show phone case in iphone simulator - iphone

I'm using xCode7.3 and I need to stay with it. I cannot expand it with mouse dragging.
How can I got phone case like
Now I got something like :

You can't get any kind of "phone case" in the simulator with Xcode 7 or 8. The simulator in Xcode 9 now shows the bezel but it's still not photo realistic like your 1st photo.
To get something like your first photo you need to combine a screenshot with the official product images from Apple found at https://developer.apple.com/app-store/marketing/guidelines/#images

How to put iPhone's screen onto mac in Xcode

I watched a tutorial, what that guy did on his iPhone, appeared in Xcode simultaneously, and just like in a simulator. How to do that? THX.
Open QuickTime Player,
File>New Movie Recording
Besides Record button(on the Quick Time Player), there is down arrow.
Click on down arrow and select iPhone
There are several possibilities, depending on what exactly you saw in the tutorial.
Live video
If the video was live, there are two things he could have been doing:
Airserver, etc. (blue bar)
He could have been using an AirPlay Mirroring server app to use Airplay Mirroring on the iPhone to show his screen directly onto the Mac's screen. This is the most probable method.
Simulator (no blue bar)
He could have actually been using the simulator, unless he specifically said he was using a device. There are apps you can use to make your mouse look like a finger on the simulator's display. Slightly unlikely.
Still pictures
This is the more unlikely version of the two, and would mean that all you could see was individual still pictures of the app running on the device.
In the Xcode organizer, you can go to the screenshots tab for a device and take a screenshot of the current display of the device. Highly unlikely.

Missing Localized Screenshots Error on itunes

I have selected Default Language as "Australian English" as Default language. When I am submitting the binary it showing as rejected"Red Icon" with status "Missing Localized Screenshots". The application is in only single language. I have added screen shots also the application is only for iphone.
When I am looking binary information that is showing as:
Localizations : ( "en-AU" )
Please suggest me where I am making mistake.
Check if you have screenshots for iPhone 5. I had this same error, when screenshots for iP5 were missing.
Basically the error telling you that you need to upload the iPhone5 device screen shot(at least one screen shot).
So solution of the problem:
1.Either you can upload the screen shots for iPhone5 Device . OR
2.You can just removed the Default-568h.png from your binary , in this case your application just run in the "letterbox" mode on iPhone5 Device.
So which ever is easy for you just adopt it .
I adopted the second one when i face the problem.
HAPPY TO HELP:):)
Just make sure to upload iPhone 5's screen shots .My app wasn't made for iphone 5 but I ran it on iphone 5 simulator and took screen shots and uploaded and every thing went ok.
All above answers seems right, but this can happen too if you have NO screenshots for 3.5" - RETINA, beware.
If you already have screenshots for 3-in & 4-in, add a single screenshot for iPad and that should fix your problem. The iPad shot is compulsory.
Issue has been solved still posting may be it help someone. Please follow below steps:
1- Upload 5.5 inch display screenshots.
2- Click on "Device Manager".
3- Here you will have list of screen sizes with the options to expand on left side and a check box on right hand side "Use 5.5-Inch Display","Use 4.7-Inch Display".... and so on. Click on these checkboxes if you don't want to use different images than 5.5 inch display screenshots else upload new images here with correct dimensions.
4- Click save.
In my case, I had the iPhone 5 (4" display) screenshots, but it also wanted 3.5" retina screenshots.
I added these, and the app went into 'Waiting for Review' state without further action.
I had the same problem, my solution was to change "Devices" in Development target only to iPhone (bacause i insert screens only for iPhone):
There is nothing wrong with your app - you need to add the screenshots from the iTunes Connect metadata and uploads section.
Once I'd added these in all went through and the app won't automatically flagged as missing localized screenshots.
Not the best of messages, but not wildly inaccurate.
I had this problem and mine was a Universal iOS app made in GameSalad Creator, you need screenshots for all the relevant screens even if it lets you progress without them.
I had changed the name of the app in the previous version and it choked on that. I changed the name of the app back to what it was and it went through fine..

IPhone 4 and 5 different resolutions: problems

Sorry, perhaps because I'm not English, I don't know, but I cannot find any resource to a couple of questions; maybe I'm using not the correct words..
I would like to know something more about the different resolutions of the iPhone 4 and 5.
First of all: how can I tell my iPhone Simulator to simulate the "letterbox" graphics if I develop an app optimized for iPhone 4 resolution??
I would like to see how it appears but I have not the iPhone 5 yet
Second: what happens on the iPhone 4 if I design an app for the iPhone 5 resolution?
I mean, what does an iPhone 4 user see??
Can you please recommend me something article or similar to learn something more about these problematics?
Thanks
EDIT
I was making right!
The only things that makes the app running in letterbox mode with IOS 6 + iPhone 5 is the presence of the Default-568h#2x.png file for the splash screen.
I restar both the iPhone5 and Xcode, clean the project and compile it again. It works.
First: There are different simulators for each iPhone type. To change between them, open the simulator. Go to the Hardware menu bar item, then change which you want under device.
Second: You should be designing interfaces that scale however you can determine if you have a larger screen and change how it looks on the iPhone 5. If you are using standard components Xcode will try and upscale everything to look proper. However you should test to make sure it looks how you want on each device.

Dimensions + Name for Launch Screen and icon for iPhone 4 in XCode

I have the Default.png for iPhone 3GS and older models. I was just wondering what is the name of the launch screen for iPhone 4 and what is the name of the icon for iphone 4. I am pretty sure the launch screen is Default#X.png but i cant remember. I do not have an idea of what the icon could be. ALSO, if I dont incorporate the iphone 4 launch screen or icon will the launch screen and icon show up on the iphone anyways, just more blurry? I do not want to get a reject from apple. Thank you.
Please see apple's documentation . This QA section also is very informative. See this also..
Add a #2x to the name and use 640x960 as resulution for the launch screen.
You can find informations about the Icon dimensions here (German, but the important part is the table with the dimensions)

How to add images to iphone simulator v4

I've always been able to get images into iphone simulator 3 by the usual methods described on this site (i.e. dragging image into iphone simulator).
However, having upgarded to the new xcode 3.2.3, although I can still save images to the simulator, I can't actually see them there when I go to the library on the simulator.
Thankfully - it works when I build for the iPad simulator.
Has anyone else go this problem or is my install of the new xcode screwy?
I've noticed that you can add them if you change the device in the Hardware menu. Switch to iPhone and do the usual. Then switch back to iPhone4 and you'll be able to see the images in the photo library.

You should also file a radar with Apple. ;-)
I was had the same problem after v4 upgrade but it seems to work if I drag the images into an album in the actual 'photos' app.
You can save images in the simulator by going to Safari on the iPhone,iPad.
Navigate to some URL eg, hot pictures of Megan Fox on google images. Click and hold on your favourite image of here, hopefully in a very hot pose. Then select save from the menu that appears.
This normally does it for me.
[UPDATED]
Sorry this does not work on 3.2.2 but has worked in the past.
Seems that you need to run the Photos app on the simulator after dragging in images in order for it to make the images available from your app.
First you simply run simulator then tap on back button after this drag image from your macbook u found small image on simulator screen hold courser on image
after a while bring a pop-up screenView on iPhone simulator screen to ask that you want to save this image or cancel
you just save and go back
open photo gallery you must be see one image in photo gallery
