How to get a github account that no one else uses? - github

I have a github account, and I want to get someone else's account which is registered in 2015, and he created two empty repository, and then he was never used the account again.
What can I do to own this account?
I want to get this username.
Thank you very much!

From this article https://help.github.com/en/articles/github-username-policy
If you would like to request the account name of someone you believe is violating GitHub’s name squatting policy, please follow the steps in the Changing your GitHub username article before contacting Support. Following these steps will help you determine if the desired account name is available for release and guide you towards contacting Support, where applicable.
I think it will depend if GitHub agree that the username in question violates their squatting policy.

Adsense - "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. [or-ieh-01]"

My Adsense was working fine since last 7 years. One fine day I tried to change the bank account from Individual to Company bank account. Since then I am getting the error - "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. [or-ieh-01].
I have tried-
Submitting the valid documents for the new bank account.
Reverting to the old working bank account (with the valid document for that account).
Deleting both the accounts and then try adding any of the bank account.
Neither of the above worked. Now my earned amount is stuck and I cannot use other Ad providers also as they required Google Ad Manager that is linked with a working Adsense account.
Please help me resolve this issue.
You're not the only one. Unluckily this is a known issue since mid-2021 and still unresolved. The cruel truth is, that there seemingly only exists a generic answer to this issue:
Try the path described on the official GooglePay issue fix site. Do exactly as demanded and double-check everything. In most cases that will work.
If that doesn't work contact the GooglePay Support. That's meh but you probably won't have another choice.
Or you might, as written in the official issue post, "try to use another form of payment or bank account for now".
You have my sympathy :-/
Edit: As mentioned in the comments below further ideas would be:
In case you're using it, disable VPN while you're using GooglePay as it seems to lead to conflicts.
Associate a new mail address.
Not sure, how esoteric that is, though. Those ideas came up after talking to friends and some web research.
Have you tried disabling adblocker and trying again?

Unable to access the account after successful profile setup

I was set up as a developer for my employer's business account, and at the same time to have admin access to the account as well. I was able to access it for 2weeks straight and then end of October it says that some info is incorrect and that it can't verify me.
I tried forgetting the password but it isn't working. Called PayPal and PayPal Business but the link that they sent to my employer isn't working. One agent advised that it must be a technical problem and suggested I write here.
I hope someone can help me understand and suggest on ways for me to regain back my access. Thank you.

Why does Github 2FA recovery codes fail?

I am officially blocked with 2FA! I cannot login to my Github account while I was able to do it before using one of the recovery codes. I changed my phone and the authentication app doesn't work on the new one. I used one of the codes before to login and it was successful but now none of the codes are working. I also don't have a recovery token. Does anyone have any idea what to do at this point?
Oct. 2022: see also "How to recover github password without using 2FA credentials".
Apr. 2019: If none of the methods described in "Recovering your account if you lose your 2FA credentials" would work (like a fallback number), then you would need to:
create a new GitHub account
contact GitHub support and see if it is possible to negotiate merging back your old account with this new one.
This situation is problematic for private repos, and GitHub does mention:
For security reasons, GitHub Support may not be able to restore access to accounts with two-factor authentication enabled if you lose your two-factor authentication credentials or lose access to your account recovery methods.
Still, only the support can tell you definitively what is possible in your case.
The OP Rubbic confirms in the comments:
I contacted github and what I ended up doing was creating a new account and they suggested that after six month they can reassign my previous email to the new account.
But I lost my previous projects and everything in it!
Lesson learned: use text message authentication, it's the easiest and safest option.
Wally adds in the comments:
Github replied after a few weeks.
The only thing they could do was to release my email and username from my account.
It is still possible to push through Git Bash and some other third party tools such as TortoiseGit (if those tools had been installed before you lose your 2FA credentials).

Paypal: linking existing Sandbox Account with developer account

I dont have access anymore to the sandbox.paypal.com
In Developer Account I tried:
Want to link existing Sandbox Account with your developer account? *Click here* and provide credentials of your sandbox account.
After few redirections it refuses to sign me in:
Error
Relying Party Validation error: client_ID or redirect_uri provided in the request does not match any of the registered clients. Please check the request.
I've tried with two differents accounts, one of them do not have a live account, and it give me each time the same error without further explanation.
#paypaldev filed a ticket on the issue but I'm not sure what to expect.
Do am I the only one ?
An update here for everyone else as I followed up with François via Twitter. The internal teams were able to track down the issue that was causing the relaying party validation error, and it should now be fixed without needing a workaround. If anyone is still seeing an error, please let me know and I'll circle back with the teams working on the fix.

Modifying name of company of app after approval

Today my app is ready for sale on app store but unfortunately I made a mistake when providing my company name. Is there any way to modify the company name? If anyone has any idea then please share.
Thanks in Advance
The company name is set permanently when you submit your first app. You cannot change it once your app has been submitted. You should've been more careful. Read the docs which clearly state this. Your best bet now is to contact Apple and see what can be done.
At Last i came to know after calling apple developer support that it's one time setting for PERSONAL ACCOUNT and can not be changed only we can edit the company name to seller name .We can not make any other change So please be careful while submitting your first app.And if your account is COMPANY ACCOUNT in that case it's possible by following some tedious procedures. As my account was personal account so i left it as it was by taking a lesson. Thanks to all who guided me in the process.
