I need to set up a reminder in a channel, but this reminder should not send a notification to all the people in the channel but only to a particular subset.
I tried what shown below.
/reminder #user1 #user2 #user3 A message every 30 days
But when I verify it, slack add " after the first user, which tells me that the reminder would be sent only to the first user and not the others.
I will remind #user1 “#user2 #user3 A message” at 9AM Monday, April 1st.
Will slack send the notification only to user1 or to all them? (As mentioned).
Does Slack have the feature to send reminders to multiple users without disturbing the whole channel?
We don't want to create a separate channel.

Slack will only notify the first user you mention in the remind command.
Slack's reminder command supports only Users and Channels so you cannot create a group to notify a large group of people.
You will probably have to create a separate channel to notify them or create a bot using slack that does that if you want to create a special integration for that

If it is a recurring group of people that you usually want to notify together, you can add them to a group and notify the group.

Official Source saying /remind supports groups

I have an issue I would like some advice on..
I am trying to merge multiple google calendars into one, so that all events from several ("descendant") accounts (e.g. test1#google.com, test2#google.com) are always synced in the "mother" account (e.g. mother#google.com).
I have multiple accounts at clients from which I have to send invites for people to book a meeting. The problem is that now they cant see the other times i am booked for my other accounts. That is why I need to be able to merge all of them together into the mother account so that all my appointments for all my accounts can be seen by everyone.
So to be clear, I need people to see my events in the calendar test1#google.com, when I've send an invite from test2#google.com. Preferably all accounts (test1, test2) are merged and synced/updated in real time in my main account mother#google.com.
Does anybody have any tips on how to get there? Any help is appreciated!
Thank you!!
I'm trying to solve the same problem - the only solution I have found so far relies on using a 3rd party website - you can make a calendar with various sub-calendars merging into it, then share access to it with differing permissions. https://teamup.com
The free account is probably enough for what you need.

I'm working on a app which sends notifications emails. I know this is stereotypical for spam servers. I know the first question ist "How can I ensure what my server will not be listed as a spam server?" However I believe I should monitor my mailserver to ensure what every customer becomes his mails.
So the question: How can I check/monitor whether my server is listed as a spam server?
I really appreciate your help.
MXtoolbox (disclosure: I hold no relation to this site) has a great blacklist checking tool that checks all the major blacklists.
As for staying off them, make sure all your e-mails are opt-in and have an unsubscribe link within the e-mail body of every notification sent. Keep a record of all clients opting in, some hosting companies will charge you a small fortune if you get their IPs blacklisted.

This Message Contains Blocked Content, unblocking the app [closed]

So we wrote an app & integrated it within our service as a feature for users to share their check-ins on their wall (ours is a location based check-in service). Integration runs on SMS (offline token) and Android (SDK integration).
We ran this well for the last 2-3 weeks, but got a 400 response earlier today, with this message
"Warning: This Message Contains Blocked Content: Some content in this message has been reported as abusive by Facebook users.","type":"OAuthException","code":368"
This has affected our integration on SMS (Android works fine). And we reckon it's because the messages being posted when users shared via SMS were akin i.e. same parameters being passed by a user, very frequently in a day, for essentially performing the same action (of a check in).
So my question, or plea for help really is: what do we need to do to get our app unblocked? who do we need to speak to? and what measures to put in place to ensure this never happens again?

We've received an automated message "Our systems have flagged your app <> for receiving a high amount of negative user feedback. Accordingly, we might be forced to place a temporary restriction on your app in order to protect the user experience on Platform. We ask you to promptly address this issue within 48 hours of the sending of this notice, after which our automated systems will evaluate your app once again. Please note we reserve the right to take action against your app even before the end of this 48 hour period.
Specifically, users are responding negatively to Stream stories from their friends using your app."
We're struggling to triage and rectify this ASAP. We're not aware of any engineering change that would introduce an issue and we manage a news-style website from which a user can share any number of stories. BUT we can't find anything in insight that gives us an idea if a specific story was shared and is the root cause of being reported as spam.
IS anybody aware of how one might "drill down" within insight and get down to the metadata regarding the specific posts being flagged/reported?

I need a total email system for my web application.
Newsletter delivery once per month.
Notifications when a user has registered with the web app or performed an action within it.
There will be approx 200,000 subscribers to the newsletter running over a period of 4 months sending 1 email per month.
There will be approx 500,000 notification emails sent over the 4 months.
Currently my web app infrastructure is based around a load balanced system which makes it difficult to send the notification emails reliably regarding reverse DNS... is there a clever way around this?
I'm looking at Campaign Monitor for the newsletter management and postmarkapp for the notification emails but pricing seems quite expensive. Is there a service which can combine both of these requirements? Or any other recommendations?
You might want to stick with separating the two just because you don't want to have your emails get mixed up when you are sending them. This is largely in terms of deliverability - if you have customers clicking on "Spam" for your bulk emails, it might affect their ability to receive your transactional emails or emails in general.
I prefer MailChimp over Campaign Monitor because of how awesome their service is and the sort of metrics you get back for newsletters.
I am the Product Manager of PostageApp, so if you have any further questions about what you are trying to do, feel free to reach out and let me know if I can answer anything for you.
