HEY GUYS I tried everything i could to make it work and I somehow did!!!
I'm running a windows 7 64-bit system, but i'm sure it can work for anything else. These are the steps I did:
Delete pgadmin 4 folder which can be found in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\14\pgadmin 4 or where you downloaded the PSQL folder. (This is to install a new version and get rid of the version you have)
Click the link to install a new version, is version 5, it worked for me:
https://pgadmin-archive.postgresql.org/pgadmin4/v5.7/windows/index.html
Download the exe file above, and go thru the steps.
After it's downloaded, make sure to go to 'Program Files', if you see pgAdmin 4 v5 folder next to the PostgreSQL folder, drop the pgadmin 4 v5 folder in the PostgreSQL Folder\14 and leave it there. EXAMPLE (C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\14(version)\pgadmin4 v5 )
Click Windows + R and type in %APPDATA%, see if in the Roaming folder there is a 'pgadmin' and click on the folder.
DELETE everything found inside the folder but NOT the folder itself.
Go to windows bar where you can run the 'pgadmin4 v5': remember this is the newer version, so make sure you deleted the previous version just in case you don't get confused.
Right-click pgAdmin v5 and run as administrator, click yes, and then let it wait until it goes to the server.
If this doesn't work the first time don't worry, it took me a few times, but keep going to Windows + R and type %APPDATA%, go to Roaming\pgadmin and delete everything found inside the folder again, and then run the pgAdmin v5 as administrator again.
LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS. IF NOT I CAN HELP YOU WITH OTHER STEPS BUT THIS SHOULD WORK!!!!

I had my project in VS Code's installation directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft VS Code) because I don't like that any files related to a program placed all over the PC. Then I decided to update VSCode. After the update the folder where my project was, has gone. Are there any ways to restore it? Atleast some of the files? I'm using Windows 7 and don't have any Git accounts.
Windows build-in restoration tool gives me 1 week old folder of my project. I did alot since then. Sometimes you shouldn't work too hard.
I think your best bet is to look if there is any backup of your windows 7 computer to recover your file.
Looks like i got the same problem, when VS Code updates it updates also its installation directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft VS Code, which means any file you create in the installation directory gets deleted, so that's why the Project folder got deleted. It is best to keep your project folders and files in your system for example C:\Projects.. Alternatively you can always use version control ie Git to ensure safety of your code
I have installed the flutter folder in Program Files (x86) and have added the .../flutter/bin directory to path. Running flutter doctor in the flutter_console.bat window or just a normal command prompt window gives nothing
and running as admin in either gives me the error:
Updating flutter tool...
\flutter\.pub-cache was unexpected at this time.
What do I do? Thanks in advance for any help.
You shouldn't put Flutter in Program Files. These folders are not writeable by non-Admin users so may fail when trying to write files if you're not running your console/editor as Admin.
Cut flutter folder from Program Files (x86) to Program Files. It has problem with x86 but works fun in x64 directory. And update the environment variables with the new path.
I had mine fixed by just removing the special character from the directory name.
I organize my folders with numbering and parenthesis like so
1) xyz
2) yza
3) aws
...
25) flutter
I changed it to
1) xyz
2) yza
3) aws
...
25 flutter
don't forget to change it in environment variables too
Ok so this is probably not the way to go about it but what I did to solve this problem was remove this line
SET pub_cache_path=%FLUTTER_ROOT%\.pub-cache
from flutter/bin/flutter.bat. I then went through the installation process and once everything was working changed the flutter.bat file back by adding the line again and then ran flutter again. I got no errors from doing this and I appreciate that this is probably not the correct way to go about solving this problem but it worked for me so I am posting it as the answer if others want to try it.
1.Set the environment variable by copying the bin directory ex: C://programfiles/flutter/flutter/bin
2.Go to Control panel -> User Accounts -> User Accounts-> Change environment variables -> Choose User variable -> Path -> Edit -> New -> Paste the link -> click ok
3.Restart Computer -> Open powershell -> Type "Flutter"
4.It should be working now.
1- First make sure that you running cmd or powershell as admin.
2- If didn't work try to restart PC.
3- If didn't work try to move the flutter folder to another path and make sure that you did the required changes on Environment Variables.
4- If didn't work, just delete the cache folder in "flutter\bin" and try again by writing
flutter doctor
Also as a note, try not to put your flutter directory inside the special directories which need a special permissions like Program Files.
I had originally installed it in d:\Program Files (x86) which is NOT the system folder, but an alternate install location that does not require elevated privs, and I was getting this error. I moved flutter to just d:\flutter and it worked. I don't know if it was spaces or the parentheses that was problematic.
Extract the zip file and place the contained flutter in the desired installation location for the Flutter SDK (for example, C:\src\flutter; do not install Flutter in a directory like C:\Program Files\ that requires elevated privileges).
You are now ready to run Flutter commands in the Flutter Console!
So SQL Developer won't show the connections tab no matter what I do.
I've tried going through the "view" tab and clicking into the "connections" and I've also tried clicking the new button. I've also tried an uninstall/reinstall, but nothing.
It's probably something simple, but I'm fairly new to it, can anyone direct me or provide any advice?
Any help is really appreciated :)
You can go to the upper tab "WINDOW" and then click "Reset Windows to factory settings".
1.) Save your current SQL connection xml file located in windows 7/8/10: C:\Users\"youruseraccount"\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer\systemXXXXX\o.jdeveloper.db.connection.xxxxxx
2.)Now delete your SQL Developer Folder and sqldeveloper folder located in: C:\Users\"youruseraccount"\AppData\Roaming\
3.)Now delete the main sqldeveloper folder containing the actual SQL developer application files. This would be located wherever you initially unzipped the SQLDeveloper download.
4.)Download the latest version of SQL Developer and unzip wherever you like.
5.)Launch SQL developer and specify your JDK location.
6.)Copy your connections xml file to your roaming SQL Developer directory here: C:\Users\"youruseraccount"\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer\systemXXXXXX)\o.jdeveloper.db.connection.xxxxxx
7.)Launch SQL Developer and your DBA view should now be available after selecting view -> DBA
1 ) Select the Windows Menu
2 ) Choose the option Reset Windows to Factory Settings
3 ) Oracle SQL Developer automatically closed and reopened.
Search for the file - windowinglayoutDefault.xml and delete it, and restart SQL Developer.
This file should be present inside a system folder at
windowuserPath\AppData\Roaming\SQL Developer\
I had the similar issue with SQL Developer 4.2, one fine day all the connections pane on left vanished, tried couple options unsuccessfully.
Remedy is
1) Installation of newer version of SQL Developer to the folder of your choice with newer java JDK
2) Import the preference from previous version. DID the TRICK... Good Luck

For me, it worked in the following way:
I just deleted the folder where I had extracted the zip folder and then re-extracted it and then ran sqldeveloper.exe
I exported all my connection to a json file. Then imported the one disappeared and it worked.
This worked for me!!, No need of recreating the connections.
I am moving my first steps with the Zend Framework. I have it on my Linux partition and it works fine. Now, I want to use it on Vista. I have downloaded and installed Zend Server CE. Seems to work.
However, when I try to edit some file inside my Apache htdocs directory, surprise: I have no permissions! I have found out that - despite the fact that I am administrator - the whole Programs folder is read-only! I tried to change this, but without success: it puts it back to read-only as soon as it has finished. What can I do? It is not possible to work like this...
Two things you can try-
1) Run your text editor as an administrator before editing files.
2) Reinstall ZSCE outside of your Programs folder.
