Wordpress Plugin for Secondary Categories? - plugins

I'm looking for a plugin that offers something similar to categories, but in a different container, to separate them from categories.

I believe you can use Custom Taxonomies for that

Sulu: Is it possible to limit the available page templates per webspace?

I have a sulu 1.6 installation with multiple webspaces. I have multiple page template definitions in app/Resources/templates/pages, like default.xml, homepage.xml, blog.xml, center.xml.
Is it possible to make for example the center.xml only available for the content of one webspace and not all the others?
UPDATDE:
Where can I change this behaviour in the code, that per webspace only the ones are showing up, that are defined in the webspace.xml? This is really blocking and a super bad user experience, since the template is directly linked together with the configured webspace, but the others do not fit.
Thx a lot!
Andreas
The template is only shown in the dropdown if its .html.twig file exists. So if you use the SuluThemeBundle and only a specific theme implements its .html.twig file the template will not be shown on the other theme aslong as the .html.twig does not exists there.
This feature has not yet been implemented, because not too many people have asked for it...
Since Sulu 2.0 you can limit the template on the webspace using the exclude-templates inside your webspace configuration:
<excluded-templates>
<excluded-template>overview</excluded-template>
</excluded-templates>
Before the only way to limit page templates was to work with themes.

where to find ui components for jeet-grid

checking out Jeet currently, having been through their github and resources and wondering whether it has ready-made components such as buttons, dropdowns, jumbotrons, etc. like bootstrap. Don't really want to style my own.
Nope, it doesn't.
Jeet is a grid system, not a bootstrapping framework. Don't confuse Bootstrap with Jeet.

How to create 2 maps using Store Locator Plus plugin in wordpress

I am using Store Locator Plus plugin for showing locations of stores, and plugin works fine. But now i need to create another map for distributor's location. So how can i use this plugin to create 2 maps at a time, something like i could divide the locations into 2 maps. Or can i use this plugin twice in an application, like renaming kind of things.
Please help.
Store Locator Plus supports multiple maps which can filter locations by categories. You can do this with the Tagalong add-on pack to add managed categories or Pro Pack add-on pack if you need simple free-form categories.
You then assign the category / tag "red" or "blue" to each location and use the shortcode filters:
[slplus only_with_tag="red"] on one page or [slplus only_with_tag="blue"] on the other.
Full documentation and examples are on the website at http://www.storelocatorplus.com/. You should also post questions like this in the forum. While I do use Stack Overflow regularly I answer support questions much more quickly at the support forum:

Teamsite component or template

I was wondering if page templates can be built instead of individual components in Teamsite 7? I've seen other cMS systems where it is just a page template that has lots of functionality built I and you can "switch" on and off elements that you want to display instead of having to drag components onto a page? Is this possible?
Old question, but since I just came across it:
Yes, TeamSite supports templates (.template) files which can be partial or full page templates. The default location is iwadmin/main/livesite/template.
I recommend downloading the developer guides from Autonomy's web site for detailed information.
Templates in teamsite/livesite is like a bag that can contain components. But in order for a functionality to be developed in teamsite/livesite we need to create components. certainly we can avoid dragging and dropping components in each page by creating templates and dropping components within it for once. Keep in mind templates are bound to layouts. for each type of layout we need to create a template. Please have a look at TS_7.3_SiteDeveloper_rev1, Chapter 5.
Yes, you can create templates instead of dragging components.
Since, TeamSite supports templates (.template) files which can be partial or full page templates and resides at location : iwadmin/main/livesite/template.
So, whenever you try to create a new page everytime the HTML code required for that page gets automatically added with the template and layouts you selected.
But, again this is not good since you can have any number of templates you need but this could create confusions at times when you try to create a new page since you will need to remember every template name and contents that you will need for a particular page so it's better to have small lists of templates and layouts since then we can say that there is reusability in our application/website which we are going to develop using Teamsite and Livesite.
Please vote the solution if its helpful.
Thanks!

Where can I find a web-based interactive org chart API?

I'm looking to build an interactive web-based org chart for a large organization. I somewhat like the interface at ancestry.com where you can hover over people and pan/zoom around and click on different nodes to make them the root.
Ideally, I'd like it if people could belong to multiple organizational entities like committees, working groups, etc. In other words the API should support graphs in general, not just trees.
I'd like to be able to visually explode each organizational substructure into substituents by clicking on it, with a nice animation of the employees ballooning or spilling out so you can really interactively drill down through the organization.
I found http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/orgchart.html but it looks a bit rudimentary.
I know there are desktop tools like OrgPlus and Visio that can build static charts but I'm really looking for a free, web-based API with open standards-based output like SVG or HTML5 Canvas elements rather than Flash or some proprietary output. Something I can embed into a custom web application and style myself. Something interactive.
Check my solution on github: OrgChart.svg This is a modern full SVG orgchart with support of custom styling, tip-over / stacking possibility in the best known form. I would be very happy if it helps someone. It is based on snap.svg.
I ended up using the SpaceTree API from the Javascript InfoVis Toolkit to build my org chart:
http://philogb.github.com/jit/static/v20/Docs/files/Visualizations/Spacetree-js.html
I've had a go at building this in d3.js. It was originally built for data pulled from Yammer but now it will work with any csv - like this one.
Here's the repo and here's a demo. You will need to know a little html/javascript to customise it for your application.
There is this one for asp.net but I have only ever added it to my bookmarks so I can't vouch for how standards compliant it is:
http://www.orgchartcomponent.com/
Something you should also consider when you are looking in to this is your charting requirements. Many org charts only support a single top node. If you wanted to map a family tree for example then this might not be the case.
