How to link tables that have a 'OR' in it. Something like:
select * from TableA inner join TableB
on TableA.col1 = TableB.col1 OR TableA.col2 = TableB.col2
PART-2
How to link tables that have a trim in it. Something like
select * from TableA inner join TableB
on TRIM(TableA.col1) = TRIM(TableB.col1)
Please note that both the above needs to be done without COMMAND.

You can link both the fields in database expert and you can write your selection in select expert as per your requirement.
For part 2 just link the fields and trim in crystal report formulas

I want to do a join with another table. I followed the tutorial on the site and the my code compiles but it's not performing the join and instead just selects the first table.
SELECT
"table1.col1"
"table1.col2"
"table1.col3"
FROM
"table1"
JOIN "table2" ON "table1"."col1" = "table2"."col1"
LIMIT
1
It is only returning the data from table1 and not concatenating the columns where the condition for table1 and table2 is met.
I execute the query using the following code:
Entity::find()

.await?
That returns a Vec<Model>. Is this the correct way? Also, how can I build a SQL statement using an Entity as the base which looks like SELECT * from "table1".
After 'SELECT' (and before 'FROM') you are specifying which columns
to include in the output,
and you are selecting only three columns from table1 in your code.
Add the columns you want to include from table2 here, and you may get
the results you want.
I am getting a different result in CR. I got the right result when I tried to run the query in SQL Server
here is the example of my situation

what I am trying to achieve is like this
BUT the CR's result is like this
here is my query:

This can't be the SQL statement used in the Crystal report.
Are you using a Command as the data source in the report? If so, please show the command in your question.
If you are not using a Command, please show the table joins and the record selection formula.
Most likely, you are not using a Command and the record selection formula in the report design is simply wrong.
Okay. So the question that I got asked by the teacher was this:
(5 marks) Construct a SQL query on the dvdrental database that uses a natural join of two or more tables and an additional where condition. (E.g. find the titles of films rented by a particular customer.) Note the hints on the course news page if your query returns nothing.
Here is the layout of the database im working with:

The hint to us was this:

If a natural join doesn't produce any results in the dvdrental DB, it is because many tables have the last update: timestamp field, and thus the natural join tries to join on that field as well as the intended field.
e.g.
select *
from film natural join inventory;
does not work because of this - it produces an empty table (no results).
Instead, use
select *
from film, inventory
where film.film_id = inventory.film_id;
This is what I did:
select *
from film, customer
where film.film_id = customer.customer_id;
The problem is I cannot get a particular customer.
I tried doing customer_id = 2; but it returns a error.

Well, it seems that you would like to join two tables that have no direct relation with each other, there's your issue:
where film.film_id = customer.customer_id
To find which films are rented by which customer you would have to join customer table with rental, then with inventory and finally with film.

I am using a PostgreSQL database. I have one select query:
select userid, name, age from tbluser;
Now there is another table, tblcalculatedtax, which is generated on the fly and their column names are not predefined, the only mapping between that table and this table is userid. I want to get records after joining two tables. How can I get that?
Simpler:
SELECT *
FROM tbluser
JOIN tblcalculatedtax USING (userid)

To quickly answer your question, though:
SELECT * FROM tbluser
INNER JOIN tblcalculatedtax
ON tbluser.userid=tblcalculatedtext.userid
The * selects all the columns, so you don't need to know their names. Of course, I'm not sure what use a column is to you if you don't know it's name: do you know what data it contains?
I have the need to look at two tables that share two variables and get a list of the data from one table that does not have matching data in the other table. Example:
Table A
xName
Date
Place
xAmount
Table B
yName
Date
Place
yAmount
I need to be able to write a query that will check Table A and find entries that have no corresponding entry in Table B. If it was a one variable issue I could use not in statement but I can't think of a way to do that with two variables. A left join also does not appear like you could do it. Since looking at it by a specific date or place name would not work since we are talking about thousands of dates and hundreds of place names.
