Im trying to grab a HTML source code from a webpage which needs user to login with username and password, the code are all done in the back end, i can not use "?username=xx&pw=xxx" to get the html code.
There are many apps that does this kind of things, such as getting usage from a phone provider or view bills.
I would like to know how do people implement this. do they create some kind of robot that input those username into the textfield and click submit? and is there a way to download the html straight from the server, rather than create our own server to retrieve it.
How do i set the username textfield on the webpage and click log in button to retrieve the next page?

Why not? If a user can submit their login creds over HTTP, then you can do the same. You'll probably need to use POST instead of GET to submit those fields, and there may be other fields on the form that you'll need to match. But the web server doesn't (in principle) have any idea what sort of client is submitting login data to it.
Now, they might screen out older, non-supported browsers, in which case your USER_AGENT field will need to be fudged to some legal value. There may be some session timeout token in the form that you need to get first and provide in your submitted data. Who knows what else they need back from you to validate the login. But if a web browser can do it, you can do it from the HTTP client methods in your app.

I want an spfx made webpart that I've made be able to send an email (I'm using IEmailProperties at the moment) which provides a link to a modal form?
For example:
User clicks button in webpart, form loads.
User fills out form and submits it to SP list.
Form sends email on submission. Email has a link to the actual item created, so when the user clicks the provided email link, it opens up the modal form.
I would presume that the user would HAVE to be sent to the SP page where the webpart is unconditionally, but would it be possible to open up the modal corresponding to the SP list item?
Is this feature available in SharePoint framework, because if it isn't, compared to something like InfoPath 2013 or PowerApps it's quite a limitation.
I've researched this with several shallow Google searches and on gitHub for any premade stuff, but alas there is nothing that I've spotted.
I've been told IT IS possible:
"Yeah, they’d have to visit the page. Email clients don’t do JavaScript so you can’t really do interactive stuff there. If you want to take them directly to a page that then displays a modal, that’s plenty possible though. (e.g. display the modal based on if the URL contains a certain string)"
But wouldn't know how to do the above, can anyone start me on the right path?

In the email, pass a query string containing the item ID/list ID etc of the item, then have the webpart read the See: How can I get query string values in JavaScript? If your values exist. If they do exist, then open the modal using some kind of framework like bootstrap or fluent UI. You can write your own form using PnPjs or use an iframe potentially to display the OOTB edit form.
Additionally, you can link to any page in SharePoint provided you use an extension instead of a webpart to host the modal. You can install extensions tenant wide, and have it listen for the query string.
I have a page in Squarespace that I only want viewable after someone inputs their contact information. For example, I would create a Form Block, and then direct them to the otherwise locked page so they can view for that session. But if they close the window, they would need to re-enter their information (Name + Email).
lets say the address to the otherwise unviewable page is www.website.com/access
Once the viewer puts in their Name + Email and hit submit, they can see the /access page. If they do that and say share the address with someone who has not entered in their information, then they would get the Form Block where they need to enter their information.
Is there a way to do this in Squarespace? Would that need to be done with some sort of PHP Session that can be injected into the header of the specific page?
Ideally it would be like if they could see the page which is normally hidden, but of course unless they are an admin, the page is not viewable to the public.
Squarespace doesn't support PHP since it uses JSON template, so you can't create a session there. Please refer to this page: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815358-Custom-code-FAQ
The only option to achieve this will be to create a cookie via JS and redirect if there is no cookie. The page will be still accessible if you turnoff the JS.
Please have in mind that SquareSpace is very limited when it comes to this kind of changes.
I'm trying to deeplink users into my facebook messenger bot, and I need to pass some data in at the same time. Supposedly this can be done by using m.me links, along with a query param.
My bot's page is https://www.facebook.com/Willy-1610141399078870/
The m.me url would be something like this. https://m.me/Willy-1610141399078870?ref=somedatagoeshere
The m.me link works to a degree on desktop, but the data isn't passed to the bot. I don't particularly need it to work on desktop.
However, when I try to open that link on ios or android, I get an error message.

The bot hasn't been published yet, so it won't be visible to anyone else. I need to be able to test this functionality before I publish, so I hope that's not what is causing the failure.
Has anyone else been able to use this feature?
It seems that the facebook-generated username can't be used for m.me links. It requires you to register an explicit username.
My page's generated name was Willy-1610141399078870, so https://m.me/Willy-1610141399078870 wasn't a valid url.
To register a username for your page, go to your page > About > Create Page #username.
Then, you can attempt to pick a username that isn't already taken. Somehow, #willy-the-test-page is already taken (?), so I got this incredibly confusing error message:
Taking the error message at face value, I decided to create another page and try again. This time, realizing that the message didn't mean what it said. Picking an available username clears the error message, and allows registration.
Just kidding! It will tell you again that the page isn't eligible.
The solution was to create a totally new page, and go through the #username creation flow again. It worked for me on the second attempt.
It's rumored that a page needs at least 25 likes to become eligible for an #username, but this isn't true in all cases.
I want to set up a login page in which from anywhere on the site I can send a user to it and it will display a custom message along with it. I could use a redirect and a msg query param but is this the best way to do it?
I'm working with node.js but I'm interested in a universal solution.
If you are going for easy, you can just have GET data in the URL. But, that doesn't look that nice, if you want a rather long message, plus, GET has size restrictions, where POST (virtually) hasn't.
For using post data you could use the solution of this: JavaScript post request like a form submit question, but that gives a rather messy source code (if you want a somewhat longer text).
You could keep them in a database, and only send the ID of the message to a PHP page, and get it from the database (that's what I would do, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea, just amateur here!)
You can use jQuery or simply plain javascript to extract your message from the url; the relevant question that listed links to detailed code: jquery get querystring from URL.
Then depending on how you want it displayed, apply the extracted string to your situation.

But this solution is not perfect, because all the form data could be easily changed using e.g. Firebug. I think you cannot do this using $this->_redirect(...). But maybe there is some other solution?

It is no more secure that using a redirect as the header data can be modified without too much of a problem. There are even Firefox plugins to do it.
