How to create chart application in iphone - iphone

I'm assigned with new task for creating chart application in iphone like.,(BarChart,PieChart,etc..,).But,i have no idea for chart application in iphone. Please anyone help me out to guide me to start chart application in iphone. If any of the frameworks or API used for this kind of chart application means please explain that also.

Give a shot to:
Core-Plot Framework
To get it working, read here.
You can also see the accepted answer of this SO question.
For a little bar-chart tutorial go here.
There is also:
s7graphview less features but It's an option.
If you can rely on the web, although it's a far from optimal solution, you can embed a UIWebView in your application, and use the Google Graph Visualization API or you can use a UIWebView with an HTML5 graph library lake rgraph. Look here for a jQuery based solution. Filament Group made also this one.
At the and some sample code from Apple (Accelerometer Graph).

A commonly used Cocoa "native" charting library is core-plot. Whilst I've yet to personally use it, it seems to be quite popular and is under active development.

Here you go, but next time please use the search function first:

Cocoa Graphing/Plotting Framework that Works on iPhoneOS

A popular one is core plot. http://code.google.com/p/core-plot/

Dynamic Chart using Xamarin Forms

I am newbie in Xamarin; I know there must be ready components for what I need, already I searched but not yet found.
I need to create a dynamic graphic like this:
http://www.highcharts.com/demo/dynamic-update
I wore this in PhoneGap (html5 + JS), but now I'm moving to Xamarin forms and would like to know if any third component is what I need or I'll have to do everything from scratch.
Thank you.
I'm currently looking into graphing too and OxyPlots seems to be a pretty good line graph tool. I don't think it supports dynamic updating so you'd have to program it to update manually when new data points come available.
I've not gotten round to actually using this myself but I thought I'd post this here in case it works for you.
Edit: Here's a list of examples. Also you can add it to your project using nuget so it should be easy to set up.
I'm using Syncfusion controls for Xamarin.Forms and I'm satisfied with it. They also have a free license for individual developers and small businesses.
For dynamically updated Xamarin charts SciChart offers an extremely high performance solution. With the SciChart Xamarin Chart control you can draw up to a million points, zoom, pan and scroll big datasets interactively.

Candlestick chart on bitcoinwisdom

Im in need for good candlestick chart for my web app and chart at http://bitcoinwisdom.com/ is really what Im looking for. I like the way you can zoom and move with it. Is it possible to figure out what they are using or do you think they made it up on their own? If so with what tools? Another amazing charting can be found here https://www.tradingview.com/e/ these two sites have even better charting than some desktop apps and I wanna know how they did it.
In searching the bitcoinwisdom's forums I found a couple posts asking for the exact same thing. In fact, I stumbled upon your SO post here looking for the same thing.
According to those forum posts' responses they used d3js.org with the rest being custom code. Unfortunately for us as their implementation is very impressive! View source on the page and look for the JS files they are referencing. The code is obfuscated and minified so porting it will be very difficult.

Is there a visual guide to the UIKit components?

My Problem is this, I want to add some component to my App I saw in some other App. Everytime I wnat to do this, I start googling around for the name. It took me some time to find the name of UIActionSheet. Now I'm looking for that transparent overlay that appears when you turn the volume up and down.
So, is there a good visual guide to the UIKit components? As an example, see the visual guide to swing components or this visual guide which is way to short/incomplete. And secondly, what's the name of the component I'm looking for?
The iOS documentation has a section called iOS UIKit UI Catalog that shows the various UI features by name with links to the API docs and recommend how and when they should be used.
Apple has provided a sample iPhone application called UICatalog. It lists all (or most?) of the standard UIKit component in different variants.
You can download the sample from here.
i recently had the same problem. Googling a lot i came across the following page. This overlay works pretty well and is easy to use.
look at: http://github.com/jdg/MBProgressHUD
Hope this is what you were looking for.

Is there a good iphone sdk documentation site that provides good examples / common usage?

The problem? I look up stuff in the xcode documentation and find very useful lists of objects, methods, etc... But then I still have to go somewhere else to find useful example code of how to use that object. For example, I looked up NSNumber yesterday and found all of the neat stuff it can do, but I still had no clue how to use it. That's just an example. I'm sure I could read the objective c pdf front to back and learn something there (which I plan on doing) but what about later? When I'm looking up some UIKit object? Do I have to go find a tutorial each time (or lately, I just ask StackOverflow and you guys take care of me).
Is there a part of the apple website / xcode documentation that shows the example code I'm looking for?
Is there a wiki site out there or something that has what I'm looking for? (I just tried a simple google search "iphone sdk wiki". this site could be good. iphone sdk wiki . I'll check it out. Anyone else have one they like? )
This is also sort of a mild complaint to Apple. Why not a section on each code definition page that shows usage?
I've found the sample code section on Apple's iPhone Developer Connection be extremely useful not only for samples of complete applications but also a best practices source. Going through the code of The Elements, for example, will expose you to how to use particular classes as well as how to structure your code. It is a wonderful example of how to create a non-trivial iPhone app.
Look in developer.apple.com/iphone they have pretty good documentation (you can use the search bar there) on all the classes and have a lot of good sample code..
I really would emphasize the "Related sample code" section on many, if not most, of the documented classes.
But, IMHO, there isn't any easy way of acquiring the knowledge to develop in Cocoa/Cocoa Touch. The API's are so numerous that it simply takes a lot of time and experience. You just have to work on it, look at a lot of books and study the sample source code where available.
I've tried to take a purposeful approach by carving out some time every week to learning a new API/class irrespective of whether my current project needs it or not.
Alternatively, search Joe Hewitt. He's the developer for iPhone facebook. He has a project you can download that demonstrates all the features of facebook. It's an awesome open source project!
When you look something up in Xcode Developer Documentation, you sometimes get a Related Sample Code: text that tells you what Sample the method or property is used in. Too bad you can't click on it to see the code, but if you do click it takes you to the page to download the sample. – mahboudz 0 secs ago
Apple Developer site has all kinds of code examples. Try searching google for a UICatalog project, it will show you all the basic UI stuff you can do, like adding buttons and progressbars through using only code.

Stand-alone charts in GWT

I've been trying to get pretty charts to work in GWT on our internal network.
Playing around with GWT-Ext's charts is nice, but it requires flash and is really messy to control (it seems buggy, in general).
I'd like to hear about something that works with the least amount of dependencies and it also must work without a connection to the web (so, Google' charts API isn't a solution).
Edit: Indeed, I would rather a library that is all client-side.
I'm building a GWT chart library based on Flot: http://gflot.googlecode.com
I hope you find it useful. Contact me if you have any questions.
Googling for "GWT +sparklines" has gotten me to gchart, which seems like what I need.
From what I understand - it's all client side and requires nothing more than their JAR file.
Google's charts actually come in two flavours, and one of them does not require interaction with Google's servers - so should satisfy your needs.
Google Image Charts is the API you are thinking of, which is an API on Google's servers that returns images.
Google Interactive Charts is a client side javascript API that renders entirely within the browser: Google Interactive Charts
Google provides a GWT wrapper for the interactive charts: GWT Visualization API
It's not all rainbows and unicorns and you can find chart libs out there that make nicer charts, but it's pretty solid, works on all major browsers and we've been using it successfully for quite a while.
http://code.google.com/p/ext-ux-ofcgxt/ is a nice option if you're using ext-gwt
Do you want something that has a server side component or entirely client driven? The best ones I have seen are all flash, alas. I have done little tricks with JS and GWT before, but there is only sophisticated I will get before I go hunting for a library to do it for me.
There is also "sparklines" - they are available in lots of flavours (very simple charts though).
gchart looks seriously awesome. Go with it !
If you're looking for client-side check out flotr which is based on prototype javascript library or flot which is based on jQuery. Both work well, though flot seems like its got a bigger backing.
If you are willing to go with flash, XML/SWF is a wonderful tool
+1 flot, requires jQuery though, so might not play well with GWT, I haven't used that.
Another flash option, with a pre-built GWT integration - Open Flash Chart / ofcgwt.
I think that gwt-chart is a better framework for you.
well.. i've used yahoo ui chart library (which GWT-Ext uses internally). Pretty neat solution, in the beta stage though.
Let us know the conclusion you arrive at..
There is one open source api for charts in GWT hosted on http://code.google.com/p/gwt-rcharts/ . The API works on SVG/VML specification. You may find it quite easy to implement and use. You may find the demo at http://gwt-rcharts.appspot.com/
