What site template would you recommend to create an intranet portal site? It is going to be used by 200 employees. It probably will have the following content
department calendar
company news
employee search
weather
useful links
new employee list
presentation video
User should be able to customize the portal based their interests. Kind like the iGoogle where you could add widgets and move them around.
Maybe I also could use Fab 40 templates (for MOSS 2010), not sure yet. http://techsolutions.net/Blog/tabid/65/EntryId/17/Fab-40-Templates-for-MOSS-2010.aspx
I think this isn't available directly out of the box.
But if it's for an intranet website, I'd choose a Team Site or an Empty site.
With an empty site, you can add everything you want/need yourself, the team site already has a calendar, document list, etc.
On a side-note. Most of the time when I create an intranet portal it's in the following setup:
http://intranet
-> contains all company info (company agenda, docs, news, etc.)
http://intranet/department1
-> contains all info of the department
http://intranet/department1/group1 -> info about group1
http://intranet/department1/group1/team1 -> info about team1.
Off-course, if you haven't got any groups or teams, you don't need those and you can stick with the 2 levels (root and department-sites).
Also, you can create site templates of the department sites, so all of them are the same.
Some webparts probably need to be created by youself, but everything is quite doable with an empty or team site.
PS:
Sharepoint 2010 only has SPS or SPF.
Sharepoint 2007 has MOSS or WSS3.0

I am creating a Recipe App on Flutter where it will hold recipes and I am here to humbly ask for suggestions on which Cloud Database should I be using to integrate with my app? I will list down few of the things that I would be expecting the Cloud Database to handle for my app, maybe from the listed requirements may help you guys better in suggesting one.
Requirements:
Users needs to login to use the app, so that the user can post their own Recipes to the Cloud Database.
Users can publish some photos to post for their recipes (was considering to store google drive links).
Users can see any recipes that are posted by other users.
Users can favorite a recipe and keep it in their list.
Users can comment on a recipe and give stars rating on it.
Users can view comments of a recipe that is written by others.
Users will be able to search for a recipe and while searching, they can also apply one or more filters such as Cuisine Types, Rating Stars and other filters that may be applicable.
Initially I was thinking to go with Firebase for creating projects with Flutter, considering the fact that I need to have User logins and No-SQL Database seems to be the best option for me to stick with when coming to Recipes and User reviews. However the problem here is, I am unsure if Firebase can perform the multi filter searches. The query has to be flexible as I may perform searches with different filter parameters.
If you had made up your mind with flutter. so i will suggest you to go with Cloud-firestore. it ticks all your requirements.
Also, it has really good support with flutter.

This question to get consultation only.
I have a school use microsoft teams to benefit a OnlineMeeting, Assignment ...
I have a education website to making this using of teams services much easy.
So i get api from teams and in put them in my website, in this case i need consultation:
Example if i get joinMeetingURL this url is private that means only student in a class that teacher has create this meeting can join .
In this case we need this student to sign in in his microsoft teams righ? So i need SSO ?
In generale if i want to use data in microsoft teams we need to ensure that the student has sign in from his microsoft teams ?
I would certainly use SSO for this - it saves you worrying about managing your own usernames and passwords, and you know the users have a proper account with a trustable identify (Microsoft 365). There are two types of SSO that might be relevant here though:
TEAMS TAB SSO - this is only if you want your app to live INSIDE Teams, as a tab (read more at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/tabs/how-to/authentication/auth-aad-sso)
Microsoft 365 SSO - Look into the MSAL 2.0 Library at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/identity/blogs/msal-js-2-0-supports-authorization-code-flow-is-now-generally-available/

Does anybody know of a web page which I can try out automation tools on.
We are evaluating a Test Automation tool and are looking for a page where we can write test cases to automate that are beyond the average "Google search" test case.
So I am looking for a page which is a bit more advanced, for example with Login, Search. And it should be built for trying out test automation, and nobody should care if we fill it with crazy data.
An example would be this page: http://www.ranorex.com/web-testing-examples/vip/
But I would like some more advance stuff, multiple pages and login.
You could create a few dummy Google accounts: that would give you the ability to test multiple simultaneous logins and access to a myriad of different activities (Gmail, Google+) that have some pretty advanced capabilities.
One simple out of the box website is the asp.net internet template site that comes with asp.net MVC. Just load up Visual Studio (even express) and create the site automatically.
I would consider that a decent playground. It is also easy to add on new functionality to it since all the plumbing is there

I am tasked to research and evaluate a long overdue CMS system for our dept within a large software company. For the most part we need a system that has workflows and the ability to publish static content to a specified location (app server, cdn etc...). We aren't interested in a typical CMS that let's you create templated websites. Our developers will still be creating our applications in their preferred language and will ideally pick up the static content that will populate areas of our websites from the CMS to avoid code deployments for every little content change.
Another department is doing this using Teamsite. Aside from Teamsite can anyone here recommend a CMS? I'm not too impressed with their interface (and their price tag). I found a product called Ingeniux that does what we need (multi format output) but I haven't heard much about them and need to demo their system.
While this is our main requirement, other requirements would be - average price tag (free to $20k, rather than +$100k a year), self hosted (not a hosted or cloud solution), and straightforward setup and integration process (ideally we don't want to hire a consulting company to stand up the servers etc...).
Thanks.
You could
put some of that money to fund one of this open source projects
ask the author to do custom work for you
allocate time for one of your coders to learn the technology and implement and maintain the tool you need by an open-source project.
I used, with satisfaction, for some of my work:
Ruby
NANOC
Jekyll
Webby
Middleman
Ruhoh
...And a bunch of other solutions from this big list at Nanoc website.
Node.js + Coffescript
DocPad
Also try this lightweight cms using ruby and google drive nice alternative.

I've got an app on the iTunes store, and Apple provides daily (and weekly) sales reports. I'd like to download these in an automated fashion (say, via script attached to a cron job), but I'm not sure how to get around all their https-forms, Web-objects controls, session-IDs, etc.
Does anyone have a plug & play solution for this?
Thanks!
There's a thread in the Dev Forums about this: https://devforums.apple.com/thread/1253?start=0&tstart=0'>Sales Reports Script
Link: https://devforums.apple.com/thread/1253?start=0&tstart=0
I really like AppSales, an open-source iPhone app that scrapes the iTunes Connect website and gives you daily and weekly reports, graphs etc. It's open source so you can extend it to your needs.
http://github.com/omz/AppSales-Mobile
There's no API but you cant "scrape" it, there are various open source scripts online.
Instead though you can use www.appfigures.com which downloads reports automatically, turns them into interactive sales/downloads reports and sends parsed reports by email automatically as well as shows your reviews from all 77 app stores around the world and rank trending from 6 major app stores.
For security reasons I'd use a sub iTC account when signing up.
And its completely free (while in beta)
