I did not find a working plugin after my tremendously long search for a plugin that works in eclipse. I want the Netbeans GUI-plugin, the one that allows you to modify and create different GUI:s without "coding" in eclipse. Is it possible to do? Where I can I find it?
You mean something like the eclipse windowbuilder? https://eclipse.org/windowbuilder/

So I have nearly 300 plug-ins and features in my workspace at any given time. And I want to quickly filter the Package Explorer view, to show only projects that have, say, xyz in their name. Is there a way to do this?
I can't seem to find a way to search for projects specifically in the search dialogs either. I feel this should be straightforward but can't seem to recall how to do it right now, if it was ever possible.
Using eclipse 4.4.2, on windows 7.
Try this custom package explorer plugin. Here you can filter resources.
I'd like to find all references to certain methods within my workspace. I used to do this using Eclipse's ⌘+shift+G / ctrl+shift+G hotkeys for all my Java classes, but now nothing shows up when searching in Scala classes using the Eclipse Scala IDE.
I'm currently using Scala IDE for Eclipse v3.0.3.
Is this reference searching functionality already supported in the Scala IDE, and if so, what is the shortcut for it?
Thanks.
I had this problem too and I ended up installing the Eclipse Quick Search plugin from the Spring team that normally ships as part of STS. It has no Spring dependencies and is easy to install separately from the Eclipse Marketplace. Use ⌘+shift+L and start typing and you get incremental search results.
Find references is implemented as feature but it is far away from being as powerful as the Java implementation.
You can find the actual key combination if you do a right click in the editor area and navigate to the "References" entry.
However, if the find references feature doesn't find anything, then it is clearly a bug and it would be nice if you could report your use case in the ticket tracker.
Did you try using Scala-Search? It's available from the same update site as the Scala IDE itself, and it should find Scala references. See Features docs.
I just love AngularJs. I write all my projects in netbeans and I would like to stick with netbeans. I searched over the net for a plugin that supports AngularJs in netbeans, with no luck.
There is a plugin, but it seems not to work, or I can not get it to work.
I am not looking for a full fledged plugin, if I could get rid of the warnings in the editor I would be satisfied.
My questions:
Does anyone know a working plugin for netbeans that supports AngularJs?
If not, a link to instructions how to make netbeans understand a custom attribute would also help/
you can prefix them with data- or x- ...
I need to modify project creation in eclipse. I would like to add my own project creation. For example, when developer selectes File->New->Project, I want my option (i.e, XYZ Java Project) under to be available. Is this possible ? If yes, i am looking for some direction to begin with ?
Thanks.
To begin with you need to contribute your own Eclipse Plug in. Download Eclipse plugin developers IDE from this Location.
You can contribute a Custom Project Wizard through Extensions.
Define your Project Nature
For reference you can check this example Create a Custom Project in Eclipse – New Project Wizard: the Behavior
Hope this helps !!
Yes you can. A robust way to do this is to make an eclipse plugin so that it gets added to the menu. I was just looking into this myself a couple of days ago and this is what I found.

Better yet though, let me just show you an answer about this: https://stackoverflow.com/a/299316/879485
If you use Maven you can have a look at archetypes. Maven also has the ability to create Eclipse projects. With this you should have all the tools necessary to automate whatever project layout you need to have.
I´m new to Play and Scala world, so I´m needing some help to figure out how can I edit the scala template files using Eclipse. I already installed scala ide 2.9 but when I try to edit the index.scala.html, the contents of the file aren´t editable...
Please can anyone help me?
I experienced this just recently, too, but lucky for you I made the full migration from IntelliJ to Eclipse.
There is some setting up you need to do with the Scala templates, but one of the easiest ways to get it done is following these steps:
Step 1: Add file extensions
http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.platform.doc.user%2Ftasks%2Ftasks-51.xhtml
Be sure that your file extensions are properly added to the file associations.
Step 2:
Look at the associated editor. In the image above you'll see that the only associated editor with *.htm is Web Browser. So you'll need to hit the "Add..." button to add the Scala editor. Don't forget to set it as default :)
Step 3:
Right-click on your Scala template and be sure that you are choosing the right editor. You can also use this to switch between editors.
Hope this helps!
