After using the jhipster generator, I am able to successfully run the app on my local webserver with a local PostgresQL. I managed to deploy it to Heroku as well, but now when I try to run it locally in IntelliJ (as I have before deployment), (selecting 'dev profile', clicking on spring-boot:run) or running the Application main method,
I receive the following error (Heroku Database url is not configured):

Plz excuse my n00bness.. is this by design or am I missing some steps?
It is because of this error and it has been fixed in the latest version.
From the first line in your logs, the Heroku database URL is not configured
Caused by: org.springframework.context.ApplicationContextException: Heroku database URL is not configured, you must set --spring.datasource.heroku-url=$DATABASE_URL
Hopefully the following example will help:

I wanted to connect to Cassandra using Spark, when trying to connect Cassandra using the default port it is working, but when I try accessing it via SSL the job fails, below is the code:
val spark: SparkSession = SparkSession.builder()
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.host","server.abc")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.port","9142")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.enabled",true)
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.trustStore.path","s3:/dev-code/certs/trust.jks")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.trustStore.password","mypass")
.config("spark.cassandra.auth.username","myuser")
.config("spark.cassandra.auth.password","userpass")
.appName("CassandraIntegration").getOrCreate()
FYI: it has access to the S3 bucket, I am able to read the CSV file from the same location. Also, both the ports are enabled 9042 and 9142. Closed 9042 and kept only 9142 port still the error persists.
Below is the error:

Big help if there is any workaround for this problem.
At the bottom of your error message, I see this:
NoSuchFileException: s3:/dev-code/certs/trust.jks
Alex is right, in that you need to provide a path to that file that the Spark connector can actually get to. From the looks of it, S3 won't work here.
Added the .jks s3 file into "Referenced files path" of Glue Job and then just try to access just provide the file name. As the file will be automatically be placed under /tmp folder. But it will still not solve the issue.
From the this website, I understood that we need to provide all the default values as well:
Below is my final code:
val spark: SparkSession = SparkSession.builder()
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.host","server.abc")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.port","9142")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.enabled",true)
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.enabledAlgorithms", "TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.trustStore.path","trust.jks")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.trustStore.password","mypass")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.trustStore.type","JKS")
.config("spark.cassandra.connection.ssl.protocol","TLS")
.config("spark.cassandra.auth.username","myuser")
.config("spark.cassandra.auth.password","userpass")
.appName("CassandraIntegration").getOrCreate()
I tried to analyze a DB2 database with SchemaSpy, but got a warning 'Connection Failure'. I tried this way:
java -jar schemaspy-6.0.0.jar -configFile schemaspy.properties --logging.pattern.console="%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} %clr(%-5level) - %msg%n" --logging.level.org.schemaspy=TRACE
(found the logging part on https://github.com/schemaspy/schemaspy/issues/250)
The .properties file looks like this:
schemaspy.t=db2
schemaspy.dp=C:\tmp\db2jcc.jar
schemaspy.host=**host**
schemaspy.port=50000
schemaspy.db=**db**
schemaspy.u=**user**
schemaspy.p=**password**
schemaspy.o=D:\**\schemaspy-output\
schemaspy.s=**schema**

I guess, the error comes from the wrong class path? But how can I fix this? I tried to change the line in db2.properties
driver=COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
to
driver=COM.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
, because I extracted this class path from the driver's .jar flie, but it did not help.
this worked for me using db2jcc.jar
# type of database. Run with -dbhelp for details
schemaspy.t=db2
# optional path to alternative jdbc drivers.
schemaspy.dp=/lib/db2jcc.jar
# database properties: host, port number, name user, password
schemaspy.host=xxxxxx
schemaspy.port=xxxxx
schemaspy.db=xxx
schemaspy.u=xx
schemaspy.p=xx
# output dir to save generated files
schemaspy.o=/output
# db scheme for which generate diagrams
schemaspy.s=xxxx
driver=com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
connectionSpec=jdbc:db2://xxx.xx.x.xxx:[PORT]/[DBNAME]
schemaspy.cat=%
The command used:
java -jar schemaspy-6.1.0.jar -configFile db2.properties --logging.pattern.console="%d{HH:mm:ss.SSS} %clr(%-5level) - %msg%n" --logging.level.org.schemaspy=TRACE
I am trying to bring up my tomcat server on which OpenAM is installed but the server fails on startup because the Policy Agent installed on the same server is trying to access a naming service on the same server.
I am just in the middle of a proof of concept and I am following the instructions given by ForgeRock documentation but I am unable to get this setup working.
Is there a way to run the OpenAM+Policy Agent on the same server? Any help in this would be really really appreciated! Thanks!

I think this part of the documentation is quite relevant:
Do not install the Java EE policy agent in the same container as OpenAM. OpenAM must be up and running before the Java EE policy agent starts. This cannot be guaranteed when both run in the same container. ForgeRock does not support configurations where OpenAM and the Java EE policy agent are installed in the same container.

Anyone have any idea how I fix this or what I am doing wrong?
Probably a bug: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/issues/686. Maybe a classloader thing, I'm not sure, but we'll look at it and update here when it's fixed. You should be able to use the Gradle or Maven build to create an executable JAR in the meantime.
Update: we might be able to fix this in Spring Boot and/or GORM, but in the meantime if you just declare a package in your app.groovy (e.g. package app) it should work.
Im using XWIKI ENTERPRISE 2.5 and want to upgrade it to 4.4 or 4.3 (stable)
I found this upgrade documentation for XWiki. Following the guide, I backed up the important files in WEB-INF.
After that, I copied all the files from the new .war to my wiki directory (/var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/xwiki). Then, I moved back the important files and overwrote the new files.
I get this error message, when I visit my wiki page:

When you say that
I copied all the files from the new .war to my wiki directory
Did you copy the new files over the existing directory? You're supposed to delete everything from the old version and use only the files from the new version, and only copy from the backup the essential configuration files. Also, note that you're not supposed to just copy the old configuration, but merge your custom settings into the default new configuration.
The root error in the stack trace:
Caused by: org.infinispan.jmx.JmxDomainConflictException: Domain already registered org.xwiki.infinispan
suggest a duplicate jar. The other case when this could occur is when you have more than one instance of XWiki in the same container, in which case you should edit WEB-INF/cache/infinispan/config.xml, and replace the line jmxDomain="org.xwiki.infinispan" with a unique value, like jmxDomain="org.xwiki.infinispan.wiki1" and jmxDomain="org.xwiki.infinispan.wiki2" for the two instances.
I've been having the same problem when upgrading from 4.0-rc-1 to 4.4 or 4.5. I have no duplicate jars nor am I running several instances of XWiki. It may be there is an issue either in infinispan or in XWiki's cache implementation.
A temporary workaround is to allow duplicate domains explicitly in config.xml :
<globalJmxStatistics
[...]
allowDuplicateDomains="true" />
