How to test other developer team's in-app purchase project? - iphone

I have an iOS developer account, and I help another developer to develop their in-app purchase App.
(There are two different accounts, and I am not in their developer team. That is, I don't have their certificate file)
Without valid signing provisioning file, I got invalid product error.
(I examined source code by using my own bundle ID, product ID, and use my team provisioning file, and it works.)
However, I have encountered the same situation before. I tested the in-app purchase successfully only filling bundle ID and product ID that another develop team given.
I am curious how did I make it.
Does there something change in in-app purchase rule? Or I misunderstood something?
Thanks for any helps.

Application loader error

This app contains an embedded provisioning profile that is not associated with your account. Please use a provisioning profile associated with team ID : I am getting this error while I upload the build with Application loader.
I am using two different accounts.
1) For creating provisioning profile
2) For uploading in iTunes.
Everything had worked fine till date. I have updated my app several times in app store. I am using the same procedure but facing this issue.
What might be the reason? Its an emergency Please help me on this.
Apple does not allow anymore submission of an app on a developer account if this app have been signed using a different developer account certificate (different team ID).
You have no other choice than sign you app with the developer account certificate where you want the submission to be done. If the Bundle ID is already taken on the other/previous developer account, you will have to sign your app using a wildcar mobile provision.
If you need push notif or Game Center or anything that need to avoid a wildcar AppStore mobile provision, then you are in trouble => setup a brand new app (new app ID / Bundle ID) and plan migration of your customers from the old app to the new one ...

I Think i have cracked this issue, But dont know if there is still a better solution.
As i used a different accounts for creating provisioning profile and submitting it in iTunes, because of which i got this error.
Solution: We have to use the same account for creating the provisioning profile and also submitting it in iTunes. As a trial i did the same, it just worked fine.
I have finally updated my app to app-store successfully!
Reason:
Actually we had an corporate account and an individual developer account. Before we use to update using the individual account, Since the Apple Licence agreement changed some time back.
We cannot upload or update your app with the individual account if it is connected with the corporate account.
Soln:
Need to add or link the individual account to corporate account.

In app purchase through distribution profile

I am trying to implement the in-app purchase but while reading the tutorial-> http://troybrant.net/blog/2010/01/in-app-purchases-a-full-walkthrough/ i come to know that there should be developer provisioning profile instead of distribution profile to test the in-app purchase. I want to hand over the app to my client for testing purpose later on . So my question is should i implement in-app with distribution profile? Will my client able to test it? If Not than any other idea? I havn't said to my client to create developer account till yet. Please help me
You have to use developer profile for testing in-app purchase, your client will be able to test it(based on type of in-app).

In-app purchase product id clarification

I have used "product id" like this "ADR123" in my application. I am getting "invalid product identifier" in-app purchase not working, whether this product id is valid or not?
u need to ensure that the bundle identifier is the one which is for the same app you have on itunesconnect which is having this product id added in in-app-purchase
Follow the checklists of http://troybrant.net/blog/2010/01/invalid-product-ids/
Also refer to this blog.
Checklists:-
Have you enabled In-App Purchases for your App ID?
Have you checked Cleared for Sale for your product?
Have you submitted (and optionally rejected) your application binary?
Does your project’s .plist Bundle ID match your App ID?
Have you generated and installed a new provisioning profile for the new App ID?
Have you configured your project to code sign using this new provisioning profile?
Are you building for iPhone OS 3.0 or above?
Are you using the full product ID when when making an SKProductRequest?
Have you waited several hours since adding your product to iTunes Connect?
Are your bank details active on iTunes Connect? (via Mark)
Have you tried deleting the app from your device and reinstalling? (via Hector, S3B, Alex O, Joe, and Alberto)
Is your device jailbroken? If so, you need to revert the jailbreak for IAP to work. (via oh my god, Roman, and xfze)

Error Submitting My App to the App Store

I have setup my App Buddle ID in the Provisioning Portal. (I am NOT using any wildcards in the name.) I have been able to successfully generate provisioning certificates and have run my app on my device and have even distributed via Ad-Hoc already. However, when I then go into iTunes Connect, (or using the Application Loader), I click on "Manage Your Applications" and then I add my company name and hit Next... and then I get the message "You have no eligible Bundle IDs for iOS apps. To register one click here." The "here" links back over to the Provisioning Portal where I see my Bundle ID. It's like the Portal and iTunes Connect aren't in sync. This has been going on for about two weeks now. Several others have reported this error but none of the suggested solutions I have read work for me. It's a free app so I don't need a paid contract or anything. iTunes Connect shows that all is good on the contract and banking side of things.
I have been unable to get any resolution on this from Apple. (I've called the Developer Support line and posted on the Apple Developer Forum. TWICE!) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you!
Before you create an app on iTunesConnect, you must create an AppId on the Provisioning Portal. Note that if you have already used an AppId (even if you deleted the app), you won't be able to use the same AppId again.
Try creating another AppId and using it to create your app on iTunesConnect.

Can I change the Bundle Identifier in my app after it's been approved?

I've got my app approved a while ago and used the * provisioning profile so I created somehting like:
com.mydomain.MyApp
but now I have the necessity of adding push notifications and I can't due I am using the * provisioning profile and it needs to have its own app ID and profile.
How should I proceed in order to achieve an app update without breaking anything
The bundle identifier for an app must always remain the same between updates, but the AppID can actually be different. So all you need to do is create a new AppID that used the same bundle identifier as the original app instead of a wild card.
Apps that use a wildcard still need a normal bundle identifier. The wildcard AppID lets you use any bundle identifier you like, but it still needs one.
There used to be an Apple article about this:
but it is no longer available online However, an archive is available.
You can't change the CFBundleIdentifier of a released app if you want to release updates for it, the App Store will automatically reject it when you upload. So...
I needed to enable iAds on an app previously developed with a wildcard App ID. Here's what I did:
I have a wildcard App ID of <AlphaNumeric>.* which my app currently uses, and my app has a CFBundleIdentifier of com.companyname.mygame.
Created a new App ID of <AlphaNumeric>.com.companyname.mygame.
Created new development and distribution provisioning profiles that include the new App ID.
Download the new provisioning profiles to Xcode and my devices.
I was then able to compile the App with the new non-wildcard distribution profile, which meant on upload I could enable iAds (or Push for you). The CFBundleIdentifier didn't change so the new compilation appears as an update to the existing app.
I can confirm this process worked without issue.
Under Frequently Asked Questions in the document entitled "Technical Note TN2259," which is "Adding In-App Purchase to your iOS and Mac Applications," there's this bit
Question: My iOS application is currently signed with a Provisioning Profile
that uses a wildcard App ID. How do I enable my App ID to support
In-App Purchase?
Answer: Read the Creating and Configuring App IDs section of
the iOS Team Administration Guide to learn how you can enable your App
ID to support In-App Purchase.
The link points here, and there's a section called, "Updating Your App to Include APNS, iCloud, In-App Purchase, or Game Center Requires an Explicit App ID"
That said, I don't know (yet) at what point the app takes on the new App ID. Is it when you upload for review, before that, or when it has been approved? I am working on this problem now, so I might be able to add to this answer soon.
Edit: The explicit app id only affects the piece of software you are testing and has, essentially, nothing to do with iTunes Connect whatsoever. This means that if you are testing in-app purchases, the piece of software that's running (your app) has to have a provision profile based on a cert that is app specific. What happens in iTunes Connect is totally irrelevant.
