How to fix "⚠️Configuring INFO failed." when trying to set ROOT logger level in Spring Boot Admin? - spring-boot-admin

When clicking the INFO button for the ROOT logger, I'm seeing the error ⚠️Configuring INFO failed..
I'm also seeing that the Reset button is grayed out.
Setting and resetting the log level for other classes and packages works fine.
I'm seeing that logging.level.root is set in application.yml. Is such a setting enough to prevent it from getting set from Spring Boot Admin?

Spring Boot Admin not resolving URLS for health and manage

Spring Version: 5.0.8.RELEASE
Spring Boot Dependencies Version: 2.0.4.RELEASE
Java Version: 1.8.0_131
Spring Boot Admin reports that a client is down. However I can see that the client is running by navigating to it in the browser. On the details view for the client in Sprint Boot Admin the message under the health section is "Fetching health failed, Network Error". There are three URLs shown in the header of the details page:
http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting
http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting/manage
http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting/manage/health
Clicking them opens the respective views. Here is the output from the health view:
{"status":"UP","details":{"diskSpace":{"status":"UP","details":{"total":80482930688,"free":77726302208,"threshold":10485760}},"db":{"status":"UP","details":{"tenantRoutingDataSource":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"userSetTenantRoutingDS":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"dataSourceCbCommon":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"dataSourceCbOrg":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}}}}}}
It seems to be telling me that the client application is up and running. So I am not sure why Sprint Boot Admin UI is not reflecting that.
I have a second application running as a client and its working as expected. The result of the health URL is the same.
{"status":"UP","details":{"diskSpace":{"status":"UP","details":{"total":80482930688,"free":77726248960,"threshold":10485760}},"db":{"status":"UP","details":{"tenantRoutingDataSource":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"userSetTenantRoutingDS":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"dataSourceCbCommon":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}},"dataSourceCbOrg":{"status":"UP","details":{"database":"Informix Dynamic Server","hello":104}}}}}}
The Spring Boot Admin Server log shows this error for Work Order Printing. Again, not sure why the URLs are working, but the log shows an error.

So the problem turned out to be a configuration issue on my end. The Admin Server log shows the following:
2018-09-13 09:19:19.071 DEBUG 5208 --- [ parallel-2] d.c.b.a.server.services.StatusUpdater : Update status for Instance(id=6212ad7c5ab4, version=1, registration=Registration(name=Work Order Printing Development, managementUrl=http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting/manage, healthUrl=http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting/manage/health, serviceUrl=http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting, source=http-api), registered=true, statusInfo=StatusInfo(status=DOWN, details={error=Found, status=302}), statusTimestamp=2018-09-13T13:15:08.169Z, info=Info(values={}), endpoints=Endpoints(endpoints={health=Endpoint(id=health, url=http://localhost:8090/WorkOrderPrinting/manage/health)}), buildVersion=null)
Its basically saying that there is a 302 (redirect) happening so it cant reach the URL. The reason for this that I forgot to allow access to the URLs in Spring Security config. I could get to them with the browser because I was logged in. Spring Boot Admin could not, because it was not logged in.
I added a rule to allow access to the /manage/ urls
public void configure(WebSecurity web) throws Exception
{
web.ignoring().antMatchers("/css/**", "/fonts/**", "/img/**", "/js/**", "/close", "/webjars/**", "/manage/**");
}

After doing extensive research I found that C:\ATG\ATG11.2\home\servers\atg_production_lockserver\localconfig\atg\dynamo\server\OPSSInitializer.properties has path for jps-config.xml ie
JPSConfigurationLocation=C:/ATG/ATG11.2/home/../home/security/jps-config.xml
This jps-config.xml has some CSF related configuration.
How can I get rid of this error for successful baseline indexing.
I am stuck on this part.
This happens if you change the default workbench password. Simple solution would be, change Endeca experience manager password back to admin and try.
Otherwise, password needs to be changed in multiple places.
Thanks,
Ajay Agrawal
Go to the OPSSInitializer component in dyn admin and check whether the path for jps-config.xml specified is correct there. If not, correct the path.

Cometd in wildfly8.1.0 no response

I'm trying to deploy a project which utilizes Cometd2.9.1 in Wildfly8.1.0.
The project worked in glassfish4.0, however it won't work in wildfly. It can be deployed with no problem, but it stuck after I visit http://localhost:8080/Cometd3/ (Yes, the project name is Cometd3 while I ended up with cometd2.9.1)
It's weird because there is no error or exception message even I enabled debug log.
Because my log is too long to post here and I have completely no idea what is the problem, please download my log file here.
Please note that the log is just stop at

And there are no other log after those messages.
What's more,when I say it is stuck, I mean not only the server side stuck, but also the browser, which means the browser is totally white and keep loading page when I open it.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
I can answer only from the CometD side of things.
The logs shows some server-side CometD activity (a LocalSession called echo handshakes), but after that it's like there are no requests to the server, so that CometD has nothing to do and just sits idle.
From your description of the problem looks more like a server problem than a CometD problem.
CometD typically runs very well in Jetty; I would try to deploy your application in Jetty and see how it goes.

Jboss shows error with datasource on startup

On starting jboss I am getting the following error :
--- MBEANS THAT ARE THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM ---
ObjectName: jboss.jca:service=DataSourceBinding,name=DefaultDS
State: NOTYETINSTALLED
Depends On Me:
jboss.ejb:service=EJBTimerService,persistencePolicy=database
jboss:service=KeyGeneratorFactory,type=HiLo
jboss.mq:service=StateManager
jboss.mq:service=PersistenceManager
And for all database connections in the servlet I get the following exception :
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: password a
uthentication failed for user "poll"
It was working fine and all of a sudden I started getting these errors. My password is correct. I even tried changing the password and then tried again it showed the same exception. What is happening here?
The DefaultDS data source is what the name suggests; the default datasource. It ships with JBoss and is configured to use the Hypersonic (ie in-memory) database. JBoss uses the DefaultDS datasource to read/write internal queues, timed events, etc
Check the file ../conf/standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml to see what you've got configured for the DefaultDS datasource. It sounds like you've edited that file unintentionally. Unless you need to persist internal queues etc across boots, just leave it as shipped using Hypersonic.
See the JBoss doc for more.
