Permissions of a team member in iPhone Developer Portal - iphone

I want to know if there is a possibility to add a team member in iPhone Developer Portal that will have permissions (see / modify / update) ONLY to one application.
The reason - there is a big company (that has many applications in the App Store) that uploaded one of my applications and I have hard time to send an update to the application (can't access the guy that is responsible for all the iPhone applications).
I want to ask them to add me as a team member, but they might agree only if I won't be able to see/touch any other application except the one that I have developed...
Thank you.

I don't believe this is possible; there are no per-app permissions.
The available "roles" are explained here:
http://developer.apple.com/programs/roles/index.php
It seems a bit odd if they trust you to write an application that they've published under their corporate identity, but don't trust that you'll only change what you're meant to. Either way is seems the only solution to your problem is likely to be a non-technical one; you need to find a way to get to that guy, whether it's appealing to his better nature, or finding a path to someone more senior who can lean on him.

Is it possible to connect my app to my QBO account using the intuit development server indefinitely?

I originally posted this question as an 'answer' to:
Can a single company really not use QB API?...Semi Rant
but am reposting, because it is a question.
The original poster and I face a similar problem wanting to use the QBO API for an application designed for a single company. What would be the disadvantage of connecting my app to my QBO account using the intuit development server indefinitely, i.e., never take my app through the production qualification process?
Thank you.
I believe that is possible but then you can use at max 10 developer connections.
As we already mentioned we do not not support custom integrations at this time.
Even we wouldn’t recommend moving you to production as it would cost us $1k per year to security review it, and we would only recover about $60 per year in connection fees.
So, the disadvantage for you will be in terms of number of connections, limited support and your app vulnerability since it has not gone through the security review process.
Please read the policy docs mentioned here:
https://developer.intuit.com/docs/0025_quickbooksapi/0005_introduction_to_quickbooksapi/z_developer_policies_and_guidelines
Edit for the question asked:
When you login into developer.intuit.com, Go to Manage My Apps, then click your app.
You will see the number of connections for that app under Test connections.
It refers to the numbers of company files your app is associated with or has been authorized to access data.

Any free online issue/feature tracking software for small scale independent dev?

I'm going to be creating a few small mobile applications and have managed to find a great online Git repo hosting services that is free. It even comes with online issue tracking software but appears to be mainly geared towards the development team. I was hoping it would also have an interface for end-users to log issues/features and allow them to vote on what they wanted but it does not have this. It does expose an RESTful API but I didn't want to go down that path and wanted something ready to go (once configured).
I don't think I need it to be integrated with the Git repo so having something that is purely standalone would be great but I would definitely want something that is online as I don't want to install software on my local PC.
In summary, my requirements are:
Free or very cheap
Simple end-user interface to allow users
to submit issues/features
Allow end-users to vote on their own or other users issues/features
Visible status of issues/features (i.e. whether they are pending, in progress, rejected, fixed etc)
A more advanced management system for me as a developer to manage the
issues
Some basic reports/charts/graphing would be great
Email/RSS notification of new issues/suggestions would be great too
Something that is ready to go after some configuration/settings.
Can anyone recommend something that would be suitable for this?
TIA
I based my question on a website I saw a while back but couldn't find it. Anyway, I've now found it again (it's called http://www.uservoice.com/). It's not really issue tracking but more of a way of letting end-users report features and allow them to vote on them. The important thing is that it is a very user friendly interface which is perfect for end-users. Obviously, I would then need to maintain issues/features in my own system (e.g. Mantis) and then manually sync features requested in uservoice to Mantis but that shouldn't be a big issue. Anyway, this perfectly meets my needs for my low volume applications at the moment.

iPhone/iPad Application Development Limitations

Its quite annoying sometimes when you have no authentic sources to confirm if particular tasks can be done using iPhone Available (Public) APIs. Whats the preferred way of finding it out?.
Shall we go through iPhone documented APIs,
Ask senior developers ( which i dont prefer, you should not depend on others too much and theres no surety about their opinions ).
Mail Apple ( by the way they offer only 2 technical calls/yr :) ,
Any other ideas?
what do u people suggest?
Thanks Guys!
The public APIs are documented on developer.apple.com in the iOS Reference Library.
However, the only absolutely authentic source on whether their use is acceptable is to submit an app and have it reviewed. Apple just added a review board if you with to appeal a review ruling, so that may be the new last word (unless you get the executive staff's attention (e.g. SJ)).
If you wish more facts before submitting an app, there are a few sites which show which types of apps are being accepted and rejected, and if so, for what given reason. However past acceptance of a type of app is not a precedent or guarantee for any future policy.
If you wish to try interpreting their rules and guidelines yourself, they are available as part of the Developer iOS Standard Agreement.
The Developer support people who answer technical question usually cannot answer review or approval questions, except to point you at the proper API documentation. (The reason may be that these are often legal, corporate policy or marketing questions, not technical questions.)
You can look at official review process from Apple here:
https://developer.apple.com/appstore/resources/approval/guidelines.html
Step 1 : Check the API.
Step 2 : If can't find an way in the API (may be you are looking at wrong API), use Google to find out whether it can be done or not.
Step 3 : If you can't be sure using Google, then ask SO.
IMO, Asking Apple is never an option.

Mobile security solutions

What are the mobile handset security solutions used by you / your organization.
What are the pro's and cons of usage of these solution - and how far have you been successful in implementing these - were there any loopholes / issues faced in using them?.
In general, can you suggest a set of guidelines to watch for when going for going for selecting a specific solution in this context.
Are these solutions also inter-operable/compatible with the solutions used on the PC's/laptops.
We like using the android platform for a few reasons.
1) Tracking "company resources". If you are going to see hookers and you have a company phone, then we know about it. We if you are kidnapped, then we know your last location.
2) Remote wipe If a phone is stolen, it could have company passwords or other intellectual property on them. This is important to our information retention policy.

Is it possible to share a settings bundle and NSUserDictionary object between applications?

My guess is that the answer is "no", but I figured I'd ask anyway.
Lets say that I have a shared library that multiple applications build into their executables. Now lets say that this shared library provides an API to some web service that uses the same username/password for all n number of applications that use the library.
Is it possible then to set the username/password in one place such as the system settings and allow multiple applications to access the settings, or is NSUserDefaults still completely sandboxed?
This seems like the sort of thing that the keychain is for, but can you use it for arbitrary data vs. just authentication data? Can a settings bundle be used to change keychain data shared between apps with the same apple id prefix?
You can store arbitrary data in the keychain, and I swear that I read
somewhere that apps with the same bundle ID root can share a keychain. Can't for the life of me find the reference now.
Maybe I dreamt it.
EDIT
I'm pretty sure it was in the KeyChain Services doc, but all references to it seem
to be gone.
At the time I thought it was so interesting that I jotted it down:
can use "bundle seed id" to share keychain access between multiple apps w. a single app ID
That's it. I haven't checked it out yet, so I'm not sure if it means you can make and distribute several apps that use one keychain, or if it just means that successive versions of one app see the same keychain.
I'd love to be able to find the original reference.
Here's a developer forum post that says it's possible.
