Apple's website parallax effect - iphone

I recently saw the "Design" page of Apple's presention of the iPhone 6S. They used a "parallax effect" for each of the iPhones. I know there are already existing parallax plugins available but Apple has that smooth effect that even works with "jerky" mouse knob. I really want to imitate that effect.
Here's the link Apple iPhone 6S / Design

OK, so I just found this perfect parallax scrolling plugin Skrollr and it's perfect.

How to get a finished iPhone 5 app to display AS IF in "compatibility mode" on iPad with retina display?

This is my first iPhone app (iPhone 5), and it's basically ready to submit to Apple except...
I'm stumped on how to get my app to display on the iPad like it would in compatibility mode if it had a 3.5 inch screen. But it has a 4-inch screen, of course. It's an iPhone 5 app. And Apple has not yet provided a compatibility mode (that I am aware of) that will display the 4-inch screen properly in compatibility mode on the iPad. Instead, compatibility mode distorts and cuts off the 4-inch layout and smushes it into a 3.5-inch compatibility mode box.
I have read all of the stackoverflow Q&A's that I could find, plus many other web pages, tried numerous approaches, but all solutions end up with my iPhone storyboard layout distorted on the iPad and/or nailed to the top left portion of the iPad screen, or both.
I've been banging my head on this for days.
I sure hope someone can help.
You know how 3.5-inch iphone apps look on the ipad in compatibility mode? That is EXACTLY how I want my iPhone 5, 4-inch screen to look on the iPad, but with the 4-inch dimensions. I do not want the app to occupy nearly all of the iPad screen. Just a box that looks like the iphone 5 app, hanging right there centered in the iPad screen. I don't have a problem with figuring out how to connect things to my view controllers, fwiw.
I don't know how to put this any more specifically. If my question is unclear, perhaps someone could help me to restate it? This is NOT a duplicate of other stackoverflow topics I have been able to find. But I'm willing to be corrected.
Hellllp! :-) Thanks in advance for any light you may be able to shed. I'm hoping to avoid starting from scratch to create a usable iPad presentation for my iPhone 5 app.
iPad doesn't work like that. I believe the reason is that the 2x button would not scale properly for the 4 inch screen.
Either way, you need to make sure your app works well for the 3.5 inch screen anyway, this may be a good time to rethink some of the design of your app to make sure it works well in a 3.5 inch screen.

Website-Navigation disabled on iOS

I have a very rare problem on iOS (iphone).
i developed the site yolieva.de with a videoclip which also runs on ios. but it plays in the background because on top is the navigation with z-index. but it is not accessible from ios. kind of disabled because of the videoclip. you may want to try it with an iphone and you see you cant click through the siteā€¦
how to solve this? i want to keep the navigation above the video
I think this has something to do with how iOS deals with the videoclip, so I am not sure that you can do anything about it directly.
Why don't you make the div containing the flash player (id player) smaller on the iphone?
In fact, on the iphone your flash video is not shown in place, there is anyway a change of view, so there is no need of having it full screen either. Of course, you should make your flash player div smaller only for iOS, not other browsers, where it is fine that it is full screen...

How to make iPad use the #2x.png high res images in "2x" mode

I've read the documentation and googled until I couldn't google anymore, but still I cannot figure out how to make my iPhone app use the higher resolution images when displayed in "2x" mode on the iPad.
I have Icon.png Icon#2x.png and Icon-72.png and they work fine, but I don't want to have to rename all of my images. Also, the "2x" just seems to scale up pixels so text and IB objects look terrible. Is there a fix for this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Note: This is not a universal app. I don't want to make it into a universal app. I just want it to scale up and look pretty on the ipad.
It is possible, at least in Cocos2D apps. Matt Rix does exactly this in his app Trainyard and it looks great on the iPad at 2x! He covers some of the details on his blog: Retinafy your Game.
Apple want you to write native iPad apps, so they deliberately don't support this, and there's no way to make it happen that I'm aware of.
You can register for the notification _UIClassicApplicationWillChangeZoomNotificationName and scale your graphics appropriately, i.e. by setting the rasterizationScale on the CALayer to the value returned by [[UIScreen mainScreen] scale].

custom camera preview on the iPhone?

I have two of my apps rejected by Apple and sitting on the "shelves of approval" for 2 months, because both apps were using UIImagePickerController and I dared to add a rectangle on top of the UIImagePickerController, using something as
[picker.view addSubView:rectangle];
On the other hand, applications like CameraZoom and others, ditch the UIImagePickerController regular appearance completely and has its own interface, with custom graphics and sliders on top of the camera preview and even with the ability to zoom the preview image in real-time.
My question is: how can one do that and not be crucified by Apple?
thanks for any insight!
As far as I know, it's been hit and miss. Some apps get through, some don't, and it's really quite annoying (as is app approval in general).
In SDK 3.1, there is a new Camera Overlay concept, where you can overlay your own view on top of the camera view. You can find more documentation on the iPhone Developer website (since it is 3.1, it is under NDA).
