My google skills have failed.
My interest is how much user information I can access when having users connect to my website through. Comments, shared links, uploaded photos, data from other facebook applications used by the user?
Have a look at the Graph API ..or the old REST API for an idea of what you can access via Facebook APIs.
There's a good tutorial here: Facebook Connect Tutorial. I believe this article is using the REST API and the Javascript SDK for single sign on.

Can I get posts with likes and other information from public profile of any user at Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube and Instagram using their APIs, if I'm not logged in at any of these services? I need to use it developing PHP/JavaScript application.

Yes, you can. But there is one condition, the profile you're accessing must be public. Also one has his own API's so it can get a little tricky. I think you don't even need PHP because the APIs from google & facebook come in JS.
A tip that might help you. Try firebase. Firebase is a framework that makes client-side development easier. You can include Google APIs & facebook APIs.

Just starting out with Facebook's API. I have a client that sends me the access_token after logging into to FB on iPhone. I am wondering where I would specify the permissions I need, for example to access email, or user's music data?
Is it via client using FBSession, or via Koala (ruby gem I use on server side with access_token to get user's info) or in Facebook's app settings page?

If your user is logging in via an iOS app, you need to request them in the permissions parameter of FBSession. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/ios/3.1/class/FBSession#permissions

I have web portal. I need to somehow get all Facebook wall posts from just one specific user or group( that represents my web portal). I need to have wall posts available on my web portal for further processing.
I will be also needing an option for posting messages from web portal to FB user/group wall.
I haven`t worked with FB API until now, so any materials, tutorials that can lead me in right direction would be of great help.

Facebook just like that does not share its user information.
you will have to create an app on facebook to authorize urself,and on your web portal you will have to sek users permission before getting any user info.

You can choose between javascript sdk and graph api on how you want to get user data.
You can use publish_stream permisiion to get the post on user wall.

I'm trying to find a source for Facebook Application statistics. I'm most interested in getting a comprehensive list of the applications in the system, and how many monthly active users each app has. I know this information is available on each application's page, but aside from crawling Facebook, is this information available somewhere, or via Facebook's API?
