Attach Javadoc to Eclipse for Java ME - eclipse

I have just begun developing using J2ME using Eclipse Pulsar and I am trying to work out how you go about giving eclipse the associated javadoc for all of the CDLCs. I am using the Symbian S60 5th edition SDK if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.

On the Windows>Preferences>Java ME>Device Management dialog choose the device that you are using and push the edit button. This should open a new dialog. You can edit the javadoc locations on the libraries tab.

NetBeans 8.0.2 missing Java Desktop Application

I recently installed latest version of NetBeans and when I tried to make a new project type "Java Desktop Application" it won't appear in Java category.
Please help?
I've installed this plugin:
Java Swing Framework Library
JDK Project for Netbeans
Even I installed all of java plugins. But no luck!
By Java Desktop Application you may be referring the "Swing Application Framework" and that was halted by Sun Microsystems before Java 7 around year 2009 end.
For developing Desktop Applications using Java in NetBeans you have multiple options as follows:
Using Matisse UI Builder
The Matisse UI builder is available in NetBeans and you can create JFrame and JDialog classes in your application which can be used as your UI in any Java application. This approach needs a lot of boilerplate code to be written for creating windows, menus and dialog boxes. The next option is better if you want a professional cross platform Java Desktop Application
Using NetBeans Platform as base of your application
NetBeans IDE is built on the top of NetBeans Platform and you can also use the NetBeans Platform to build your own Desktop application with many conventional features out of the box coming from the NetBeans Platform. The NetBeans IDE comes with NetBeans Modules project types where you can choose the "NetBeans Platform Applciation: project type to create a desktop application. There are lot of tutorials and help available for the NetBeans platform on NetBeans users list and platform mailing list.
If you are still looking for the answer, or if anyone out there who want help, then here is an option. I think you want the drag and drop option, right? Here you go.
Just Start new project as Java and Java Application as shown below:
And then give any name to your project, like helloworld as shown below:
After you click finish button, the helloworld package will be opened. Now go to the left (mostly) or right side of the screen there is a list of projects. Go to your project and right-click on Source Packages -> New -> Other as shown below:
Now another window opens, and select Swing GUI Forms from Categories and JFrame Form from File Types, then Next and give the name and location for the class.
Now the form should appear on the window. You can now go back to source code and go forth to Design as you want. Have a nice coding.

Adding Java ME platform in NetBeans

I installed NetBeans 7.2.1 with JDK 7 and the plug-in - Java ME SDK 3.2 (it has Wireles Toolkit 2.5.2 inside).
I try to create new project by clicking File/New Project/Java ME/Mobile Application. Then I click next. In next window the message:
Every CLDC project needs to have CLDC compatible SDK/platform/emulator assigned to it.
Pressing Install SDK/Platform/Emulator button opens Platform Installation wizard, which allows you to "add platform".
I tried clicking Install SDK/Platform/Emulator button and I tried then indicating the folder, where Java ME 3.2 is installed. It can recognize the emulator, but the project cannot be started.
After the choice, there appear several options. How to make in new version? Most of the thing in Internet are connected to old version.
Have you tried using this Oracle tutorial online? It's fairly current (September 2012). There's also an even newer one just posted here.
If you install the Java ME SDK that way, you should have the proper Java Platforms there already. It's hard to read your screen capture, but it doesn't look like the proper Java Platforms are there. I would try again, following the steps in the link I provided.
I just tried it, with NetBeans 7.2.1, and the Java ME SDK 3.2. The version of NetBeans I used was from this download page and was the Java EE version.
One easy thing to miss in the steps below is that on this download page, you need to download both the Java ME SDK and the Java ME SDK Plugin for Netbeans. Not just the plugin. This applies for the installation instructions in either of the two links I posted above. Install the SDK, and not just the plugin.
In case that link later changes/dies, here are the important steps:
How to integrate Java ME SDK 3.2 with NetBeans
By SungmoonCho on Sep 25, 2012
Many people like to use Java ME SDK with IDEs. We provided instructions on how to integrate the SDK with NetBeans through the download page, and also through the release note, however, let me explain it here once again with some screen shots.
Download Java ME SDK and NetBeans plugin from here.
Install Java ME SDK first. You will have the emulator and the runtime on your machine. Also please unarchive the NetBeans plugin somewhere.
Launch NetBeans.
Go to "Tools" - "Plugins".
Check out the "Installed" tab. Check "Show details". If you see the previous version of Java ME SDK Tools installed already. Check those to uninstall them.
Go to "Settings" tab.
Click "Add", and provide the location of NetBeans plugin. In my case, it is "file:/C:/Users/sungcho/Downloads/nb-me-sdk-plugins-uc/updates.xml". Don't forget to add "updates.xml" at the end.
Click "Okay"
Click "Available Plugins" tab.
If you scroll down, you will see three Java ME SDK Tools. Check "Java ME SDK Tools" plugin. Also check others as you desire.
Follow the instruction and install them.
Restart NetBeans
That is it. Done. Now you will see Oracle Java ME SDK 3.2 in your Java Platform list.
Finally, I configured it. I had plug-in without SDK:). I uninstalled plug-in. I installed Java ME SDK 3.2, then I installed plug-in. I installed SDK not in the default path. I indicated platform using "Add platform" button. I indicated 2 platforms and now the project can be run in the emulator.
Here are platforms:):

Please configure a GWT SDK?

I have just installed the Google App Engine Plugin for eclipse and want to create a new project. But i only get:
Why cannot I create a new project?
greetings and thx in advance
Plugin is not same as the SDK. Plugin just makes it easy to work with GWT projects.
The actual GWT compiler and libraries are present in the SDK which needs to be downloaded separately.
Once you download and extract the SDK, You have to configure its location in Eclipse's Preferences. Go to Window > Preferences > Google > Web Toolkit and add the SDK there.
I had the same problem.
If you do not want to use GWT just uncheck the "Use Google Web Toolkit" checkbox on that same dialog. You do not need this turned on in order to create a New Web Application Project.
I personally think it was confusing that the checkbox for GWT is turned on by default, even if you don't have one installed.
The SDK that you installed with your eclipse plugin should be sufficient.

gwtext.jar's version generated by gwt plugin of Eclipse

Currently I am using GWT 2.3.0 sdk and installed the google web toolkit plugin for eclipse.
I created a web application project with the plugin and want to use GWT-Ext.
Then, right click on the module (com.company.project) and choose "Google Web Toolkit" and choose "Configure for using GWT-Ext".
Then, a gwtext.jar is automatically generated in the project.
My question is, how can I verify the version of the automatic generated gwtext.jar and all the license issues with it?
As I got you, you want to check the gwt version.
So follow this step.
Right click on the project->Properties->Google->Web Tool Kit.
After selecting Web ToolKit you can see the version which is in used and you can also configure the another version by clicking on the configure version.
Hope this will help you.

Blackberry Development using NetBeans

I have gone through with the tutorial documents for blackberry development.
At every place they have showed the features with eclipse plugins.
So, I would like to know that which are the tools I need to download If I want to start development using NetBeans 6.8 (or 6.5) ? And what is the procedure to do so ?
Thanks in advance...
One guy called Jonathan Fisher did come up with a solution, but his page disappeared off the web a while ago. But I managed to find it using the Wayback machine to get the archived webpage.
Basically you need to first install the Blackberry JDE (which is Eclipse based), then in Netbeans Mobility settings go to Manage Emulators and do Add Plaform in the platforms manager to add a custom platform that points to your Blackberry JDE directory, and remove all the automatically added jars except for net_rim_api.jar
Next, when you start a MIDP project, select your new custom Blackberry platform as your emulator in the project settings. You will also need to add some custom build settings to build.xml, plus a Blackberry .alx application loader file to the project. It's a bit long-winded, so best to follow the instructions as per the aforementioned link.
There are no plugins that are available for BlackBerry development on Netbeans. But, you can do so, if
you are willing to give up the on device debugging that you can get with Eclipse plugin.
And are willing and know how to install BlackBerry JDE in Netbeans.
The advantage here is Netbeans has a lot more sophisticated preprocessor support, whereas BlackBerry plugin in Eclipse has rudimentary support for that.
I have wrote a short article on this on my blog link text
, it tells you how to confguire Netbeans for BB development.
this is only supporting J2ME not cldc .
I would highly recommend using the Eclipse plugin. Its supported from RIM and it has a large enough community base for troubleshooting.
