Does anyone know if it's possible to change the minute interval of a UIDatePicker after it's been added to a UIView? Is it possible to show and hide 2 different datePickers? I want change the minuteInterval of the UIDatePicker to 5 and 30 when I click a button. Any sample code would be appreciated.
Yes, everything you asked is possible... here's how:
#import "DateStuffAppDelegate.h"
#implementation DateStuffAppDelegate
#synthesize window;
- (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
d = [[[UIDatePicker alloc] init] retain];
d.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, d.frame.size.width, d.frame.size.height);
d.datePickerMode = UIDatePickerModeTime;
d.countDownDuration = 10.0;
d.minuteInterval = 1;
[window addSubview: d];
d1 = [[[UIDatePicker alloc] init] retain];
d1.frame = CGRectMake(0, d.frame.size.height, d1.frame.size.width, d1.frame.size.height);
d1.datePickerMode = UIDatePickerModeTime;
d1.countDownDuration = 10.0;
d1.minuteInterval = 1;
[window addSubview: d1];
[window makeKeyAndVisible];
}
- (IBAction)doStuff
{
d.minuteInterval = 5;
d1.hidden = !d1.hidden;
}
- (void)dealloc {
[window release];
[super dealloc];
}
#end

I have app to create a graph i have created a view based app and then add the code for creating graph in it but it does not disply the graph. If use same code to create a separate UIView then it works other wise not
#import <UIKit/UIKit.h>
#import "ECGraph.h"
#import "ECGraphItem.h"
#class GraphsViewController;
#interface Display : UIView {
NSArray *percentages;
int myY;
ECGraph *graph;
ECGraphItem *item1;
ECGraphItem *item2;
}
#property(nonatomic,retain)NSArray*percentages;
-(void) setPercentageArray:(NSArray*) array;
#end
#import "Display.h"
#import "ECGraph.h"
#implementation Display
#synthesize percentages;
- (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame {
self = [super initWithFrame:frame];
if (self) {
// Initialization code.
}
return self;
}
- (void)drawRect:(CGRect)rect {
CGContextRef _context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext();
graph = [[ECGraph alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(500,-320,320, 200) withContext:_context isPortrait:NO];
item1 = [[ECGraphItem alloc] init];
item2 = [[ECGraphItem alloc] init];
/*

item1.isPercentage = YES;
item1.yValue=myY;
item1.width = 35;
item1.name = #"item1";
item2.isPercentage = YES;
item2.yValue =17;
item2.width = 35;
item2.name = #"item2";
[graph setXaxisTitle:#"name"];
[graph setYaxisTitle:#"Percentage"];
[graph setGraphicTitle:#"Histogram"];
[graph setDelegate:self];
[graph setBackgroundColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:220/255.0 green:220/255.0 blue:220/255.0 alpha:1]];
NSArray *items = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:item1,item2,nil];
[graph drawHistogramWithItems:items lineWidth:2 color:[UIColor blackColor]];
}
I am adding this view in GraphsViewController but its not showing anything
// Implement viewDidLoad to do additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];
[self createGraph];
percentages = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:#"80",#"17", nil];
display = [[Display alloc] init];
[self.view addSubview:display];
[display setPercentageArray:percentages];
}
You should do the drawing in a separate UIView object and add it as a subview to your view controller's view. That's the way it is supposed to work.
The UIView class uses an on-demand drawing model for presenting
content.

as opposed to
The UIViewController class provides the fundamental view-management
model for all iOS apps. ... A view controller manages a set of views
that make up a portion of your app’s user interface.

in above code i have problem that is when check it on simulator then rotate device left and right. But view not change and i want to change it. how i modify it?
In your view controller implementation there is a method - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)orientation. If you want it to rotate to any orientation, make it return YES. If you only want it to autorotate to some orientations, add an if statement to check and return yes or no.
Is there something that I need to remember when using the windows-based template? Because I'm unclear as to why the tabs are showing up but nothing in the views are showing up.
Could you help? Because I've been searching through previous questions for a few hours now and I still haven't found anything to clear this up.

Dissecting your viewDidLoad –
scroller = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, self.view.frame.size.width,self.view.frame.size.height)];
You seem to be creating a new scroll view instance here but you have declared it as an outlet. If you don't have an outlet then remove the IBOutlet tag for scroller. If you do have one and want to use it then remove the above line. A shorter way of doing it would be,
scroller = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
Another thing is that you are creating 10 labels but assigning no frame. To show one of them each in different page,
int pageNumber = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
{
UILabel *label = [[UILabel alloc] init];
[label sizeToFit];
label.center = CGPointMake (((2 * i + 1) * self.view.frame.size.width) / 2, self.view.frame.size.height / 2);
label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%d", pageNumber];
[scroller addSubview:label];
[label release];
pageNumber++;
}
and later set the contentSize to show 10 pages,
scroller.contentSize = CGSizeMake(10 * self.view.frame.size.width, self.view.frame.size.height);
The problem is with this line
AnotherMadeUpViewController *vc3 = [[AnotherMadeUpViewController alloc] init];
You need to change it to
AnotherMadeUpViewController *vc3 = [[AnotherMadeUpViewController alloc] initWithNibName:#"AnotherMadeUpViewController" bundle:nil];
Then your .xib will get loaded and your outlets will be connected.
And don't forget to connect your outlets to File's owner in IB.
Here is the idea:
The scroll view has several sub views, in this example, A, B, C:
[A][B][C]
Once the user scrolls to C, the view can't scroll anymore, but I want to loop back to A, like this:
[C][A][B]
When the user keeps scrolling to the right, the view keeps filling previous views in at the end. When the user
scrolls to left the view should also have similar behavior,
in order to make the user think that this view is infinitely long:
[A][B][C][A][B][C][A][B][C][A][B][C][A][B][C][A][B][C].....
How can I implement this in actual code? Thank you.
you need to set a delegate method that gets called when the view is scrolled, and then check any view that is more than one screens worth of pixels away from being visible, if it is then reposition the view 3*screen width to the other side.
This is what you want( on iphone 7 plus). This is pure code UI, no storyboard.First you need add sub code in your AppDelegate.m.
- (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions {
// Override point for customization after application launch.
self.window = [[UIWindow alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]];
[self.window makeKeyAndVisible];
ViewController *vc = [ViewController alloc];
self.window.rootViewController = vc;
self.window.backgroundColor = [UIColor redColor];
return YES;
}
Second add sub code in ViewController.m
#interface ViewController ()<UIScrollViewDelegate>
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIScrollView *readCannelScrollView;
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIImageView *pageOneView;
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIImageView *pageTwoView;
#property (nonatomic, strong) UIImageView *pageThreeView;
#end
#implementation ViewController
- (void)dealloc
{
_readCannelScrollView = nil;
_pageOneView = nil;
_pageTwoView = nil;
_pageThreeView = nil;
}
- (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil
{
self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil];
if (self) {
// Custom initialization
}
return self;
}
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
//容器的属性设置
self.readCannelScrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
[self.view addSubview:self.readCannelScrollView];
CGSize size = self.readCannelScrollView.contentSize;
size.width = 414*3;
self.readCannelScrollView.contentSize = size;

{

if (currentPage == 0)
{
UIImageView *tmpTxtView = self.pageThreeView;

self.pageOneView = tmpTxtView;
}
if (currentPage == 2)

If you are satisfied with my answer give me a star.I need reputation.
I have an application which contains a scrollview with two subviews (to scroll left and right between them)
Both views appear correctly and scrolling between the views worked fine. Now I want to change the first view to be a TTTableView (courtesy of Three20) but when I use the class 'TableControlsTestController' from the TTCatalog application all I see is an empty tableView
Note that this class contains all the data to display 6 cells
To add the new TTTableView I use the following
[scrollView addSubview:detailView.view];
where detailView is the instance of TableControlsTestController
To try and narrow down where the problem is I also tried calling
[self presentModalViewController:detailView animated:YES];
This correctly displays the tableview with the 6 cells.
Why when I try to add the view to the scrollView does this not work as I expect?
For reference if you do not have access to the TTCatalog
#import "TableControlsTestController.h"
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
#implementation TableControlsTestController
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// NSObject
- (id)init {
if (self = [super init]) {
self.tableViewStyle = UITableViewStyleGrouped;
self.autoresizesForKeyboard = YES;
self.variableHeightRows = YES;
UITextField* textField = [[[UITextField alloc] init] autorelease];
textField.placeholder = #"UITextField";
textField.font = TTSTYLEVAR(font);
UITextField* textField2 = [[[UITextField alloc] init] autorelease];
textField2.font = TTSTYLEVAR(font);
textField2.contentVerticalAlignment = UIControlContentVerticalAlignmentCenter;
TTTableControlItem* textFieldItem = [TTTableControlItem itemWithCaption:#"TTTableControlItem"
control:textField2];
UITextView* textView = [[[UITextView alloc] init] autorelease];
textView.text = #"UITextView";
textView.font = TTSTYLEVAR(font);
TTTextEditor* editor = [[[TTTextEditor alloc] init] autorelease];
editor.font = TTSTYLEVAR(font);
editor.backgroundColor = TTSTYLEVAR(backgroundColor);
editor.autoresizesToText = NO;
editor.minNumberOfLines = 3;
editor.placeholder = #"TTTextEditor";
UISwitch* switchy = [[[UISwitch alloc] init] autorelease];
TTTableControlItem* switchItem = [TTTableControlItem itemWithCaption:#"UISwitch" control:switchy];
UISlider* slider = [[[UISlider alloc] init] autorelease];
TTTableControlItem* sliderItem = [TTTableControlItem itemWithCaption:#"UISlider" control:slider];
self.dataSource = [TTListDataSource dataSourceWithObjects:
textField,
editor,
textView,
textFieldItem,
switchItem,
sliderItem,
nil];
}
return self;
}
#end
It turns out that some of the events were not being propagated through the scrollView and therefore not handled in the TTTableViewController. To fix this I had to do the following in my scrollView
- (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated {
[super viewWillAppear:animated];
[myNewTTViewController viewWillAppear:NO];
}
- (void)viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated {
[super viewDidAppear:animated];
[myNewTTViewController viewDidAppear:NO];
}
- (void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated {
[super viewWillDisappear:animated];
[myNewTTViewController viewWillDisappear:NO];
}
- (void)viewDidDisappear:(BOOL)animated {
[super viewDidDisappear:animated];
[myNewTTViewController viewDidDisappear:NO];
}
As soon as I did this the table popped into life
