If you have come across any CMS (.net or php) that can be used for Restaurant business, please let me know. The admin should be able to add new menu items and perform CRUD menus.
Thankyou.

Perhaps using Wordpress would be a good start for a restaurant website. There are even some people using specific modules like Flutter (a CMS extension to Wordpress) that can be used to manage menus. If you look at the Wordpress extension for restaurant, you have many extensions.

The best solution for you is to use some OSS e-commerce engine.
OpenCart, I think, is the best one. It is simple and extendable.

I'm looking for details about how linkedIn manages "Search Skills & Expertise". Somebody knows how tags comparison could work? On what algorithms developers could have based the tag comparing system? Something like a "binary independent model" - like? Every supposition or infos are welcome. I'm trying to think about a system that relates tag like linkedIn "Search Skills & Expertise", so I would start with some good incipit, studying some web information retrieval material and asking to someone who knows more than me about this argument.
Thank you.
Have you asked LinkedIn?
Also they recently released IndexTank as open source sorftware and this is the engine they use for searching and indexing and i suspect that would give you information as you can dow=nload and run it yourself.

I've build my own website from scratch as I needed it to be built especially for my business. That went well so far, but now I want to make the "articles engine".(store them in a database, display based on name etc) and I was wondering if there is a way to install an editor, cause that would make my editing job so much easier. I've tried looking it up but all I found was CMS oriented plugins. Those could work, but editing them would most likely take soo long. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I'm using CKEditor (aka:FCKEditor) editor for many years.

There are many alternatives but my advice is this.

I have created a webapp which is for iPhone. I need 2 helps.
App URL: http://classictutorials.com/ts/
How do i submit it to http://www.apple.com/webapps/ ?
Whats the best way to share with people who would be using it. Its a free app and neither am asking for any donation. So don't want to share across using money.
Apple adds the webapps on its own, and it didnt add anything to that list after 12/03/2010. So that is a stale list.
If you dont want to spend anything, you may want to advertise it on some forums, where they discuss about the problem your app could solve. Other than that you could try telling people, writing blogs about it or do a link exchange with other apps.

I am looking for a a free template or tool to help creating an online user's guide (manual) for a web-based system. I have been searching on the web for hours and just found some expensive commercial solutions with too many functionalities.
I am trying to create something like http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp. Just checked that eclipse has one but seems that can be used just on eclipse RCP projects.
Do you know any free tool or template for this task? I would really appreciate any help.
Many thanks,
Thiago
Docbook good but there's a learning curve...
Why not use an open source wiki? Or something like Doxygen will auto-generate help like documentation from source code.

We're starting a user group and want our own website for it where people can post, register for meetings, etc. What is the best CMS to use? The server we plan to use is Win 2003 Web Server with IIS 6 and SQL 2008, but also has PHP and MySQL installed.
This is highly subjective. You can have a look at http://php.opensourcecms.com/ where you can try almost all of them and decide for yourself.
If you want an easy and quick start, try Joomla. For a better (and maybe more complex) product, go with Drupal.
