How to create a new search form in AEM? - aem

I have a requirement to show a custom "Assets Admin Search Rail" under Search Forms. I created an overlay to '/libs/dam/gui/content/facets' and able to edit the fields displayed on facets of assets search.
Now when author is searching within my projects folder (/content/dam/myapps), the facet items needs to be different list compared to searching from other folders (/content/dam)
How can I create a new "Assets Admin Search Rail" similar to existing and force AEM to load the right form when openeded from respective dam folder?

I was able to fix this myself by creating a clientlib, using jquery to lookup the elements and manually removing them. Here is the clientlib:
(function(document, $) {
$(document).ready(function(){
var $path = $("[data-type='path']");
var $filetype =$("[data-type='options']");
var $filesize = $("[data-type='filesize']");
if($path.length == 0){
return;
}
//defined in /libs/dam/gui/content/assets/jcr:content/body/content/aside/items/search
var ASSET_RAIL_SEARCH = "#aem-assets-rail-search";
var doSearch = function(){
//$path.remove();
if (window.location.href.indexOf("content/dam/geometrixx/portraits") > -1) {
$filesize.remove();
$filetype.remove();
} else {
// remove custm properties.
}
};
if($.cookie("endor.innerrail.current") == ASSET_RAIL_SEARCH){
doSearch();
}
$(document).on('click', '.js-endor-innerrail-toggle', function(e) {
doSearch();
});
});
})(document, Granite.$);

How to add and edit a short answer in multiple google forms

So I have multiple google forms (around 20 forms), that I need to do 2 things to them:
1- These 20 forms are placed in a folder in my google drive. I need to add more like an "Access code" where users will have to insert in order to continue the solving the quiz.
The way I did that was to add a "short answer" question to "section 1" of the quiz asking "Enter your Access Code", add "response validation", "Regular expression" and "Pattern". Also making this a "required question". This should look something like the below picture
Example of google form
So is it possible to have a scriptto add this question to all 20 forms
2- The "access code" in these google forms will have to be updated frequently, so I don' want to be updating the "Pattern" manually for each form, is t possible to have a google script to edit the value of the pattern for each form
Thanks in advance guys :)
I managed to solve this issue that I was having, through looking for different codes and here are the codes that I used.
N.B. The codes might not be very clean as I was copying them from other parts/projects, but they have worked for me
1- Update the 20 forms with adding the access code question, I figured it was not possible to add a question at a certain position in the google form, however I can add a question at the end of the form and then move this item to the position I want:
function AddAccesscodeQ() {
var filess = DriveApp.getFolderById("Drive id>").getFiles();
while (filess.hasNext()) {
var file = filess.next();
var form = FormApp.openById(file.getId());
var sectionIndex= 0; // Please set the index you want to insert.
//I added a "sample item" to be moved and edited later
var newItemQ = form.addTextItem().setTitle("New sample item").getIndex(); // New sample item
// I added a Pagebreak that also should be moved after the questions "Enter Your Access Code"
var newItemPB = form.addPageBreakItem().getIndex();
var items = form.getItems(FormApp.ItemType.PAGE_BREAK);
var sections = [0];
for (var i = 0; i < items.length; i++) {
// I pushed the items in the google form twice downwards, to be able to move the "sample item" and "Page break" to the top of the form
sections.push(items[i].getIndex());
sections.push(items[i].getIndex());
}
var insertIndex = sections[sectionIndex + 1] || null;
if (insertIndex) {
// Here I moved the 2 new items to the desired positions
form.moveItem(newItemQ, 0);
form.moveItem(newItemPB, 1);
}
// Here I am going to edit the "Sample Question" to be as desired
var itemss = form.getItems();
var itemID = itemss[0].getId();
var itemse = form.getItemById(itemID).asTextItem()
.setTitle('Enter Your Access Code').setRequired(true);
//Create validation rule
var validation = FormApp.createTextValidation()
.setHelpText('Invalid Code')
.requireTextMatchesPattern("<Access Code>")
.build();
itemse.setValidation(validation);
}
}
2- The second problem was that I later might need to change this access code to a new one for the 20 forms
function UpdateAccessCode() {
var filesPhCH = DriveApp.getFolderById("<Drive ID>").getFiles();
while (filesPhCH.hasNext()) {
var file = filesPhCH.next();
var form = FormApp.openById(file.getId());
var items = form.getItems();
//Loop through the items and list them
for (var i = 0;i<items.length;i++){
var item = items[i];
var itemID = item.getId();
var itemtitle = item.getTitle();
var itemindex = item.getIndex();
// I found no need to continue the for loop since the items that need modification are at the top of the form
if (itemindex == 0){
break;
}
}
//Select the question you want to update
var itemse = form.getItemById(itemID).asTextItem()
.setTitle('Enter Your Access Code');
//Create validation rule
var validation = FormApp.createTextValidation()
//.setTitle('Enter Your Access Code');
.setHelpText('Invalid Code')
.requireTextMatchesPattern("<Enter the new Access Code>")
.build();
itemse.setValidation(validation);
}
}
I hope this might help someone as it has saved a lot of time for me ;)

how to add protractor locator for add click function in this menu

I have two menus 'Setup' and 'Reports' with sub-menus 'admin users','Reports dashboard','partner dashboard','partner relationship' etc marked with red color.
I want to navigate or click using protractor locators but unable to find how to select these menus that have no id and common CSS. I want something like this
var userTypes = element.all(by.repeater('t in user_userTypes'));</br>
userTypes.get(2).click()
From what I see, these elements are navigation menu items, Setup and Reports are high-level menus and Admin Users, Reports Dashboard, Partner dashboard, Partner Relationship and Grading Data are submenus. To open a submenu, I assume, you should click the appropriate menu.
Let's make a reusable function that would accept a menu label and a desired submenu label and use by.repeater() locator filtering the menus by text:
function selectMenu(menuLabel, submenuLabel) {
var menu = element.all(by.repeater("mi in menuItems")).filter(function (menu) {
return menu.all(by.tagName("a")).first().getText().then(function (text) {
return text.indexOf(menuLabel) === 0;
});
}).first();
menu.click(); // open up menu
var submenu = menu.all(by.repeater("s in mi.subMenuItems")).filter(function (submenu) {
return submenu.all(by.tagName("a")).first().getText().then(function (text) {
return text.indexOf(submenuLabel) === 0;
});
}).first();
submenu.click(); // select submenu
}
Usage samples:
selectMenu("Setup", "Admin Users");
selectMenu("Reports", "Reports Dashboard");
Define a method and pass the 'hrefValue', filter by anchor tag.
var clickParticular = function(hrefValue){
element.all(by.tagName('a')).filter(function(element, index) {
return element.getAttribute('href').then(function (text) {
return text === hrefValue;
});
}).then(function(filteredElements) {
filteredElements[0].click().then(function() {
});
});
}

Using search feature in Ionic framework

I am a UI person and very new to ionic framework.. I wanted to add search feature in my android app built using Ionic framework. After a research i found that I will need to use this plugin https://github.com/djett41/ionic-filter-bar. but there is no detail documentation available. Can anyone please guide how to use this plugin working. I have made all setup but stuck with actual code.
First of all you must install the plugin. You can use bower for that:
bower install ionic-filter-bar --save
and it will copy all the javascript and css needed in the lib folder inside www.
Then you must add the references to the css to your index.html:
<link href="lib/ionic-filter-bar/dist/ionic.filter.bar.css" rel="stylesheet">
same thing for the javascript:
<script src="lib/ionic-filter-bar/dist/ionic.filter.bar.js"></script>
You have to inject the module jett.ionic.filter.bar you your main module:
var app = angular.module('app', [
'ionic',
'jett.ionic.filter.bar'
]);
and you must reference the service $ionicFilterBar in your controller:
angular.module('app')
.controller('home', function($scope, $ionicFilterBar){
});
Now you can start using it.
In my sample I want to trigger the search-box when the user clicks/taps on a icon in the header. I would add this HTML to the view:
<ion-nav-buttons side="secondary">
<button class="button button-icon icon ion-ios-search-strong" ng-click="showFilterBar()">
</button>
</ion-nav-buttons>
The action trigger an event in my controller showFilterBar:
$scope.showFilterBar = function () {
var filterBarInstance = $ionicFilterBar.show({
cancelText: "<i class='ion-ios-close-outline'></i>",
items: $scope.places,
update: function (filteredItems, filterText) {
$scope.places = filteredItems;
}
});
};
which creates the $ionicFilterBar and shows it.
As you can see here I am using an array of objects $scope.places
$scope.places = [{name:'New York'}, {name: 'London'}, {name: 'Milan'}, {name:'Paris'}];
which I have linked to the items member of my $ionicFilterBar. The update method will give me in filteredItems the items (places) filtered.
You can play with this plunker.
Another option is to use the plugin to actually fetch some data remotely through $http.
If we want to achieve this we can use the update function again.
Now we don't need to bind the items to our array of objects cause we won't need the filtered elements.
We will use the filterText to perform some action:
$scope.showFilterBar = function () {
var filterBarInstance = $ionicFilterBar.show({
cancelText: "<i class='ion-ios-close-outline'></i>",
// items: $scope.places,
update: function (filteredItems, filterText) {
if (filterText) {
console.log(filterText);
$scope.fetchPlaces(filterText);
}
}
});
};
We will call another function which will, maybe, call $http and return some data which we can bind to our array of objects:
$scope.fetchPlaces = function(searchText)
{
$scope.places = <result of $http call>;
}
Another plunker here.
PS:
If you want to configure it using some sort of customization you must do it in your configuration using the provider $ionicFilterBarConfigProvider:
angular.module('app')
.config(function($ionicFilterBarConfigProvider){
$ionicFilterBarConfigProvider.clear('ion-ios-close-empty');
})
PPS:
In my plunker I've included the css and the script directly copying it from the source.
UPDATE:
Someone asked not to replace the list with the updated one.
My cheap and dirty solution is to check if the filterText contains some values. If it's empty (no searches) we go throught each element an set a property found = false otherwise we compare the places array we the filteredItems array.
Matching elements will be marked as found.
function allNotFound(filteredItems) {
angular.forEach($scope.places, function(item){
item.found = false;
});
}
function matchingItems(filteredItems) {
angular.forEach($scope.places, function(item){
var found = $filter('filter')(filteredItems, {name: item.name});
if (found && found.length > 0) {
console.log('found', item.name);
item.found = true;
} else {
item.found = false;
console.log('not found', item.name);
}
});
and now we can integrate the filter bar this way:
$scope.showFilterBar = function () {
var filterBarInstance = $ionicFilterBar.show({
cancelText: "<i class='ion-ios-close-outline'></i>",
items: $scope.places,
update: function (filteredItems, filterText) {
if (!filterText) {
allNotFound();
} else {
matchingItems(filteredItems);
}
}
});
};
We can use the found attribute of the object to change the style of the element.
As always, a Plunker to show how it works.
Ionic uses Angular, and Angular include an atributte filter very useful. Look this: https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/filter/filter and the example there. Regards

Dojo drag and drop, how do we save the position

After dojo drag and drop, once the page is submitted, I have to save the position of every item that has been placed into "targetZone". How can we save the position?
Eugen answered it here :
Dojo Drag and drop: how to retrieve order of items?
That would be the right way. If you look at the link above, you can save the resulting "orderedDataItems" object as a JSON ...
Look at the following function. It saves our DND "Lightbox" (dojo.dnd.source) to a JSON.
_it is the current raw dnd item
_it.data.item contains all your stuff you need to keep
in our case _it.data.item.label keeps the customized nodes (pictures, video, docs) as a string, we can use later to dojo.place it
it is the dnd item you want to save without dom nodes
E.g. if you drop items from a dijit tree to a arbitrary dojo dnd source / target:
_RAM or _S in our data.item we made before needs to be overwritten.
LBtoJson: function(){
var that = this;
var orderedLBitems = this.dndSource.getAllNodes().map(function(node){
var _it = that.dndSource.getItem(node.id);
var it = { data:{ item:{} }, label:'', type:'' };
if((_it.data.item._RAM)){_it.data.item._RAM={}}
if((_it.data.item._S)){_it.data.item._S={}}
it.data.item = dojo.clone(_it.data.item);
it.label = it.data.item.label[0]||it.data.item.label;
it.type = _it.type;
console.log( it );
return it;
});
var LBjson = dojo.toJson(orderedLBitems);
return LBjson;
}
By calling getAllNodes(), you'll receive a list of nodes in the order they are shown. So if you wanted to save a list in a specific order, you could do something similar to this:
var data;
var nodes = dndSrc.getAllNodes();
for(var i; i < nodes.length; i++)
{
data.push({id: nodes[i].id, order: i});
}

YUI AutoComplete Example Problem

I was hunting for an implementations of YUI AutoComplete and I came across this script from the site asklaila.com -
<script type="text/JavaScript">
YAHOO.example.ACJson = new function() {
this.oACDS = new YAHOO.widget.DS_XHR("/AutoComplete.do",
["Suggestions[0].Results","Name"]);
this.oACDS.queryMatchContains = true;
this.oACDS.scriptQueryAppend = "city=Mysore"; // Needed for YWS
function fnCallback(e, args) {
document.searchForm.where.focus();
acSelected = true;
return false;
}
this.oAutoComp = new YAHOO.widget.AutoComplete('what','whatContainer', this.oACDS);
this.oAutoComp.itemSelectEvent.subscribe(fnCallback);
this.oAutoComp.formatResult = function (oResultItem,sQuery) {
return oResultItem[0];
}
this.oAutoComp.queryDelay = 0;
this.oAutoComp.useIFrame = true;
this.oAutoComp.prehighlightClassName = "yui-ac-prehighlight";
this.oAutoComp.minQueryLength = 2;
this.oAutoComp.autoHighlight = false;
this.oAutoComp.textboxFocusEvent.subscribe(function() {
this.oAutoComp.sendQuery("");
});
this.oAutoComp.doBeforeExpandContainer = function(oTextbox, oContainer, sQuery, aResults) {
var pos = YAHOO.util.Dom.getXY(oTextbox);
pos[1] += YAHOO.util.Dom.get(oTextbox).offsetHeight + 2;
YAHOO.util.Dom.setXY(oContainer,pos);
return true;
};
}
</script>
It is implenting the YUI AutoComplete Dropdown. What I want to understand is what this
this.oACDS = new YAHOO.widget.DS_XHR("/AutoComplete.do", ["Suggestions[0].Results","Name"]);
does and its effects on code.
That's using an older version of YUI, but it is setting up a DataSource for the autocomplete to read from. This particular DataSource uses XHR to request information from the server to populate the autocomplete field.
"Autocomplete.do"
Is a relative URL that is being queried by the DataSource every time the autocomplete fires while the user is typing.
["Suggestions[0].Results","Name"]
Is the responseSchema that tells the DataSource how to parse the results from the request to the URL. It needs to know how to parse the data so that it can show the proper results.
this.oACDS = new YAHOO.widget.DS_XHR("/AutoComplete.do", ["Suggestions[0].Results","Name"]);
On every key press, it fetches a json response from the server, and uses it to populate the autocomplete dropdown. The json contains names to display only at this node, "Suggestions[0].Results" in the "name" field.
If you have any trouble, ask ahead. I wrote that piece of code for asklaila.com
I was hunting for implementations of
YUI Autocomplete and I came across
this script...
Why not take a look at YUI AutoComplete page for in-depth examples.
