Yii2 remove empty fields from url string

I need your help. I have an Active Form in my Yii2 application and when I submit my form it shows values (no matter empty or not) of every field of the form to the GET-string so it looks like
domain.com/index?ItemSearch%5Brooms_arr%5D=&ItemSearch%5Bprice_type%5D=& ItemSearch%5Bprice_type%5D=0&ItemSearch%5Barea_from%5D=&ItemSearch%5Barea_to%5D=&... etc.
I need to have cleaner query string which will contain only non-empty params?
For example domain.com/index?rooms_arr=12&price_type=normal.
Please suggest me what is the best way to do this?
This is not the yii2 problem. It is a native html form works like this. If you really do want to exclude all not filled inputs from the query string you could filter all this params via jQuery and set them to disable state, here is the code
$('form').submit(function(e){
var emptyinputs = $(this).find('input').filter(function(){
return !$.trim(this.value).length; // get all empty fields
}).prop('disabled',true);
});

SilverStripe custom form retrieve values for form fields

I have a problem with my front end admin update page. How can I retrieve values from a SiteTree page and populate it into a custom form? Is the setValue($values) function the only way? If yes, which is the best method to get the page variable?
I am using this:
$evens = Versioned::get_by_stage('PageCalendrierEvenement', 'Stage')->byID($evenID);
I'm getting values from an ID of a draft page. After I get variables and values like that:
$field = new TextField('Titre', 'Titre');
$field->setValue($evens->Titre);
or
new TextField('Titre','Titre', $evens->Titre);
Which is the better solution?
The solution is 2 part:
Use TextField::create($constructor, $args) instead of new (optional, but not doing so is a pet hate of mine).
Set all fields at once: http://api.silverstripe.org/3.1/class-Form.html#_loadDataFrom

How to get user's input from WicketStuff's TinyMCE

Pretty straight-forward question, but I can't find this anywhere. I'm using WicketStuff's TinyMCE to make a Rich Text Editor in my application, and can't find anywhere how to get the input from the text area. For brevity's sake, the following is a simplified version of the code I'm using.
private String input;
...
TinyMCESettings settings = new TinyMCESettings(TinyMCESettings.Theme.simple);
TextArea<String> textArea = new TextArea<String>("editor", new PropertyModel<String>(this, "input"));
textArea.add(new TinyMceBehavior(settings));
form.add(textArea);
Using this, I would expect the usual manner to simply use my String 'input' since it's set as the model. This always results in null as the model isn't being updated.
I tried using the auto-save plugin in case it was expecting the save button to be clicked (which doesn't update the model either), and neither worked. The only thing I've been able to do to get the user's input is to add a HiddenField, with a new model, and make a JavaScript call like
document.getElementById('hiddenField').value = tinyMCE.get('editor').getContent();
but this has led to other problems with trying to call the JS in the desired place and to get it to work properly. I feel this shouldn't be necessary anyways, as surely someone must have implemented a method to get the contents of the text area being used.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to a blog post at Nevermind Solutions, the way to get the model updated is to add the following JavaScript to the form's submitting button:
onclick="tinyMCE.triggerSave(true,true);"
My text area is inside a panel with the button outside of the panel, so it doesn't directly work for me. The trick was to add the JavaScript call to the button's onSubmit, move the logic into the onAfterSubmit, and to make the button MultiPart so that it could call the save trigger before doing the other logic associated to the model.
Hope this might help some others in the future.
You have to add a modifier to the submit button so that the model can update.
AjaxButton btnSubmit = new AjaxButton("btnSubmit", new Model()) {
#Override
public void onSubmit(AjaxRequestTarget target, Form<?> form) {
doSomething();
}
};
btnSubmit.add(new TinyMceAjaxSubmitModifier());

Orchard - add class or id to the body using fields

My questions is - how do I add a class or id to the body tag using a text field within Orchard?
So if I enter the word "product" in the text field then the result should be <body class="product">. I want to use this method instead of creating alternate layout templates as every page has the same layout but I need a different class for each page to reference a different colour scheme I have setup for each page in my CSS.
I have added a text field with the name Area to the Title ContentType in the backend. My problem is now how to get the value of the field to be put into the body in the Document.cshtml.
I have read Setting Unique Body Classes and IDs in Orchard and Using Alternatives for Document.cshtml in Orchard CMS but I still can't get it to work! The second one seems like what I want to do but so far I have been unable to acheive it.
Any answer would be very appreciated?
Thanks
Andy
I am so frustrated that there is no readily available solution found in the net about this. Since I am more comfortable coding in jquery & js...
Here's my solution: Assuming you have jquery loaded...
#using(Script.Foot()) {
<script type ="text/javascript">
//<![CDATA[
$(document).ready(function () {
var url = window.location.pathname;
var count = url.match(new RegExp("/", 'g'));
var urlsplit = url.split("/");
var page_class = urlsplit[count.length];
alert(page_class);
$('body').addClass(page_class);
});
//]]>
</script>
}
The easiest way to achieve this is to use the Classy feature from Vandelay.Industries.

ASP.NET MVC 2: Update Partial?

Is it possible to call a controller action that will update (refresh) a partial within the View with the updated model? If so, can someone point me to an example?
I'm making an ajax call. The call sends some json to the controller. The controller extracts the json and formats it into XML that then get's passed on to a SPROC. The results of the SPROC update the model. This is where I need to update the view... with the latest model results.
Yes, you simply need to have the action return the PartialView with its updated model. The calling code might look like this:
<div id="MyDiv"></div>
<%=Ajax.ActionLink("Update", "GetUpdatedPartialView",
new AjaxOptions{UpdateTargetId = "MyDiv"}) %>
When you click on the link, the HTML returned by your action will get placed into the div with ID "MyDiv".
Edit
I don't have my code with me, but if I remember right it's something like this:
var url = '<%=Url.Action("GetUpdatedPartialView")%>';
$.post(url, function(data) {$('#MyDiv').html(data);});
In the controller, you can just do something like:
if (Request.IsAjaxRequest()) {
return View(name_of_partial, updated_model);
}
On the front end, it's just a jQuery load, something like:
$("#target-div").load(url_of_action, data_to_send);
