contacted FB support in the Business Manager. They asked me about the URL in question and immediately fixed it. Apparently it had been blocked due to some unknown reason. Now everything's up and running!
We resolve our domain name and we found the live support in this link: https://www.facebook.com/business/help then on the bottom of categories you will find the "Find answers or contact support & Get Started Button" after that a modal will appear and it will allow you to choose a type of category, for us we selected the Business Pages then below there is a large text that will you if you need more support check this image for reference: Need more help? Is there any way to submit a FB app for review while it in "Live Mode"?

so I made a web based FB app. submitted it for review because I need 3 more permissions (not the basic one) for new functions that I want to add in my site (Which is very active).
I submitted it for review 12 days before, and after 10 days I decided to cancel it and re-submit (I thought it's a bug because a year ago a review took no more than 3 days).
Right now i'm still waiting for more than 48 hours already and still nothing.
My site is down because users can't login while the app is in development mode.
I can't continue like that, my site is down for 12 days and I can't keep it down for a whole month, i'll lose all my users. As I said the site is very active, and keeping it down for that long is hurting bad the business.
Is there any way to make the app "Live" but still manage to be approved? Because from what I understood, all apps that request new permissions should stay in Development mode until the review is done because only in this mode the Facebook Checker can access the un-approved permissions, while in Live Mode he will be able to access only the basic ones and then he will just deny my request.
Your thoughts?
I don't think we should harm our businesses like that and shut down our sites for more than 20 days just because the review process is slow. I think Facebook must find a way that sites will be able to be active while the review of the app also will continue and it will not harm it.
Thanks.
Oh boy, be careful there. FB app reviewers are not the smartest bunch. My app reviewer went to localhost despite being clearly instructed by text and video to go to the live URL.
So in your case, I would suggest get the site back online and make sure EVERYTHING is in order before submitting your app for review.

Facebook audience integration, stuck at second step

I have integrated FAN with success. I can show banners and interstitials in test and not test mode. So, I have sent impressions to facebook but my current state in the integration shows this:
Shouldn't it be at third step? More Oddly my placements show like this:
So, by the status message it seems it has received requests and this is the only requirement I have found for facebook to start placement review.
So, does anybody know if this is how it works? Shouldn't I be at step 3 (Placements review)?
Thanks in advance.
After uploading the app to live Google Play Store, and wait for a week, I finally get the above screen-shot, without doing anything.
That's means, once you see the ads at your side, the only thing you need to do is to upload the app to live Google Play Store. After that, the only thing you need to do is wait.
It seems I discovered why I could not advance in the review process. Today I got this message from facebook:
Thank you for writing into Audience Network.
I’m happy to explain more about the updated review process for apps.
First, make sure your that the newest version of your app is live in the app store.
Then, once your app has been downloaded by a user and an ad request is delivered, the app
will be enqueued for review. Please note that the review process should still only take 1-2
business days and that this request must be from a user that is not registered
as a developer of the app ID on Facebook.
So, it seems that you need to have your app live and be downloaded by a user that is not registered as developer. This seems not good for publishers because if you have an app that is providing good money you won't see a penny during the review period.
Hope this clarifies the process a bit more.
I had EXACTLY the same problem and my game was live in Google Play with 100+ download.
More then 10 days have passed! But my panel still shows: "Enabled for testing and received ad request recently".
Then I contacted to Facebook and the reply is:
Thank you for writing in. My name is Andrea and I would be happy to
help you! There is currently a maintenance issue going on, which
affected the display of the dashboard. The placement is not displaying
as “enabled” in green, even though your app is approved. However, this
should not affect the ad delivery. Please let me know if you have any
other questions. Have a great week!
In addition:
Before releasing your app to the store, it’s highly important that you
test the integration is working properly. When you run your app on the
simulator, test ads will show by default and indicate a successful end
to end ad serving in your app. When testing on a device however, you
must enable test ads by copying the hashed device ID that is printed
to the console and set it in code via a dedicated function.
And, the most important thing is this:
Until your app is reviewed and approved by Facebook, only the admins
and the developers of your app will be served with Facebook Ads.
To conclude,
App needs to be live before anyone can see the adds except developers.

Facebook keeps rejecting application

My company's Facebook app has been in operation for a few years, but with the recent API upgrade, Facebook now requires apps to be submitted for approval if you need certain permissions.
This app adds a page tab, which requires the manage_pages permission. Facebook has rejected the app several times, providing the following reason:
We could not reproduce the requested permission. Please submit
detailed, step-by-step English instructions in the "Add Notes" section
of the permission, and make sure to provide the relevant version of
your app.
Things I've done:
provided step-by-step instructions, with supporting screenshots for each step
had multiple people test those steps to ensure the login process and page tab work as expected
read through all of the supporting documentation and submission articles
Unfortunately, Facebook provides no option to contact their reviewers.
Has anyone else hit a wall when submitting a Facebook app for approval? And if so, were you able to figure out the issue or contact the reviewer?
That's unfortunate... I think there have been such cases. If you think everything is correct with your review submission, I'd recommend that you post a message to https://www.facebook.com/groups/fbdevelopers/ There are FB engineers monitoring the group, I guess they could give you some help or contact the right persons.
Good luck!
