I am having a problem setting a UIImageView or UIView on the cell of the Grouped table on the iPhone.
For this I am using this code
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *SimpleTableIdentifier = #"SimpleTableIdentifier";
NSArray *listData =[self.tableContents objectForKey:[self.sotreKeys objectAtIndex:[indexPath section]]];
UITableViewCell * cell = [tableView
dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:SimpleTableIdentifier];
if(cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc]
initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault
reuseIdentifier:SimpleTableIdentifier] autorelease];
}
if(indexPath.section == 1 && indexPath.row ==1)
{
UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(240, 14, 40, 40)];
imageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"Back.png",nil]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:imageView];
[imageView release];
}
NSUInteger row = [indexPath row];
cell.textLabel.text = [listData objectAtIndex:row];
return cell;
[tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES];
}
But it is not placed on the cell . When ever I select the row it will display for that time only, what is the problem?
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is. I think the image is getting overwritten by the cell .
Thanks in advance
try making
cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryNone;
It seems that you are adding image on accessory view.
If yes, you can add cell.accessoryView = imageView;
I do have some ideas of what might be happening.
You are adding an image view to the contentView then you are setting the text of the textLabel which is a part of the contentView and is probably sitting on top of the image. Try this and see if you can at least see your image on the left side.
cell.imageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"Back.png"];
Now when you dequeue cells you need to remember that all the views you added last time you created the cell are still there, so as you scroll you will just be stacking back buttons on top of each other.
Also the following line [tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES]; is dead code because it occurs after a return statement. You might want to place that in the delegate call – tableView:willDisplayCell:forRowAtIndexPath:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *SimpleTableIdentifier = #"SimpleTableIdentifier";
NSArray *listData =[self.tableContents objectForKey:[self.sotreKeys objectAtIndex:[indexPath section]]];
UITableViewCell * cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:SimpleTableIdentifier];
if(cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc]
initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault
reuseIdentifier:SimpleTableIdentifier] autorelease];
}
if(indexPath.section == 1 && indexPath.row ==1)
{
UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(240, 14, 40, 40)];
imageView.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"Back.png"];
[cell.contentView addSubview:imageView];
[imageView release];
}
cell.textLabel.text = [listData objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
return cell;
}
Make sure that your image is named "Back.png" not "back.png" because the iOS on the phone is key sensitive.

I am creating custom cell contain UILabel , UIImageView ,using constant tag for UILabel , UIImageView using dynamic tag, the table have 11 cells, the first 7 cells loading correctly, the 8, 9, 10, 11 cell image view change when I am changing the 1, 2, 3, 4, cell respectively in the table, also the tags are same in the cells, I am using the images to check box in table,UITapGestureRecognizer used to change imageview in the table,
I am using this code.....
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
static NSString *CellIdentifier =#"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableview dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] ;
cell.selectionStyle=UITableViewCellSelectionStyleGray;
cell.accessoryType=UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator;
UIImageView *imageview=[[UIImageView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 12, 20, 20)];
imageview.tag=n;
[cell.contentView addSubview:imageview];
UITapGestureRecognizer *tap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(tabimage:)];
imageview.userInteractionEnabled=YES;
[imageview addGestureRecognizer:tap];
imageview.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"];
UILabel *titleLabel=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(30, 2, 260,26)];
titleLabel.tag=222;
titleLabel.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
[cell.contentView addSubview:titleLabel];
UILabel *dateLabel=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(30, 31, 260, 13)];
dateLabel.tag=333;
dateLabel.font=[UIFont systemFontOfSize:10];
dateLabel.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
[cell.contentView addSubview:dateLabel];
}
UIImageView *imageview1=(UIImageView*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:n];
if([array containsObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:imageview1.tag]]) {
imageview1.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img2.jpeg"];
} else {
imageview1.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"];
}
UILabel *titlelable=(UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:222];
titlelable.text=[task objectAtIndex:indexPath.section];
NSLog(#"%i",indexPath.section);
UILabel *dateLabel=(UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:333];
dateLabel.text=[date objectAtIndex:indexPath.section];
n++;
return cell;
}
- (void)tabimage:(id)sender {
UIImageView *iv=(UIImageView *)[sender view];
int i=iv.tag;
NSLog(#"------------%i",i);
if (iv.image==[UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"]) {
iv.image= [UIImage imageNamed:#"img2.jpeg"];
[array addObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:i]];
} else {
iv.image= [UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"];
[array removeObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:i]];
}
}
You should change your cell identifier from static to dynamic that will solve your problem.
You should replace this
static NSString *CellIdentifier =#"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableview dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
with this
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableview dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%d %d"], indexPath.row, indexPath.section];
Whatever problem you see, use of that "n" is most probably the problem. There is no good reason to use a shared variable to tag (and retrieve) views on table view cells.
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath is called many times, it may be called several times for the same cell, and sometimes it finds a cell to reuse, and sometimes not.
I have of course no idea what n is, and how you use it elsewhere in your code, but you change it with every call here, and you cannot make assumptions when this method is called, so it's worthless.
You know for sure that every cell has one image with that tag, but if it will ever be accessible after the first run through this method or not is totally undefined, so with every reuse you basically get random behavior (either a fresh new cell or a reused one with a tag you don't know).
Ask yourself (or maybe at SO in another question): What are you trying to accomplish here?
i am getting solution for my app,
to using dynamic cell identifier in my code
NSString *CellIdentifier =[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%i-%i", indexPath.section,indexPath.row];
I suggest subclass the UITableViewCell add there all your custom elements, create setters for it. And in cellForRowAtIndexPath just call your setters.
As you are setting tag to imageview in if(cell == nil) block means tag will be set when cell is getting created. In your case 7 cells are getting created after that cells are reused by dequeuing. Hence for 8 onwards previously created cells will be used. This is why your tags are same as 1,2,3...for 8,9,10...cells.
Well, Alex suggested standard way to do it. But if you have not used custom cells yet, you can try this-
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
static NSString *CellIdentifier =#"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableview dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
UIImageView *imageview = nil;
if(cell){
for (UIView *view in cell.contentView.subviews){
if([view isKindOfClass:[UIImageView class]]){
imageview = (UIImageView*)view;
break;
}
}
}
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] ;
cell.selectionStyle=UITableViewCellSelectionStyleGray;
cell.accessoryType=UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator;
imageview=[[UIImageView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 12, 20, 20)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:imageview];
UITapGestureRecognizer *tap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(tabimage:)];
imageview.userInteractionEnabled=YES;
[imageview addGestureRecognizer:tap];
imageview.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"];
UILabel *titleLabel=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(30, 2, 260,26)];
titleLabel.tag=222;
titleLabel.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
[cell.contentView addSubview:titleLabel];
UILabel *dateLabel=[[UILabel alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(30, 31, 260, 13)];
dateLabel.tag=333;
dateLabel.font=[UIFont systemFontOfSize:10];
dateLabel.backgroundColor=[UIColor clearColor];
[cell.contentView addSubview:dateLabel];
}
imageview.tag=n;
if([array containsObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:imageview.tag]]) {
imageview.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img2.jpeg"];
} else {
imageview.image=[UIImage imageNamed:#"img1.jpeg"];
}
UILabel *titlelable=(UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:222];
titlelable.text=[task objectAtIndex:indexPath.section];
NSLog(#"%i",indexPath.section);
UILabel *dateLabel=(UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:333];
dateLabel.text=[date objectAtIndex:indexPath.section];
n++;
return cell;
}
I am trying to implement UITableview based application. In my tableView their is 10 Section and each section having one row.
I want implement each section have Different type of ContentView(1-8 same ContentView 9th section Different ContentView). I did this code For that.
- (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView
{
return 10;
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section
{
return 1;
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier1 = #"Cell1";
static NSString *CellIdentifier2 = #"Cell2";
UITextField *textField;
UITextView *textView;
NSUInteger section=[indexPath section];
if(section == 9){
UITableViewCell *cell=[self.tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
//UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier1];
if(cell==nil){
cell=[[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier1]autorelease];
textView=[[UITextView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 5, 290, 110)];
[textView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor scrollViewTexturedBackgroundColor
]];
[textView setTag:([indexPath section]+100)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:textView];
}else{
textView=(UITextView*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:([indexPath section]+100)];
}
return cell;
}else {
UITableViewCell *cell=[self.tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
// UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier2];
if(cell==nil){
cell=[[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier2]autorelease];
textField=[[UITextField alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 5, 290, 50)];
[textField setBackgroundColor:[UIColor scrollViewTexturedBackgroundColor]];
[textField setTag:([indexPath section]+100)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:textField];
}else{
textField=(UITextField*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:([indexPath section]+100)];
}
return cell;
}
return nil;
}
My problem are:
1. After type some thing in the UITextField/UITextView i am scrolling in the UITableView. that time all data in the UITableViewCell(UITextField/UITextView) was lose, except last cell data.
2. If i create cell
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
Instead of
UITableViewCell *cell=[self.tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
Data will repeating . How can i over come this problem?
This line:
UITableViewCell *cell=[self.tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
Should never appear in your data source cellForRowAtIndexPath method.
Apart from that, your code is OK, except that you are not setting the text field value anywhere. You need a model (such as an array of strings for the 10 textfield values). This model should be updated when the textfields are edited, and in your method above you copy the value back out of the model and into the textfield's text property:
textfield.text = [self.modelArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.section];
The table pools and reuses cells in an unpredictable fashion, so that subview of a cell that just scrolled off the bottom might reappear next at the top, or might be disposed of.
This is why you saw it partially work. The cell's subviews work okay until their cell gets reused or unloaded, then things move to the wrong place or data disappears.
The solution is that your table's datasource needs to hold onto it's own data. This is usually an array representing your model. Your case is a little unusual because you are using the text controls in your table as inputs, rather than display, which is more typical.
I suggest doing it like this:
// in #interface
#property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *sections;
// in #implementation
#synthesize sections=_sections;
// at some point before the view appears
self.sections = [NSMutableArray array];
for (int i=0; i<10; i++) {
UIControl *textControl;
if (i<9) {
textControl=[[UITextView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 5, 290, 110)];
} else {
textControl=[[UITextField alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(5, 5, 290, 50)];
}
[textControl setBackgroundColor:[UIColor scrollViewTexturedBackgroundColor]];
[textControl setTag:i+100];
[sections addObject:textControl];
[textControl release];
}
Now your cellForRowAtIndexPath is a little simpler:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
static NSString *CellIdentifier1 = #"Cell1";
static NSString *CellIdentifier2 = #"Cell2";
NSUInteger section=[indexPath section];
if(section == 9) {
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier1];
if(cell==nil) {
cell=[[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier1]autorelease];
}
} else {
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier2];
if(cell==nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier2]autorelease];
}
}
// who knows what subview this cell has? it might not have one, or it might have the wrong one
// just clean it up to be certain
for (UIView *view in cell.subviews) {
[view removeFromSuperView];
}
// get the textControl we set up for _this_ section/cell
UIControl *textControl = [self.sections objectAtIndex:section];
// now we have a fresh cell and the right textControl. drop it in
[cell addSubview:textControl];
return cell;
}
hey the reason is you are doing this things when cell is nil ? but you are not writing any code when cell is not nil.
look at this example , in this example i am adding image view in tableview cell , hence you can add textviews or any other views like this
UITableViewCell *cell = (UITableViewCell *)[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
UIImageView *imgView;
if(cell == nil)
{
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
imgView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(100,0,100,62)];
[imgView setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"img.png"]];
imgView.tag = 55;
[cell.contentView addSubview:imgView];
[imgView release];
}
else
{
imgView = (id)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:55];
}
so as showin here imgView = (id)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:55]; you have to give tag to you and write code showing above in else..
Let you try to make the cell labels and textviews by using following code. It works for me.
if (tagvalue ==3) {
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell3";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle
reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
}
lbl7 = [[UILabel alloc] init];
[lbl7 setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:lbl7];
lbl7.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
lbl7.frame = CGRectMake(120, 5, 0, 40);
lbl7.tag = 70;
[lbl7 release];
lbl8 = [[UILabel alloc] init];
[lbl8 setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:18]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:lbl8];
lbl8.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
lbl8.textColor = [UIColor grayColor];
lbl8.frame = CGRectMake(120, 50, 0, 40);
lbl8.tag = 80;
[lbl8 release];
lbl7 = (UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:70];
lbl8 = (UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:80];
lbl7.text = [[rowsarray objectAtIndex:row]objectForKey:#"name"];
lbl8.text = [[rowsarray objectAtIndex:row]objectForKey:#"flavour"];
[lbl7 sizeToFit];
[lbl8 sizeToFit];
return cell;
}
if (tagvalue ==4) {
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell4";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
}
lbl9 = [[UILabel alloc] init];
[lbl9 setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:20]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:lbl9];
lbl9.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
lbl9.frame = CGRectMake(120, 5, 0, 40);
lbl9.tag = 90;
[lbl9 release];
lbl10 = [[UILabel alloc] init];
[lbl10 setFont:[UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:18]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:lbl10];
lbl10.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
lbl10.textColor = [UIColor grayColor];
lbl10.frame = CGRectMake(120, 50, 0, 40);
lbl10.tag = 100;
[lbl10 release];
lbl9 = (UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:90];
lbl10 = (UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:100];
lbl9.text = [[rowsarray objectAtIndex:row]objectForKey:#"name"];
lbl10.text = [[rowsarray objectAtIndex:row]objectForKey:#"flavour"];
[lbl9 sizeToFit];
[lbl10 sizeToFit];
return cell;
}
I had same issue. Its not the problem with table class. The issue is at the place where you are calling this tableviewcontroller. First make the object of this call in .h and then allocate in .m, thats it..
When I was declaring in viewdidload like tbl *t = [self.storyboard...];, I was also facing the same problem. But when I put tbl *t; in .h problem solved.
Currently I am adding an icon to the right-side of one row and toggle the light on selection of that specific row.
-(UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *SimpleTableIdentifier = #"SimpleTableIdentifier";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:SimpleTableIdentifier];
...
...
NSUInteger row = [indexPath row];
if(row == 3)
{
//Draw bulb in row
cell.accessoryView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"bulb-on.png"]];
//Instead of image, draw toggle-switch here
}
else
cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator;
cell.textLabel.text = [listData objectAtIndex:row];
return cell;
}
How can I, instead of that image, draw a usable toggle-switch?
Property accessoryView is just a usual UIView, so you can add any subviews to it:
UISwitch *toggleSwitch = [[UISwitch alloc] init];
cell.accessoryView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:toggleSwitch.frame];
[cell.accessoryView addSubview:toggleSwitch];
P.S. Don't forget to release allocated objects!
Hey guys i have a table view that can add and delete cells. but when i delete the only cell that comes with the app, and i try to add a new cell with the text of "Meghan Way" and the text just automatically changes it self to the original cells text which is "House 1" here is my code!
- (IBAction)saveButton:(id)sender {
FacePlatesViewController * viewController = (FacePlatesViewController
*)self.parentViewController;
[viewController addObject:[NSMutableDictionary dictionaryWithObject:text.text
forKey:#"name"]];
[self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
}
- (IBAction)cancel:(id)sender {
[self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:
(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero
reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
cell.textLabel.text = [[cells objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] valueForKey:#"name"];
UIImage * myimage = [UIImage imageNamed: #"check.png"];
image = [[UIImageView alloc]initWithImage:myimage];
tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
self.myTableView = tableView;
}
return cell;
}
this is for the save button! any help would be very appreciated:D Thanks
You code is quite messed up. I have improved it below and added comments:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:
(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil)
{
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectZero
reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
} //The if block should end here. You should set the cell's label irrespective whether the cell was nil. This is the cause of the issue you are facing.
cell.textLabel.text = [[cells objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] valueForKey:#"name"];
//You are doing nothing with the UIImage
//UIImage * myimage = [UIImage imageNamed: #"check.png"];
//image = [[UIImageView alloc]initWithImage:myimage];
//You should be setting the background color just once, in ViewDidLoad, not here.
//tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor];
//I don't see why this is required
//self.myTableView = tableView;
return cell;
}
Are you storing the text labels for these cells in any kind of array or dictionary and loading them in there using the standard "cellForRowAtIndexPath?" If so, then you need to delete the dictionary / array entry in that data source to prevent it from being used again.
I can't tell for sure without seeing some more code...but it sounds like a cell recycling issue. I could be wrong...but I'd need to see more info.
i am using the code below to implement a volume view into a cell.
[[cell detailTextLabel] setText: #""];
MPVolumeView *systemVolumeSlider = [[MPVolumeView alloc] initWithFrame: CGRectMake(100, 10, 200, 100)];
[cell addSubview: systemVolumeSlider];
[self.view addSubview:cell];
[systemVolumeSlider release];
//[MPVolumeView release];
However I have a problem with it. Whenever i scroll up or down in the tableview the MPVolumeView will be added to some other cells aswell. How could I fix this?
As mentioned in the comments, the cell with the Volume control may get re-used for non-Volume cells so it needs to be removed if it already exists. An example of how this can be done:
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleValue1 reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
}
//remove the volume control (which we tagged as 10) if it already exists...
UIView *v = [cell.contentView viewWithTag:10];
[v removeFromSuperview];
cell.textLabel.text = #"some text";
if (indexPath.section == 7)
{
if (indexPath.row == 1)
{
cell.detailTextLabel.text = #"";
MPVolumeView *systemVolumeSlider = [[MPVolumeView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(100, 10, 200, 100)];
//set a tag so we can easily find it (to remove it)...
systemVolumeSlider.tag = 10;
[cell.contentView addSubview:systemVolumeSlider];
[systemVolumeSlider release];
return cell;
}
}
cell.detailTextLabel.text = #"detail";
return cell;
}
In your comments, it seems the volume control should only be on the 2nd row of the 8th section so the example is written that way. Modify as needed.
