I wanted to use actions console to make an assistant api but when I try make new project the screen goes grey like this enter image description here
I've modified the board and added a column in Jira but there are no status for it and it doesn't show on the board, how to fix and have the new column show up on the board and work correctly ?
This has confused me several times so I'm documenting the steps here.
Go to Board Settings
Click on columns
Click 'Add column' to add the new column - Code Review in my case
You will notice however that the board say
This column will not show on the board without a status
You may also notice that the min/max values cannot be entered
So you (think) next go to Issue Types...
WRONG !
Actually you want to go to
Workflows
You'll see a workflow called something like Software Simplified Workflow for Project [..].
Click on the Actions edit link (the pen symbol)
Now you will be presented with a diagram showing the status'.
Click + Add status and add the new status, e.g. Code Review
Make sure you allow transitions from the other status (it is unchecked by default, so you should usually check it)
It is when you fail to do this that you can run into the 'can't drop ticket into column problem'
Next select the status category. Code Review was obviously "in-progress".
This allows for automatic ticket status transitions.
Arrange the new diagram to reflect the new status (this is for appearance in the diagram only).
Finally the last step is that you have to publish the change ('draft')
Now you can see the "unmapped status"
and you can move them into then new column
When you do all this, finally you can reload the board and see the new status!
Whew !!!
I am trying to make a function so that I request a 'manager override' where it presents a screen for a manager to enter their password and press an approve button. How should I do this? Will it have to be in multiple functions? Is there a way that I can call one function and it present the information back? Would a completion work for what I need? I have no ideas where to start for this.
My set up is as follows:
A view controller asks for manager approval, then a screen slides up with text boxes and an approve button. I want the approve button to trigger authenticating and dismissing the screen
Assuming you don't want a Framework target (that sounds like overkill for what you want) simply mark the function as "public" and move it outside of any class. I just tried in a sample project and it works.
It looks important - remember to keep it in a file already in the project. (My sample project didn't work with menu option File|Add|New|File.)
Now, if you really want portability, check out how to create a Framework project.
I am creating an application where there are some views i want to be available in each and every UIView Controller just like a master page in Web Development. i have created those views but how to add them to all the view controllers in the application automatically?
You should add them to mainWindow if you need to display them in all viewcontrollers.
Hope it helps you.
You need to convert the project and all the views that you created to a template first and then create a new project and use that template. Here is a guide I have used:
This guide explains how to create new project templates in Xcode. Project templates appear in the list of project types in the New Project dialog.
1.Create a new project and setup everything as you'd like (NIB files, graphics, sounds, settings, code etc)
Optionally, build and make sure the project works
Use Finder and locate the project folder for your project you created in step 1
Open another Finder window and navigate to /Library/Application Support/Apple/Developer Tools/Project Templates/. You have two options here:
Create a new folder for your custom project templates - this will appear as a category when creating a new project in XCode
Choose an already existing folder (eg Application) - this will place the project template in that category
5.Open the new/chosen category folder and create a new folder inside. You can name this new folder whatever you like and it will appear as the project template name.
6.Copy all files from the project folder in step 3 to the new template folder created in step 5.
7.Try to create a new project in Xcode. You should see your project template in one of the original categories or in the category you created, whichever you decided.
Note: If you built the project, delete the build folder from the template folder.
Hope this would help you out.
Create a base view controller class which will have all these UIViews added in its view. Additionally, you can also implement the events of these particular views in the controller. Other controllers that you create need to extend from this base view controller class.
