docker-compose cannot find the yaml file - kubernetes

I've placed a docker compose file project.yaml at the location /etc/project/project.yaml
the file and well as the project directory have the same file permission, i.e. -rxwrxxrwx
but when I run docker-compose
sudo docker-compose -f ./project.yaml up -d
if errors out with the following
Cannot find the file ./project.yaml
I have checked various times and it seems there is no permission issue. Can anyone tell why we have this problem and what would be the solution

Beside using the full path, as commented by quoc9x, double-check your current working directory when you call a command with a relative path ./project.yaml
If you are not in the right folder, that would explain the error message.

"No such file or directory" when importing local file into docker container using docker exec

When running a shell command in docker exec with a local file as an argument, it fails with
-bash:  docker/mongo.archive: No such file or directory
$ docker exec -i 4cb4a63af40c sh -c 'mongorestore --archive' < 'docker/mongo.archive'
-bash:  docker/mongo.archive: No such file or directory
However, the file clearly exists at the given location:
$ ls docker/mongo.archive
docker/mongo.archive
I remember using the exact same command and it worked. Also, I tried calling the command from within its directory (./docker) as well as from outside, using relative paths. Using the absolute path fails as well. Any ideas?
Remark: 4cb4a63af40c is a mongodb container.
Adjust the quotes
docker exec -i 4cb4a63af40c sh -c 'mongorestore --archive < docker/mongo.archive'

install4j: Installation doesnt create an alternativeLogfile

When i Invoke the installer with:
installerchecker_windows-x64_19_2_1_0-SNAPSHOT.exe
-q
-c
-varfile install.varfile
-Dinstall4j.alternativeLogfile=d:/tmp/logs/installchecker.log
-Dinstall4j.logToStderr=true
it creates and writes the standard log file installation.log in the .install4j Directory, but doesnt create my custom log in d:/tmp/logs. As configured there is an additional error.log with the correct content.
The installation.log shows the comand-line config : install4j.alternativeLogfile=d:/tmp/logs/installchecker.log
The Directory d:/tmp/logs has full access.
Where is the failure in my config ?
The alternative log file is intended to debug situations where the installer fails. To avoid moving the log file to its final destination in .install4j/installation.log, the VM parameter
-Dinstall4j.noPermanentLogFile=true
can be specified.

Ctools do not show up in pentaho UI

I am using Pentaho CE 5 on windows. I would like to use CTools but I can't make them show up in the File -> New menu to use them.
Being behind a proxy, I can not use the Marketplace plugin, so I have tried a manual installation.
First, I tried to use the ctools-installer.sh. I have run the following command line in cygwin (wget and unzip are installed):
./ctools-installer.sh -s /cygdrive/d/Users/[user]/Mes\ Programmes/pentaho/biserver-ce/pentaho-solutions/ -w /cygdrive/d/Users/[user]/Mes\ programmes/pentaho/biserver-ce/tomcat/webapps/pentaho/
The script starts, asks me what module I want to install, and begins the downloads.
For each module, I get an output like (set -x added to the script) :
echo -n 'Downloading CDF...' Downloading CDF...+ wget -q --no-check-certificate 'http://ci.analytical-labs.com/job/Webdetails-CDF-5-Release/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/bi-platform-v2-plugin/dist/zip/dist.zip'
-O .tmp/cdf/dist.zip SYSTEM_WGETRC = c:/progra~1/wget/etc/wgetrc syswgetrc = C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32/etc/wgetrc
'[' '!' -z '' ']'
rm -f .tmp/dist/marketplace.xml
unzip -o .tmp/cdf/dist.zip -d .tmp End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it
constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case
the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last
disk(s) of this archive. unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in
.tmp/cdf/dist.zip,
and cannot find .tmp/cdf/dist.zip.zip, period.
chmod -R u+rwx .tmp
echo Done Done
Then the script ends. I have seen on this page (pentaho-bi-suite) that it is the normal output. Nevertheless, it seems a bit strange to me and when I start my pentaho server (login: admin/password), I cannot see any new tools in the menus.
After a look to a few other tutorials and the script itself, I have downloaded the .zip snapshots for every tool and unzipped them in the system directory of my pentaho server. Same result.
I would like to make the .sh works, what can I try or adjust ?
Thanks
EDIT 05/06/2014
I checked the dist.zip files dowloaded by the script and they are all empty. It seems that wget cannot fetch the zip files, and therefore the installation fails.
When I try to get any webpage through wget, it fails. I think it is because of the proxy.
Here is my .wgetrc file, located in my user's cygwin home folder:
use_proxy=on
http_proxy=http://[url]:[port]
https_proxy=http://[url]:[port]
proxy_user=[user]
proxy_password=[password]
How could I make this work?
EDIT 10/06/2014
In the end, I have changed my network connection settings to bypass the proxy. It seems that there is an offline mode for the installer, so one can download all needed files on a proxy-free environment and then run the script offline.
I guess this is related with the -r option.
I consider this post solved, since it not a CTools issue anymore.
Difficult to identify the issue in the above procedure..
but you can refer this blog he is key member of pentaho itself..

You can manually install the components from http://www.webdetails.pt/ctools/ or if you have pentaho 5.1 or above, you add the following parameters to CATALINA_OPTS option (in start-pentaho.bat or start-pentaho.sh):
-Dhttp.proxyHost= -Dhttp.proxyPort= -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts="localhost|127.0.0.1|10...*"

How to create dmg file in Centos through command line

I want to create a dmg file of three files in centos . i am using hfsutils commands, but it is showing errors like "No known volumes; use `hmount' to introduce new volumes". I googled a lot to get clear steps for creating dmg. some one who knows these steps please post here
Say if you want to create dmg of three files named file1,file2,file3.keep these three in one directory
Should run this command in the directory where we kept our three files
dd if=/dev/zero of="example.dmg" bs=1M count=10
hformat -l "example" ./"example.dmg"
A dmg file will be formed in our directory. next go to /usr/sbin from there run and then
1)hmount /directorypath/example.dmg
2)hcopy /directorypath/file1 example:
3)hcopy /directorypath/file2 example:
4)hcopy /directorypath/file3 example:
5)humount and then copy this file in to your mac system and open the dmg file,you will find all your three files in it.
You can use this command:
genisoimage -D -V "Volume Label" -no-pad -r -apple -o <dest.dmg> <src>
Here is more.

Can't gzip my mysqldump on the command line windows

I'm trying to make a back up of my MySQL db and zip the file.
Every time I try to run this command...
C:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.5.24\bin\mysqldump.exe -u usernam -ppassword db_name | gzip > sites\www.site.com-local\backups\backup-date.sql.gz
All I get is an error saying "'gzip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'
I've used the following resources hoping they would help but have done nothing
http://www.zigpress.com/2009/04/09/enabling-gzip-on-wamp/
http://dnhome.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/apache-wampserver-enable-compression-gzip/
http://www.dewebbouwmeester.nl/enabling-gzip-on-wamp/
All say the same thing but nothing happens.
Could someone please shine some light on what i am doing wrong?
I had this same problem myself with WAMP.
All you need to do is:
Download gzip.exe from here: http://www.gzip.org/#exe
Place gzip.exe in your PHP folder
That is telling you that gzip is nowhere your system can find. You can blame however you installed gzip.
Check the value of your $PATH environment (or system) variable. Then install a copy of gzip in one of those directories.
Yes, you have to put zip.exe in your wamp folder, like wamp/bin/mysql/[your mysql version]/bin.
Find or install gzip locally. After that directly in PHP folder create just gzip.bat file, specify the fully qualified path to existing gzip binary file and save.
For example:C:\git\bin\gzip.exe
It's not necessary to place gzip.exe in your PHP folder.
