How to center only one element in a row of 2 elements in flutter - flutter

In my layout I have two Widgets in a row, one text and the an icon.
As shown below, assume that * refers to the icon, and using "-" to represent the row:

How do I make my text centered in the entire row, and the icon to the right end ?

The main thing you need to notice is that if you don't want to use Stack you should provide same width-consuming widgets both on left and right.
I would do this with either Expanded and Padding

Simply use Expanded and Spacer widgets on left/right side and put your widget inside the Expanded:

For my case, I solved my centering problem by adjusting the flex property of the Spacer widget -

Add another icon in the start and set the opacity to zero.

I can't get this to layout properly.

Flutter/Dart row is not centering within the remaining space

I am trying to center a group of objects within a row using Flutter/Dart. I have tried various methods and all have failed. I want the icon to be to the left of the screen and the remaining variables (trips, followers, and following) to be centered in the remaining space. I have tried it a variety of ways using the MainAxisAlignment and CrossAxisAlignment classes based on some solutions I found on SO but none have worked. What am I doing wrong?

You want to evenly distribute the space right from the icon between the three texts, right?
I would solve this by wrapping the 3 widgets in another row for the rest of the space without the icon and then wrapp the Text in an expanded widget that fills the rest of the space.
i assume that trips, followers and following are columns.

How to use space between and Text in Row?

I am trying to use space between to separate two Text widgets but none of mainAxisAlignment options works.

Explanation
It is about where you place Expanded instances.
You have a row, which can fill its parent if it included an Expanded child. So we defined the size of one of its children (Container), and the other is simply Expanded. The same goes for the Column child ..

Flutter: Trying to bottom-center an item in a Column, but it keeps left-aligning

I'm trying to bottom-center a widget at the bottom of a Column, but it keeps aligning to the left.

The existence of the Positioned forces the Container to the left, instead of centering. Removing the Positioned, however, puts the Container in the middle-center.
Align is the way to go if you have only one child.
If you have more, consider doing something like this:

Spacer is an option no one mentioned yet; it is used in case you prefer not to use Positioned / Align.
Align works if you want to specify the alignment of a child inside a parent. Use it anywhere but directly inside Stack
Positioned is similar to Align, but works only under Stack directly.
