Netbeans Error: The folder name is not valid (when creating a new file) - netbeans

I'm trying to create a new file however I keep getting the error The Folder Name is not valid whereas the file path to that directory most definitely exists
here is a screen shot
Has anyone ever encountered this bug?

Possible problem 1: Drive C: and/or further folder structure does not exist on your computer
Possible problem 2: You don't have write permissions for that folder
Possible problem 3: It is hosted on *nix and therefore case sensitive...
In Netbeans 6.8 there was a bug like this. Take a look
Bug 177353 - The Folder Name is not valid

.Net restore getting wrong absolute path

I have a project that is in a zip that was originally coded on a windows 7 OS.I have since moved to windows 10 and I am trying to continue working on the project on my Windows 10 PC.
The issue is that somehow the path is still set as old path and as a result the build fails.
Failed to read NuGet.Config due to unauthorized access. Path:
'C:\Users\abc\RiderProjects\myproject\NuGet.Config'. --->
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path
'C:\Users\abc\RiderProjects\myproject' is denied.
The path C:\Users\abc\RiderProjects\myproject should be C:\Users\xyz\RiderProjects\myproject.I looked within the project if i can find hardcoded references to the old path but in vain but i can see references to old path in /bin and /obj folder.
I already tried the following:
1.Look for hardcoded references to old path within solution directory
2.Clean solution
I had to do the following to fix the issue in that specific order.
1.Remove obj and bin folders from every project.A proper gitignore file should be added before commiting to a git repository. In my case since I got the project in a zip , there was some obj file in some projects in the solution
2.Clean the solution
3.Rebuild the project

Change .vscode folder location

I'm programming a client side applications using SharePoint Designer 2013.
I want to change to VSCODE since it supports a lot of extensions for some Javascript library like angular, jQuery. And because of the Chrome/Node.js debugger extension.
But when I try to start any Debugger, I got the error:
Unable to create 'launch.json' file inside the '.vscode' folder (Error: UNKNOWN: unknown error, mkdir '\\servername\DavWWWRoot\sitename\Style Library\.vscode').
I get this error because it's impossible to create a folder in SharePoint where the name starts with dot.
So there's a possibility to change the name of this folder or the file location to any directory in my local computer?
No, it's not possible to move/rename that folder. VS code is a tool that bases project management on folder content. So it is essential that the project settings reside in the folder being managed.
You can move the "extensions" folder, but unfortunately not the argv.json (so the ".vscode" will, at least be recreated on vscode launch)

I hope that'll finally change sometime .

pgAdmin4 import file error - can't find file

I'm having a problem importing a csv file to pgAdmin4 on a mac - it simply can't find the file. This is so simple that I'm hoping there's just a setting I've failed to set up.
In the import/export data function on a table, there is the Import/Export dialog that looks like this:
However, it can't find the file:
That error looks like the standard python error when you give it the wrong path to a file. But it's correct - that's where the file is: '/tmp/person616.csv' - I didn't even enter the name/path, I browsed to it.
Has this happened to anybody else? Know how to fix it?
The exact problem has been bothering me for quite some days now. There are not much resources available to address it. So here's what I did:
I created a new folder giving it a strange name making sure that it is unique under the "/" directory and in the pgAdmin4 panel you're in rn.
I used below commands to find the new strange named folder that I just created: (i) sudo su (ii) find -iname [strange named folder] -type d
And after some time here it was. My path was revealed.
In my case, the path was
/var/lib/pgadmin/storage/[pgAdmin4_username]
I suspect that path for "PostgreSQL Binary Path" is not set properly in pgAdmin4.
In pgAdmin4 Goto:
File > Preferences > Paths > Binary paths > PostgreSQL Binary Path
Sample paths as below (You need to change it according to your Postgres location),
If you are using Windows than provide path like,
C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.6\bin
If you are using Linux than provide path like,
/opt/PostgreSQL/9.5/bin
If you are using Mac than provide path where you have installed PG,
/Library/PostgreSQL/9.6/bin
And try again.
I just had the same problem and found the solution. PGAdmin4's root directory is not your root directory. It starts at
/home/[your_username]/.pgadmin/storage/[your PGAdmin_username]/
So if you put your file or backup directories there, it can find the files.
It also helps to have it show "all" files in the backup dialog, so it can find files with your own extensions. e.g. I use `filename.custom' which it doesn't recognize.
In pgAdmin, when you right-click on a database and click Restore, in the bottom-right corner of the mini-interface, just above the Select button, you can see Format 'dorpdown-list'. Make sure that the drop-down list isn't limiting your displayed files, so select All Files.
Right click on table > import/export >
Toggle "Import" mode > select file >
Upload Files then select each for every table

Unable to read package metadata. This may be due to missing repodata directory. Please ensure that your install tree has been correctly generated

I am new for centos installation. I downloaded a minimul version of centos 6.5, around 339.7mb of size. I am trying to install this with GUI interface but I got an error after selecting the drive option, which comes after selecting the country.
This is complete message,
Unable to read package metadata. This may be due to missing repodata directory. Please ensure that your install tree has been correctly generated.
Failare:
repodata/743fec56b2af0ce8d6ec82c47a4efafc2a4d18cddfa9683f29611cb18d1a33de-primary.sqlite.bz2 from anaconda-CentOS-201311271240.i386: [Ermo 256] No more mirrors to try.
Sorry but I am new here, so I can't put the exact image here.
I believe that i had this same issue and was able to solve it.
The files under the /repodata folder are missing their file extensions and are not matching their full names in the "TRANS.TBL" file, under this same dir.
Rename all the files to match what is in the "TRANS.TBL" file, then try the install over again.
Please let everyone know if this works for you.
In the past i would just put a URL in that pointed to the correct files on a server, i feel that most people take this workaround and that's why it's not as hot of an item as it should be. I hope this gets fixed in the .ISO.
Thank you,
YourFriend
It worked for me.
I renamed all 8 files.
i.e. 0e371b19e547b9d7a7e8acc4b8c0c7c074509d33653cfaef9e8f4fd1d62d95de
0e371b19e547b9d7a7e8acc4b8c0c7c074509d33653cfaef9e8f4fd1d62d95de-primary.sqlite.bz2
The correct file name is given in file "repomd" under folder repodata
example - location href="repodata/b124f0ec5323cfee56b420906a3103f0daef656dde3f7ac8220120aa7504e57a-primary.xml.gz"
I had exactly the same issue ;
under "repodata" directory opened "repmod" xml file
Searched file name within repmond xml file
Found matching strings
Renamed 8 files as specified in .xml file
and it worked like a charm
Thanks to "Your Friend"
I had the same problem. Even if you manage to get past this step, you will encounter at a later point other errors related to filenames.
The root cause was using Unetbootin to create the bootable media. I switched to Rufus and everything works fine now.

How to set workspace in eclipse to a directory that has space in it?

In my code, i get the workspace directory and then create a temporary file in it. However, my workspace directory has space in it:
C:\Documents and Settings\F1QB\Workspace
When my code reads this, it throws an error saying that it cannot find the directory. Now, i read that i should use a directory with no spaces in it. But, since i am working on my company's machine, I don't have admin access. So, this is the only directory i can use.
I tried switch workspace option and gave %20 instead of the space. But, eclipse throws an error on restart. It says:
The folder C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\F1QB\.metadata is read only.
Is there any workaround for this problem? Thanks for the help in advance
Try c:\Docume~1\F1QB\Workspace that usually works for long file and directory names.
