Aborting Script and Allowing Normal Behavior to Occur - filemaker

If a field is configured so that clicking on it runs a script, is there a way from within the script to abort/cancel and allow the field's normal click behavior to occur?
Example: Suppose I have a container field which triggers a script when the field is clicked. Based on logic in the script, sometimes an Insert File dialog should be displayed. Other times, the script should stop running and the field should behave as though it hadn't triggered a script--that is, the normal Record Audio dialog or right-click pop-up menu should be displayed. How would I go about doing this?
Thank you,
Ben

You could setup a script trigger OnObjectEnter as this allows the contextual menu. If you set a button on the field the contextual menu will not be displayed and there is no way to get it to appear thru scripting.
The script trigger for OnObjectEnter will also get called AFTER the user selects one of the import options (or if they don't select any option) but it also gets called if the user directly clicks on the field.

This script (screenshot below) should solve your problem. Let me know if it doesn't.

How can I persist state in a VS Code WebviewPanel after it is destroyed?

After looking at the documentation, I'm able to persist state in the following two cases:
When a WebviewPanel is hidden (ie, the user switches tabs) using getState/setState
When the user restarts the VS Code by implementing a WebviewPanelSerializer
However, I don't see a way to persist state when the panel is destroyed (ie, the user closes it or calls dispose). Here's my scenario:
I execute a command to show the WebviewPanel
I have an input box in the HTML content. I type some string in and press a button to save it. Upon saving, I save it using setState and then append a div with the entered text into the webview.
I close the panel and execute the command again. The panel does not have the appended div.
You have 2 options:
Recreate the additional div when you find saved state (e.g. the input from the user).
Use retainContextWhenHidden to keep the content of the webview, even if it is moved to the background.
The latter won't help when the user closed the webview, however, and is much more resource hungry than the state save/restore operation.

OBIEE 12c How to skip filter page in prompt

I am trying to create a simple hierarchy in OBI, after adding prompts to the sub analysis. When ever I click on the main analysis, it always shows a filter first and I have to click the okay button to get to the next analysis. Is there any way to remove this? The value can be auto selected, I really don't want to click this okay button manually. Please see screenshots below, I want to remove the second step.
You could hide the dashboard prompt, so it gets applied with default values, or you don't even need a dashboard prompt in this example, using GoUrl functionality the value is passed.

Setting Widget Focus in Gtkada

I'm trying to create a simple test program in Gtkada to bring up a Dialog box upon leaving a specific textbox. I have managed this part, but am having problems resetting the focus back to the original textbox when the Dialog's 'Ok' button is pressed.
The general idea is that the user enters something into a textbox and when they click/tab out of the box (focus out event), some simple Alphanumeric validation is done. If the validation fails, the user is warned with a Dialog, and focus is returned to the textbox they entered erroneous data into.
All I am after is a simple example of how to set the focus back to a textbox when you close the Dialog box which clicking out of the textbox originally called. In Gtkada... I'm using version 2.2 of Gtkada. I can't change the version of Gtkada, or use a different program or language!
Much obliged!
Tim
The most elegant solution, GUI-wise, is to do the validation on a leave_event on each input field, and if that fails display an error message (in red or some such) next to the field. But do not display a dialog or force the focus to a specific field, that would interfere with what the user is trying to do (imagine: I enter an incorrect email address, press tab, get the dialog which I do not read (like most users), start typing my name for the next field, but since the focus went back to the email address, I have no overridden that one and lost my previous input).
If you still want to grab the focus, Gtk.Widget.Grab_Focus is the procedure you want.

Predefined Add Dialog not working as expected in Lightswitch 2012

I've created a query to use in an AutoCompleteBox and it works as expected when the user select the AutoCompleteBox in the grid as shown in the picture below
However if the user click the plus button to add a new record using the predefined Add Dialog then the query and the AutoCompleteBox's format doesn't work as shown in the picture below
Why is this happening and how I can fix that?
Thanks
I haven't yet found a way to edit the default Add New dialog.
Instead, make a new screen, select the "New Data Screen" template, and link it to your entity data. You can customize the screen to fit your needs, even make it a Modal Window by changing the Control Type in the screen properties. Once you have the screen set up the way you want, go back to your grid screen, and double click on the Add... command in the Command Bar of your grid, to edit the AddAndEditNew_Execute code. In that method, call your custom screen.
So, as I got to thinking about this some more, I came back to the thought I had when I tried to do this a few months ago. There has to be a better way, so I Googled it again.
This time, I found something. He's using an old version of Lightswitch, but I've successfully applied his technique in my application built in Lightswitch 2012.

Jasper Reports - remove buttons from input control

I've been digging all over Jasper documentation and can't find the answer.
Currently for our reports, we have a simple input control, Date. When this launches, I am given a date control and at the bottom, I get series of useless button choices...
Apply, OK, Reset, Cancel, Save
Can anyone help me get these removed? Just want OK and Cancel. I looked at DefaultParametersForm.jsp but am having a hard time finding anything useful there. I'm an amateur jsp programmer.
We removed the Cancel button from the input control popup, we found it in the file inputControls.jsp in the jsp/templates directory.
You should find the apply, ok, reset and save button here also.
I do not know off-hand how to remove the buttons, but these buttons are not all useless. Reset clears your fields back to their defaults (blank if no default).
When you are using the Control Layout 1, you may think the Apply and OK button do the same thing but they don't. Apply will run the report with the set parameters, but will not get rid of the dialog box. OK runs apply and removes the dialog as well. (Note that the dialog can be dragged out of the way.)
If you switch to one of the other Control Layouts (I like 4), then the OK button goes away b/c there is no longer a dialog. You will only get Apply, Reset, and Cancel.
