I am using Spring boot application to develop Postgresql based application using Eclipse IDE(openjdk version 1.8.0_151)
I have configured gradle as follows:
compile group: 'org.postgresql', name: 'postgresql', version: '42.1.4'
compile group: 'org.springframework.boot', name: 'spring-boot-starter-jdbc'
I am using Spring JdbcTemplate to access database. Everything works perfect in Eclipse IDE. I want to create a war file and deploy into Tomcat 9 server. But unfortunately, I got the following error message:

I have copied Postgresql driver (postgresql-42.1.4.jar) into $CATALINA_HOME/lib directory also, that also did not help.

So on Spring Cloud Streams : Overview they have the following then the version is labelled as Horsham.SR8 [3.0.8 RELEASE]:
But then this comment says Hoxton.SR5
However, currently in my application where I'm attempting to upgrade from Spring 2.1.X and Spring Cloud Greenwich to Spring 2.3.3 and Spring Cloud ? (currently Hoston.SR8) I get the following:

What version of spring-cloud-function-context do you have on the classpath?
I created a new Boot 2.3.3/Hoxton.SR8 app this morning and I see that class in spring-cloud-function-context-3.0.10.RELEASE.jar which should automatically be picked up.
I am working on Rundeck POC for migrating jobs from Jenkins. But when I used oracle as backend to the rundeck I am getting the following exception:
Rundeck version: Rundeck 3.1.2-20190927

Since Rundeck 3, the Oracle Dialect is out of the box, just need to configure the database and Rundeck to use it. For example, the following config at rundeck-config.properties works without adding nothing special (only the oracle JDBC at /var/lib/rundeck/lib directory)
dataSource.url = jdbc:oracle:thin:#192.168.33.30:1521:xe
dataSource.driverClassName = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
dataSource.username = rundeckuser
dataSource.password = rundeckpass
dataSource.dialect = org.rundeck.hibernate.RundeckOracleDialect
dataSource.properties.validationQuery = SELECT 1 FROM DUAL
Take a look at this:
https://docs.rundeck.com/docs/administration/configuration/database/oracle.html
I tried to analyze a DB2 database with SchemaSpy, but got a warning 'Connection Failure'. I tried this way:
java -jar schemaspy-6.0.0.jar -configFile schemaspy.properties --logging.pattern.console="%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} %clr(%-5level) - %msg%n" --logging.level.org.schemaspy=TRACE
(found the logging part on https://github.com/schemaspy/schemaspy/issues/250)
The .properties file looks like this:
schemaspy.t=db2
schemaspy.dp=C:\tmp\db2jcc.jar
schemaspy.host=**host**
schemaspy.port=50000
schemaspy.db=**db**
schemaspy.u=**user**
schemaspy.p=**password**
schemaspy.o=D:\**\schemaspy-output\
schemaspy.s=**schema**
The error I got was:

I guess, the error comes from the wrong class path? But how can I fix this? I tried to change the line in db2.properties
driver=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
to
driver=COM.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
, because I extracted this class path from the driver's .jar flie, but it did not help.
this worked for me using db2jcc.jar
# type of database. Run with -dbhelp for details
schemaspy.t=db2
# optional path to alternative jdbc drivers.
schemaspy.dp=/lib/db2jcc.jar
# database properties: host, port number, name user, password
schemaspy.host=xxxxxx
schemaspy.port=xxxxx
schemaspy.db=xxx
schemaspy.u=xx
schemaspy.p=xx
# output dir to save generated files
schemaspy.o=/output
# db scheme for which generate diagrams
schemaspy.s=xxxx
driver=com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
connectionSpec=jdbc:db2://xxx.xx.x.xxx:[PORT]/[DBNAME]
schemaspy.cat=%
The command used:
java -jar schemaspy-6.1.0.jar -configFile db2.properties --logging.pattern.console="%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} %clr(%-5level) - %msg%n" --logging.level.org.schemaspy=TRACE
After using the jhipster generator, I am able to successfully run the app on my local webserver with a local PostgresQL. Plz excuse my n00bness.. is this by design or am I missing some steps?
It is because of this error and it has been fixed in the latest version.
From the first line in your logs, the Heroku database URL is not configured
Caused by: org.springframework.context.ApplicationContextException: Heroku database URL is not configured, you must set --spring.datasource.heroku-url=$DATABASE_URL
Hopefully the following example will help:

I am trying to run a web application with embedded tomcat including a number of spring batch jobs and the spring batch admin. However when I try to run the generated fat jar I get the following error, can anybody from spring batch or boot team help:
Error registering Tomcat:j2eeType=WebModule,name=//localhost/*,J2EEApplication=none,J2EEServer=none
Adding more information:
Version of spring boot: 1.1.9.RELEASE from spring.io parent pom version 1.0.3.RELEASE
I tried running it from STS as well as using mvn spring-boot:run with the same effect.
The batch jobs read from a file and write to hornetq.

Could you try with a different name, or either escape or quote the name. This should fix the problem.
