I have a Web App running using SEAM 2.0.2 on JBoss 4.2. When I tried to run it using Seam 2.1 and JBoss 5, all sorts of problems arised. Is there a porting guide available for this scenario that you're aware of ?
Thanks.
Start with jboss-seam-2.1.2/seam21migration.txt for Seam. I don't know about JBoss 5.

I'm using nppgsql 2.2.x version for 1 year but yesterday I tried to use 3.0.5.
I added reference to new library and all Database extraction run perfect but I found big problem with Majorsilence Reporting. No report will appear.
When using version 2.2.x all reports run.
Now I run on 4.0 framework and I read that it is not possible to use a framework little then 4.5 (but it run on 4.0!).
What could be the problem in your mind? Could it be the target framework?
Could it be some changes in 3.x version?
Do you have any ideas? I don't want to use 2.2.x version forever.
Thanks
Sorry. .. npgsql want 4.5 .net And majorsilence run on 4.0
I am working on app that is built on Java 1.4 and is hosted on Jboss 2.4.
I want to install jprofiler and connect to JVM to profile my app.
I wanted to know which version is compatible with my app before i go ahead purchase the license?
I am using version 7 for java 1.4
I need to set the EAR server runtime for my WebSphere Application Server v6.1. I am not able to - I only get version 1.2, 1.3, or 1.4. My coworker uses the same server/IDE (IBM RAD 7.5.4) but sees '5.0' as an option, but I do not. Do you know why this isn't an option for me?
WAS 6.1 JavaEE level is 1.4, I would believe that the problem is on your coworker side.
See this chart for more detail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_WebSphere_Application_Server
The issue was that I wasn't using the latest version of WAS v6.1.
Has any one attempted this before? I would like to know how to upgrade from 4.2 to 4.4 bearing in mind that there are exisiting services on the latter, which I hope will still work on the newly upgraded 4.4.
FuseSource offers migration guides. If you are a FuseSource subscriber then I suggest to use that channel to help with the upgrade.
Hello all,
Can anyone tell me which IDE I can use to do development towards WAS 7.0?
Please help me out with the answer very soon. I have checked Netbeans 6.5 beta and it does not have the support for it. Also on the MyEclipse Blue Edition page it says Compatible with WebSphere 5.x, 6.0, 6.1, 7, but in http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=98487 I see "WebSphere Application Server V7.0 is not supported by MyEclipse at the moment. Thats the reasons you guys are running into issues."
Anyone please help me out with this issue ASAP.
IBM Rational Application Developer 7.5
If you want proper support for WAS, you should be using the Rational toolset. RAD/RSA and their brethren are optimized for Websphere (as you'd expect given they're both from IBM).
You can do it with baseline Eclipse (I'd use the "real" Eclipse rather than myeclipse) but the easiest set up will be with Rational. You may not want to spend the money however.
It's well worth the cost, since it comes bundled with WAS test environments and can deploy automatically to other WAS instances (for example, system test environments).
RAD 7.5 supports WAS 7 so I'd go for that one. RAD 7 only supports up to WAS 6.1.
