pgAdmin4 import file error - can't find file - postgresql

I'm having a problem importing a csv file to pgAdmin4 on a mac - it simply can't find the file. This is so simple that I'm hoping there's just a setting I've failed to set up.
In the import/export data function on a table, there is the Import/Export dialog that looks like this:
However, it can't find the file:
That error looks like the standard python error when you give it the wrong path to a file. But it's correct - that's where the file is: '/tmp/person616.csv' - I didn't even enter the name/path, I browsed to it.
Has this happened to anybody else? Know how to fix it?

The exact problem has been bothering me for quite some days now. There are not much resources available to address it. So here's what I did:
I created a new folder giving it a strange name making sure that it is unique under the "/" directory and in the pgAdmin4 panel you're in rn.
I used below commands to find the new strange named folder that I just created: (i) sudo su (ii) find -iname [strange named folder] -type d
And after some time here it was. My path was revealed.
In my case, the path was
/var/lib/pgadmin/storage/[pgAdmin4_username]

I suspect that path for "PostgreSQL Binary Path" is not set properly in pgAdmin4.
In pgAdmin4 Goto:
File > Preferences > Paths > Binary paths > PostgreSQL Binary Path
Sample paths as below (You need to change it according to your Postgres location),
If you are using Windows than provide path like,
C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.6\bin
If you are using Linux than provide path like,
/opt/PostgreSQL/9.5/bin
If you are using Mac than provide path where you have installed PG,
/Library/PostgreSQL/9.6/bin
And try again.

I just had the same problem and found the solution. PGAdmin4's root directory is not your root directory. It starts at
/home/[your_username]/.pgadmin/storage/[your PGAdmin_username]/
So if you put your file or backup directories there, it can find the files.
It also helps to have it show "all" files in the backup dialog, so it can find files with your own extensions. e.g. I use `filename.custom' which it doesn't recognize.

In pgAdmin, when you right-click on a database and click Restore, in the bottom-right corner of the mini-interface, just above the Select button, you can see Format 'dorpdown-list'. Make sure that the drop-down list isn't limiting your displayed files, so select All Files.

Right click on table > import/export >
Toggle "Import" mode > select file >
Upload Files then select each for every table

How to fix the error with importing files in pgAdmin 4

When I want to import/export data to a table in my database appears a issue.
"Utility not found. C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\14\pgAdmin 4\bin\psql.exe' file not found. Please correct the Binary Path in the Preferences dialog".
But the thing is that I put the correct path to my files where pgAdmin is installed, but idk why there is no necessary files how you see in the error.
Go to Preference > paths > Binary Paths > PostgreSQL Binary Path > PostgreSQL 14
set path as C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\14\bin\
then save > Refresh your Table
and now try importing
If it does not work after that, validate the folder

Not able to check out files with long names in ClearCase Explorer

I am not able to find checkout option for a file when I right click on it in ClearCase explorer while the option is available for rest of the files.
The only difference is that the file I want to check in has a very long name ( I am using Windows ).
While I am able to check in via cleartool commands, it isn't possible from front end ( CC explorer) Is there any way to check out such files from CC explorer?
There are two possible causes for a checkout unavailable:
the path of the file itself is too long (combined with the long filename, more than 256 characters): a subst command can help shorten the path.
or the file is already checked out.
A cleartool status can help distinguish between those two cases.
And a cleartool lsvtree -graph aFile (replace aFile with your long filename) can help see the file history and see if it is checked out (reserved or not) in another view.
The window 255 characters restriction for file name can't be bypass or any sidestep if it.
You have the following options:
1. Try to shorten the name. Including all the folders that are the prefix for the view. Like vonC suggested.
2. Try create the view on Linux, and mount the folder to some shared area that can be seen in windows.
3. Use dynamic view, but Im not sure it will work.
Keep in mind, that other apps can also fail even after you solve it for clearcase as it is a Windows problem. Like msbuild or visual studio.

restore database PgAdmin4

i am trying to restore database in PgAdmin 4 and getting an error
"[Errno 2] No such file or directory" with i assume is related to the the backup file, which is located in /Users/myuser/Downloads/dbupload (PostgreSQL installed on my local machine). This makes me believe that the issue is not with the file but with the link to the file.
In pgadmin 3 all is working ok and given that pgadmin was related a few weeks ago, i am not getting much support online.
Any assistance is highly appreciated.
This is already answered: "[Errno 2] No such file or directory" when trying to backup a database in pgAdmin4
And make sure you use pgAdmin4 file manager to locate your file & once your file is selected using file manager, it displays properly in Filename filed
/Users/myuser/Downloads/dbupload/< your_selected_restore_file >
if you see /Users/myuser/Downloads/dbupload/ means your file is not selected properly.
So, you have to go to OTHER LOCATIONS, then:
var/lib/pgadmin/storage/postgres_localhost
There, I created a folder called Backup and put all the backup files from the Databases.
Remember that you need to access these locations as Root.
You can do that either by installing Nautilus, then clicking with the right-button on the folder and Open as Administrator (you will be requested your password of course).

OpenERP 7 development environment: web module not found

I setup an Ubuntu environment and used bzr to get the 3 trunks: addons, server, web
Everything works and the server starts fine.
I then loaded the project in Eclipse and tried to run openerp-server. I got this error (module web: module not found). I then copied the entries (addons_path) in the openerp-server.conf from /etc/ to the conf file in server/install folder. I also created a copy of this file and pasted in server folder, in the hopes that eclipse would pick it up.
But I am still getting the same error. Three questions please:
Which conf file should I add this path for eclipse to use? Where does this file reside?
If I must use a command line switch to specify the web/addons path then how do I do that in eclipse?
There used to be a file with a lot of different variable such as pg_path, rpc, etc. Is that file still around? Maybe that is where I need to make this entry?
Thanks
I had to add a "-c /etc/openerp-server.conf" argument. Right click on the openerp-server file, launch the properties window, select Run/Debug Settings, select the only launch configuration available, edit, select the arguments tab.
I added them manually to eclipse run configurations > arguments.
e.g.
--db_host = {host}
--db_port = {port}
--db_user = {user}
--db_password = {password}
--addons = ../addons,../server/addons

Xcode - resource already exists?

I'm simply trying to add a file to my Xcode resources folder and it fails claiming the file already exists, which simply isn't true.
I assume it has a record of the name and is confusing itself, I tried performing a 'clean' but this didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks!
click on project and get info. Then search for the file. And then delete it.
Try fully closing/re-opening Xcode and failing that, reboot yet?
Just to be sure, use the file filter at the bottom of the project navigator to triple check the file is not there.
If the file is definatly not in the project sometimes Xcode gets confused when you delete a file and the file may actually be on disk. So check the actual project directory on disk to ensure that your file is not in there.
Quick way to get to your project directory, right click the project file (or any file) and select Show in Finder or at the very top of the Xcode window cmd + click the project title and select the folder it is in.
