Can't remove Default.png?
I am using Xcode 4, but I am sure the issue does not pertain to this specific IDE.
I have set a "Default.png" using the organizer, but I would like to remove it.
At the time I had already created an image in my project which was no longer being used, instead replaced by the image set in the organizer. I have removed that file, and any "default.png" files from my application (*.app) folders, but the image remains.
How can I get rid of this image?

Do a "clean" of your project.

Black screen on viewController in IB, Xcode 12.4 [duplicate]

Xcode 10 storyboard UI components are not visible and painfully slow?

Closed 2 years ago.
I'm updated Xcode to version 12.4 (12D4e), MacOS 10.15.7, open my project, and see it:
All elements lost labels, have black background (don't change from IB) and blue borders. If i add new element on viewController - i get same thing.
In Simulator and real iPhone all works fine, but in IB - that problem.
Clean build folder, restart Xcode and MacOS not working.
Does anyone know how to fix it? Thx
UPDATE, with solution this problem:
I'm rolled back last commit in project and problem disappeared. Maybe, that happens, because i'm used in last commit custom class with #IBDesignable properties and delete him later, before commit on Github and update Xcode. I found similar problem and answer, on this link https://stackoverflow.com/a/56121110/13110274
Now all works correctly
Have you tried to select and deselect bound rectangles from "Adjust Editor options" in your storyboard?
Also, it seems your storyboard overstuffed. I recommend you separate it into few views.

Changed Project Name and Now Can't Build In Xcode [duplicate]

How can I change the name of an iOS app in Xcode?

I changed my project display name and then changed its name in the project navigator. (same new name for both). I noticed the target name didn't change. Now I'm noticing that I can't find or build the project and my intents are out of scope.
I tried changing the target name itself. It would let me click on it to edit but it wouldn't save it unless its as the old name. I also tried cleaning the build folder and restarting Xcode based on SO advice, but it didn't work.
What do I do?
On left side click project navigator and press enter.
rename the project and press enter, xcode will open a popup showing all references of old name. rename and its done.

Using custom fonts in Xcode 6 - Swift [duplicate]

Can I embed a custom font in an iPhone application?

I'm new to Swift! I'd like to know how I can use custom fonts in my swift application in Xcode 6.
You just drag the font file (.ttf) into the resources area on the left pane of Xcode.
When you drop it in, a dialog box will appear. Make sure the target for your application checkbox is checked. Then add the following key to your plist:
Fonts provided by application
With the values of the filename "myFont.ttf"
UPDATE (see comment below)
Also make sure the font is added to the Copy Bundle Resources (found under Target -> Build Phases) I just spent about an hour on this, and I was the one who answered this question months ago lol.
UPDATE
Another helpful tip to find the name of the font for the font-family if you are using CSS is to run the following command:
NSLog("Available fonts: %#", UIFont.familyNames());
It prints out all the font name available to the system, including the ones you custom added.

Use old AutoLayout in new XCode Projects? [duplicate]

Remove autolayout (constraints) in Interface Builder
While the answer and final question are the same, the rest of the questions are completely different and the questions that appeared when I searched were unrelated to either question.
In my app, I am trying to set the autoLayout to setup my view properly for iPhone 4 screen size versus the iPhone 5 screensize. With the kind of layout I am dealing with, I really don't need the power provided by the new constraints system and it would be much easier to use the old system. I know this is possible because the older xib files in my project use the old system.
My question is: How do I use the old system in new xib files?
Open your xib file in Xcode, open the right-side pane, select the 1st tab in it, and unselect the "Use auto layout" checkbox.

Xcode documentation links behave crazy [duplicate]

Xcode Developer Documentation Link Hover Jumps To Top

The links in Xcode documentation, that mean the methods in the "Tasks" for example,
when i only put the mouse on the links, then the page go up.
What happen to Xcode?
I've seen this on and off as well in the previous version of Xcode.
I haven't seen the problem in Xcode 3.2.1.
This is a duplicate of question 1288900.
It drives me crazy, too.
I found a simple work-around that hopefully works for you. Use the mouse and select some of the text on the page somewhere. That's it. For some reason, hovering over the links no longer makes the page snap to the top.
