OpenDDS Error in Running Messenger Example - publish-subscribe

EDIT: I have switched from DCPSInfoRepo to RTPS, and everything is working fine. I don't know if this question should stay open to answer the problem for anyone working with DCPSInfoRepo
I am looking into using OpenDDS, and I am currently following the "Getting Started" guide for Windows. I reached the step of running the Messenger example using the command
run run_test.pl
I get the following output which I believe is an error.
C:\dds\bin\.\DCPSInfoRepo.EXE -ORBDebugLevel 10 -ORBLogFile DCPSInfoRepo.log -o

Can I please get some directions on how to resolve this issue?

Missing objects when building Unity3d game for WebGL using game.ci for GitLab

I was given a Unity3d game to setup a pipeline in GitLab for if targeting WebGL. I'm using Game.ci guide and this is already working/setup but after the build completes, we've noticed that a few objects are missing in the scene.
Reviewing the log output, I found we have a few lines like this that may or may not be the issue but it's the only I can find from the logs so far:
Starting: /opt/unity/Editor/Data/bee_backend --profile="Library/Bee/backend_profiler0.traceevents" --stdin-canary --dagfile="Library/Bee/2000b0aE.dag" --continue-on-failure ScriptAssemblies
WorkingDir: <working-dir>
ExitCode: 4 Duration: 0s42ms
[ ] Require frontend run. Library/Bee/2000b0aE.dag couldn't be loaded
It's complaining about Library/Bee/2000b0aE.dag but further down the logs I can see it gives no error for that file 🤔:
Starting: /opt/unity/Editor/Data/bee_backend --profile="Library/Bee/backend_profiler1.traceevents" --stdin-canary --dagfile="Library/Bee/2000b0aE.dag" --continue-on-failure --dagfilejson="Library/Bee/2000b0aE.dag.json" ScriptAssemblies
WorkingDir: <working-dir>
ExitCode: 0 Duration: 52s
I've tried to find info about this but the closest I could find was Linux editor stuck on loading because of bee_backend w/ workaround which states that the --stdin-canary arg is the problem but I didn't see an ExitCode: 4 (or non-zero for that matter)
Any thoughts on this would be more than appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Undefined method [] for nil when trying to run cap deploy:restart

I have a Rails 5.2 app, and with cap 3.4.1 we are suddenly getting this weird error:
[b35efe76] Phusion Passenger(R) 6.0.8
DEBUG [b35efe76] Finished in 0.305 seconds with exit status 0 (successful).
(Backtrace restricted to imported tasks)
cap aborted!
SSHKit::Runner::ExecuteError: Exception while executing as deploy#host.com: undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass
Trying to narrow it down, it happens when attempting to restart, because this is the line that fails:
cap production deploy:restart
The question is, how do I go about finding what file is trying to call [] on a nil value on? Running cap with --trace is of no value because it just gives me internal errors - nothing in my code. Basically, how do I find out what is nil?
One more clue, currently, I have a bunch of servers, if I run the cap restart command on server A, it restarts fine, on server B, it throws this error, so I'm guessing there's an environment variable on server A but not B, but the error is just so opaque I don't know where to begin.
Thanks for any help,
kevin
A wild guess: I had a similar problem and I could solve it by upgrading capistrano-passenger to >= 0.2.1
Looks like the version change of passenger from 6.0.7 to 6.0.8 has introduces a problem. I see you are also on 6.0.8, so it might affect you, too!

Can't start / connect to Oracle Database - Windows 10 / Oracle 18 XE / SQL Developer

I am trying to install and run this database for a week... ;<
I previously tried with Oracle 12 c standard edition but it didn't work - I don't know why ;(
For now I have uninstalled (I believe) the 12 c and installed 18 XE..
On SQL Plus I have: ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error service is running when I try to log in as sysdba
All services on services.msc are running:
- OracleOraDB18Home1MTSRecoveryService
- OracleOraDB18Home1TNSListener
- OracleRemExecServiceV2
- OracleServiceXE
- OracleVssWriterXE
On command line when I type "lsnrctl status" I have:
Connecting to (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=DESKTOP-*******)(PORT=1521)))
STATUS of the LISTENER

Default Service XE

Services Summary...
Service "CLRExtProc" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "CLRExtProc", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
The command completed successfully
And on SQL Developer I have one of 2 errors, depending what I write there:
- Status : Failure - The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
- Status : Failure -Test failed: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
I don't know what I am doing. I just want to install and run this as quickly as possible to practice on sample database for an exam :( This is my PC, no virtual machines or online servers
Please help me investigate the issue - I checked several answers, even on this site, but I can't understand them well, there are a lot more information there than I need....
Your exception message...
TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
... and your listener status...
Services Summary...
Service "CLRExtProc" has 1 instance(s).
Instance "CLRExtProc", status UNKNOWN, has 1 handler(s) for this service...
The command completed successfully
... say exactly what's wrong. Your TNS Listener does not know of your Oracle DB service.
You may be right that your Windows "Oracle DB" service is running; that does not mean, though, that your Oracle instance is running. First, log on as admin to your Oracle DB from a Windows user that is privileged to log on locally...
set ORACLE_SID=fill_in_the_SID_of_your_Oracle_instance_here
sqlplus / as sysdba
... and run...
alter system set local_listener = <fill_in_your_local_listener_SID_here>
alter system register;
That should register your database service to your TNS Listener, provided that you have your local TNS listener configured in your server's tnsnames.ora...
<fill_in_your_local_listener_SID_here> = (address = (protocol = tcp)(host = 127.0.0.1)(port = 1521))
Too complicated, I know. That's why it's better (for new developers w/o Oracle DBA skills) to use precreated VMs images as suggested by #thatjeffsmith's comment above.

Make sure that your X server is running and that $DISPLAY is set correctly

Hi I have install wine (version wine-3.0.2)on CentOS 7 to run my .vbs file. but while running it got the below errors.

Could you please help me to fix this. I don't have much idea about it
You're missing DISPLAY variable.
Try setting it to :0 (assuming your display is on screen 0), e.g.
export DISPLAY=:0
If you don't have your X server running, you can install Xvfb.
See: How to make Xvfb display visible?

IBM BLUEMIX BLOCKCHAIN SDK-DEMO failing

I have been working with HFC SDK for Node.js and it used to work, but since last night I am having some problems.
When running helloblockchain.js only few times works, most time I get this error when it tries to enroll a new user:

This code worked yesterday, so I don't know what could be happening.
Does anybody know how can I fix it?
Thanks,
Javier.

These types of intermittent issues are usually related to GRPC. An initial suggestion is to ensure that you are using at least GRPC version 1.0.0.
If you are using a Mac, then the maximum number of open file descriptors should be checked (using ulimit -n). Sometimes this is initially set to a low value such as 256, so increasing the value could help.
There are a couple of GRPC issues with similar symptoms.
https://github.com/grpc/grpc/issues/8732
https://github.com/grpc/grpc/issues/8839
https://github.com/grpc/grpc/issues/8382
There is a grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms property that is mentioned in some of these issues. Increasing the value past the 1000 ms level might help reduce the frequency of issues. Below are instructions for how the helloblockchain.js file can be modified to set this property to a higher value.
Open the helloblockchain.js file in the Hyperledger Fabric Client example and find the enrollAndRegisterUsers function.
Add “grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms": 5000 to the setMemberServicesUrl call.
chain.setMemberServicesUrl(ca_url, {
pem: cert, "grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms": 5000
});
Add “grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms": 5000 to the addPeer call.
chain.addPeer("grpcs://" + peers[i].discovery_host + ":" + peers[i].discovery_port,
{pem: cert, "grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms": 5000
});
Note that setting the grpc.initial_reconnect_backoff_ms property may reduce the frequency of issues, but it will not necessarily eliminate all issues.
The connection to the eventhub that is made in the helloblockchain.js file can also be a factor. There is an earlier version of the Hyperledger Fabric Client that does not utilize the eventhub. This earlier version could be tried to determine if this makes a difference. After running git clone https://github.com/IBM-Blockchain/SDK-Demo.git, run git checkout b7d5195 to use this prior level. Before running node helloblockchain.js from a Node.js command window, the git status command can be used to check the code level that is being used.
