I have a requirement wherein I want to read the mac address of client m/c using an applet.
But after some googling I found that applets run in a protected sandbox mode and can't have access to NetworkInterface.getHardwareAddress() api. And because of that I am not getting mac address when applet runs in browser where as i get the mac address when applet runs from Eclipse.
Please let me know way so that applet can get access to NetworkInterface.getHardwareAddress() api.
You need to grant the required permission. See here.

We are trying the google workspace(GCPW) for sharing the msi package from google admin to multiple user.
Problems we are facing :-
In windows 10 home we have successfully created the custom policy of OMA URI to share the app, But msi package is not installing on users system as per expectation. Later i received an email from google that it will only support in windows 10 pro.
So I tried it on 2 windows 10 pro system and installed the GCPW installer on both the systems and it was successfully installed, But unfortunately GCPW login is not working please find the below errors i a having in both systems.
a. 1st System issue - This email isn't allowed to sign in. Try again with the account you use for work or school. If you still can't sign in, Contact administrator
2nd system issue - We cannot find the option to login using GCPW (Like Add work account with google logo).
Hope the issues is understanding correctly with you all guys, If need to understand it further please do let me know.

I've been trying to create simple mobile app prototype (in Flutter) which would allow you to connect to a Wallet and obtains your address(es). I cannot get the connection working, all the clients I could find are written in JS so my initial approach was to get it working using webview. However none of the libraries worked for me:
WalletConnect - the generated wc: link is not recognized (universal links don't seem to work)
Metamask - doesn't inject the provider into the webview browser (I'm serving the scripts locally)
Web3Modal - requires secure server to run
I'm about to try to get local HTTPS server working in the app just to try the Web3Modal but I kind of have a feeling that I'm approaching this wrong.
Any suggestions appreciated.
There is now walletconnect_dart package which supports WC protocol for Flutter. I have created walletconnect_qrcode_modal_dart package which uses walletconnect_dart to emulate functionality of #walletconnect/qrcode-modal npm package.
I have been working on a NativeScript project that uses an API. The API project is on my MacBook and haven't deployed to anywhere yet. It's based on Laravel and I use Laravel Valet as development environment.
I can't test the mobile app on iPhone because the app can't connect to local API URL. I know Valet has "share" command, but because the API consumes another API -which has IP restrictions-, it doesn't work for me. Sharing a local domain via Valet's share command is something like a proxy as I understand, so the consumed API doesn't work on that proxy.
I also checked articles about how to share Macbook's network with iPhone, but it only shares the same network. I can't access the local API still.
Is there any other way that can resolve my issue? Maybe a Docker based solution? I am not that good at Docker, but I can give a try if it is possible with it.
https://ngrok.com/ will happily expose your local Laravel Valet server.
Looks like there's a bit of a walk through on that here too https://mannyisles.com/using-laravel-valet-and-ngrok/ which may help?
We have a locked down customer environment in which we do not have rights to install anything. In this environment, I need to call some REST services in order to troubleshoot them.
In my local development environment, I normally use Postman (Chrome plugin) or Advanced REST client. However, since the customer environment is locked down, I can't install Chrome (they have IE 11) or Adv. REST client.
Is there any REST client that I can just copy and use, without the need for installation?
I am under the same constraints. To test a RESTful API, I installed a portable Chrome version(doesn't require admin permission) in which I installed postman.
You can find a portable chrome edition with a simple google search.
You can also install a portable firefox edition and install a plugin to simulate REST requests like HttpRequester here.
You can also use SOAP UI from here https://www.soapui.org/. Make sure to choose the open source version for a free edition. Also, when installing making sure to change the installation path to a folder you have permission to write in, for instance a folder in your Desktop. Here's the doc on how to use it: https://www.soapui.org/soapui-projects/soapui-projects.html
I wanted to use the DocShare plugin so I installed the ECF SDK in Eclipse Luna and tried adding my google account using the File->New->XMPPS and added my google account information to log in but I get the error "Container Connect" has encountered an error.
Do i need to include anything except my email address in the field for User-ID?
I would love any help on this issue as I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it working.
BTW, I also tried adding the details of my account into the XMPP dialogue with the same result.
EDIT: I just realized that I also need to enter a port with my email address but I have almost no knowledge of ports and have no idea what port to assign.
Allowing "Less Secure Apps" in my google settings did the job. Am now connected to my Google Account through Eclipse. Recieved an email that asked me to allow this.
